Thanks ladies. I'm really nervous for tomorrow's appointments. I guess because I don't really know what all they entail. I do hope we can get some answers soon, and wish I could fast forward past all this waiting.

Hope you got some answers, Suzie. Thinking of you

Things are going well here. Miles is growing like a weed. He is too funny. He has some bad eczema on his head Neither my husband or I ever had it so I took him to the dr. We just have to wash his hair everyday and keep it moisturized. Hope he outgrows it.

We are still waiting on a lot of blood work to come back, but the preliminary news is as good as it could be. I don't want to give too many details here yet, as there are family members who still need to be updated. They didn't know we were even going to a specialist, so I'm telling them slowly as I see them in person. I will say that the genetic specialists truly believe that it was a spontaneous mutation, so very little concern it would happen again.

Thank you ladies for all of your continued support.

Glad the news was as good as it could be, Suzie!

Ladies, I'm back - slight regain from my low weight at the middle of March (147, I was 165 this morning with a bunch of bloat) because I'm expecting baby #5 in January 2015. We're SO excited and as always I'll be staying Atkins, in the low rungs, for the vast majority of the pregnancy.

Happy to be back on the baby talk and seeing some new faces

Suzie - I am glad you are getting some answers and they are positive!

Taryl - Fabulous news, congrats!

Alie - Try a coconut oil rinse after shampooing. Wesley had horrible cradle cap and it cleared it up quickly! I just melted a little (like half a tsp) in warm water and poured it over his head before taking him out of the bath.

Sorry I have been MIA. I pop into the playground once in a while but I have been swamped with 2 kiddos and a new job. We have been here a month now and just got the house finished with set up, etc. We are SO happy here! The kids are growing like weeds and they love each other so much. Wesley was 4 mo last week.

Hope you are all doing well!

Hi ladies! Just checking in. I try to keep up with y'all, but obviously don't comment much. The boys are 7.5 months old. Geez, time flies. We're still EBFing and have started playing with solids. They've had avocado, soft boiled egg yolk, sweet potato, butternut squash, and pumpkin. And, as always, a pic for y'all....

Taryl- congrats!!! How exciting. Hoping this pregnancy goes smoothly

Andi- so glad you guys are doing well! Sounds like it was the best move for your family.
We have been doing coconut oil multiple times a day and the. Washing it well every night. It seems to disappear for a few days and then come back. Now it seems to be itching him. Poor thing. We have his 4 month appt Thursday so we'll follow up.

Sutton- oh my goodness. Those boys are just too cute!!! Congrats on the BF! Amazing job

Our precious baby boy Dominick came home on 2/21 after 133 days in the NICU. He is 7 months actual, 3.5 months adjusted age. He's on a minimal amount of oxygen, and struggles a bit with eating, but otherwise he is doing great. He came home with a feeding tube which we pulled out several weeks ago. Since then, he gains weight slow, but his ped is not concerned. He is 12 pounds now. We consider ourselves lucky - He is doing incredibly well considering how early he was born.

Debbie - OMG, he is so precious! I have missed you and I am so happy that baby is home and you are all getting to be one happy family without hospitals and docs, etc. Kisses from me!

CJ - I just took all the pics off my phone except my new avi. This was Wesley last week when he turned 4 mo. He lost a lot of his hair but it is starting to come back in now.

This is Miles' 4 month picture! It is crazy because he looks like such a little chunk these days, but he's kinda tiny. He still barely fits into his 3 months clothes! I had to just buy him a bunch bc I just assumed he'd be in 6 months by now and he has no 3 m summer clothes. He's about 14 lbs.

Oh my goodness! All the adorable babies!! Seriously, Wesley, Miles, and Dominick are absolutely precious! Wesley - hello dimples! What a smile! And Miles's smirk is to die for!

Debbie - it's so good to hear from you! God bless little Dominick. He's a fighter, that's for sure!

All these cute babies boys are killing me, ladies! They're gorgeous!

Send some boy dust my way, we don't mind another girl but we already have three girlies in one bedroom and my son is alone, so he could use a room mate

Miles had his 4 month appt last week. 14 lbs 7 oz and in the 40%. I was surprised! He is starting to get chunky he handled his shots pretty well the day of but over the weekend was miserable. We couldn't even console him so we broke down and gave him Tylenol. He seems to be better today.

Alie - DS1 handled all but one immunization appt fine, it may have been his 4 mo ones. We gave him Infant Advil too. Don't feel bad about it! DS2 wont get his 4 mo immunizations until June due to our benefits changing with my new job. I weighed him yesterday though and he was 23.3 lbs. This boy is a big one. He is about 2 mo ahead of where DS1 was. DS1 was around this weight at 6 mo.

Okay.. this post may get lengthy so sorry in advance! I have had a chance to talk to all immediate family. I wanted to update you ladies as you have been so supportive.

Mike and I have had some issues with infertility. My obgyn sent us to a specialist in St. Louis, we are about 20 mins out in Illinois. Fortunate to live so close to a resource of some great hospitals and doctors! The first specialist my obgyn recommended couldn't get me in to mid June. I spoke to a friend who has been through the struggle of infertility. She recommended her dr. who got me an appt in April!

At the first appointment, the doctor was mostly concerned with Connor and the possibility of it happening again. He wanted to run two different blood tests and send me to a genetic specialist. We were told not to try in the mean time.

The genetic specialist believes that Connor had Noonan Syndrome, based on his autopsy. We can never know 100%, since we can't do more blood work. The good news is that she thinks this was a spontaneous mutation. Meaning, it wasn't my husband and my genes together that caused it in any way. It is a small comfort, because we still don't have him, but we don't have to worry about it in the future. (of course I still will!) It is a very slim chance it would happen again.

They did a blood test that tests for over 160 genetic disorder on me. I came back as a carrier for only one, and that was something that dealt with chronic kidney stones. Nothing that would be fatal or even show up in a prenatal manner.

The other blood work came back showing I am positive for mthfr. This means that my body doesn't process folic acid correctly. They have me on Folguard to help my body get the correct amount of folic acid, along with my prenatal. They also have me on one baby aspirin a day, because the folic acid issue puts me at a higher risk for blood clots.

I went to the doctor (infertility specialist) Friday. He did an ultrasound of my ovaries to make sure my body was producing an egg and it was maturing correctly. It was, so I got a shot of HCG to give it a growth spurt and a "timed" release. It also does something to help my uterine lining I guess. He also did a test to make sure my cervical mucus wasn't aggressive. It wasn't! (finally an appt of all good news).

The doctor is now confident in helping DH and I have a baby! This month we have the HCG shot and timed trying basically. They are also having me start progesterone on the 29th. *fingers crossed* If this doesn't work our next step would be an IUI.

Thanks for always being so supportive. I'm feeling really good after getting all of these results back and am ready to get trying again!

Lots of good news from everyone! What a nice check in on this board
I'm approaching 23 weeks, as per expected with a team green baby #3 we haven't even really discussed names lol! Hearburn is killing me. But after ganing like 8 pounds rapidly in the first 10 weeks, I've stalled out. I'm going on 8 weeks with no gain, hoping I don't get yelled at, at my next appt. Since I started out a little overweight, I doubt they'll care much, but we'll see. I officially had to give up running at 19 weeks, but am still managing to eat pretty well and head to the gym and/or walk most days of the week. But my brain and mental state miss my running most of all.

Not yet! I'm still just kind of waiting to see how this cycle ends up! I should know by next week if I'm pregnant or if we are going into another cycle with the specialist.

Well.. I spoke too soon. I just started my period this afternoon.

That means another month of appts with the specialist. I tried to call to let them know, but they are closed for the weekend already. Sigh. I will give myself a few days but then shake it off and get ready for the next round.

That's what I'm thinking! We already had plans for a friend to come over, so that will be a nice distraction.
