Got test results....HELP interpret plz

Hello all! I went to the dr. complaining of thinning hair, gained 35 lbs in almost a month, tired etc. Anyhoo, she did several tests and here are the results. All she told me was that I am not in menopause and she would refer me to an Endocrinologist. So I am looking for a little help here until I get in to see the endo. Also any questions I may need to ask. Previously, I have been diagnosed with PCOS, Metabolic Syndrome X, Insulin Resistant, Hypoglycemic and I was on thyroid medicine for a while after the triplets were born - then they stopped it cold turkey(switched docs since then). Thanks in advance for all the help.
Wendy

Hello! I'm not a medical professional so I can't interpret your labs, but, it looks as though you've listed the normal ranges along with your levels, so, there ya go. I'd recommend asking your MD for more specifics regarding the interpretation of the results (I realize a lot of docs just dismiss labs and won't take the time to explain or listen....if that's the case....time for a new doc).

However, I CAN speak regarding FSH because I had TONS of perimenopausal symptoms in my 30's and 40's and my FSH was normal e v e r y s i n g l e
t i m e it was tested, and it was so frustrating. (Now my FSH is over 50 so I have an excuse for my thinning hair, loss of waist, crashing fatigue...etc.!)

In any case, I can tell you first hand that I had symptoms on and off for a LONG time before my labs actually reflected what I was going through.

Good luck if/when you decide to have the Endo consult, I hope they take time to explain things.

thanks!!

Well, I went to the Endo yesterday....basically she told me everything is normal, and all my symptoms are just a result of turning 40. Calories in calories out...calories are the only thing that matters. I was really disappointed in how the whole visit went. I will keep plugging away until I find someone who will take the time to realize I don't fit in to the puzzle exactly the way she thinks ;)
