Description:
|
|
|
Ingredients:
|
1 pound hamburger -- lean
1 can tomato paste
1 onion
1 container cottage cheese
2 tablespoons butter or
margerine
1/4 cup water
Spices (depends on your
taste)
|
|
How To Prepare:
|
Preheat oven to 350
degrees.
Place hamburger in large
bowl, combine 1/2 cup
cottage cheese and mix.
Chop one whole onion (I
use my food processer)
and mix one half onion
mixture into hamburger. Mix
together.
In a seperate bowl, mix
water and tomato paste
together and stir with wire
whisk.
In a small saucepan,
combine butter and rest of
onion together and sautee.
Then stir in tomato paste.
Cook for few minutes.
In a loaf pan, layer half of
hamburger mixture on the
bottom and cover with a
layer of about 2 or 3
tablespoons cottage
cheese. Then cover with
half of tomato paste
mixture. Make another layer
of with the rest of the meat
mixture and cover with the
rest of the tomato paste
mixture. Then add whatever
spices you like best. I used
salt, pepper and garlic
powder and thought those
spices really made the
meatloaf!
Cook for 40-45 minutes and
let sit for at least 15
minutes. Serve hot. Enjoy!
