Description: Delicious pot roast made with very little prep. Coming in to the smell is wonderful.
Ingredients: 2-3 lb beef roast
salt and pepper
How To Prepare: Spritz your crock with a little oil spray. Place beef roast in crock. Cook 4-5 hrs on high, 8-10 on low. Don't worry, the juice from the roast will keep it from drying out. Try not to lift the lid often, this will add to the cooking time. About halfway through, I like to turn the roast over. This is a favorite dish here, even my picky 12 yr old likes it. If you want to add vegetables, add them about two hours before you expect cooking time to end. You could add squash, celery, peppers, water chestnuts, green beans, whatever you like. Serve with salad or cooked greens. Beans are very good with this, use the leftovers for chili.
Number of Servings: varies
Preparation Time: about 5 minutes to start, and 10 minutes to serve
Effort (Easy, Average, Difficult): Easy
