This is commonly used to cool the tongue when eating spicy foods.
1 large cucumber, peeled..
3 cup plain yogurt, (again I prefer sour cream)
˝ medium onion
1 tsp salt
1 tsp. Cumin seeds
How To Prepare:
Place cumin seeds into a dry , heavy saucepan, and heat until the seeds start jumping. Crush the seeds with a mortar and pestle to a fine powder. Cut the cucumbers into spears… and then again in half… Mix the yogurt, onion and salt with half of the crushed cumin seed. Place the spears into a dish and then pour the yogurt mixture over the top and then sprinkle the remain crushed cumin over all.
