To answer any questions:
I did atkins starting May 27, 2003. I did it successfully for quite a few months and lost 50lbs. Then, I started eating too much cheese, peanut butter, fried foods that were breaded with flour, too many nuts and things. I convinced myself that I was still eating low carb, but I was eating way too much and I was no longer truly following Atkins. I managed to get down to the weight of 191, before gaining back to 204 in September of 2006. I made the decision to try the Scarsdale Medical Diet. I thought that a change was what I needed, but I did not want to go off low carb, because I see low carb eating as a way of life for me. I lost 30lbs on Scarsdale in about 4 months. My lowest weight on Scarsdale was 162.5. I let bad eating habits come back in, and went off Scarsdale. I kept my eating low carb, but was not following a plan and I was making poor choices with what I ate. I ended up gaining back up to 179.5 by December of 2007. In January my sister and our best friend decided that we had to make some changes. I recommitted to low carb, and in late January my sister and I decided to try Weight Watchers with our best friend. We ended up loving it. I was 179 when I joined Weight Watchers. I'm now 147. I do my best to keep my carbs low. I eat a lot of lean meats and vegetables, and modify some great low carb recipes.
