Woohoo Suzie! Yeah, it's reassuring to know you're ovulating like you're supposed to. Good luck!!

It is very reassuring!

Plus, using the sticks, I realized that I was ovulating a few days later than I was thinking. Therefore, we weren't really doing our best trying at the right time. We were trying earlier, and then just getting to that point of blah when we should have been ramping it up. ha ha Hopefully, this new knowledge will equal a positive test sometime soon!

How is everyone doing?? Hard to believe my little Miles is 5 weeks old today. He has changed so much already! We've gotten a lot of snow here this year which has been nice because my husband has been getting snow days and staying home with us. Really nice to have the help!

We are doing great! Hannah is all done breastfeeding, I have been struggling for about a month now to keep her interested but she just doesn't have any patience for it anymore. She was such a big nurser before solids I am really pretty surprised that I couldn't keep her interested since she seemed to love it so much before. After a month of her biting me out of frustration (and drawing blood! ouch!) I called it quits. She will takes a bottle well but it is the same story as with breastfeeding, most of the time she is just not having it. I was worried at first about her getting dehydrated, but she has lots of wet/dirty diapers. I'm trying not to stress about it and just let her eat when she's hungry. She is a great baby, sleeping 12 hours through the night most of the time. Happy and smiling all the time.

Had my first u/s @ 8 weeks and all is well. Sicker than ever which says a lot since I was sick the whole way through with both previous. Needless to say food and liquids are pure survival mode and exercise has fallen away for now. Hope all is well with everyone else.

Alie - good to hear from you! I'd love to see some current pics of Miles.

CJ - how old is Hannah now? Just curious when I might be dealing with the same thing. We need fresh pics of Hannah as well. ;-)

Rainypep - congrats on that first ultrasound going well, but sorry about the first trimester yuckies. :-(

Andi - how are you and your new little man?

All is great here. My boys are so much fun, smiling all the time, cooing nonstop, and just happy babies. Breastfeeding is going smoothly, which I am thrilled about. They will be 5 months on the 23rd. Here's a pic. I'm thinking they might be identical after all. There was a 15% chance that they could be identical. I should probably have them tested to see.

Sutton those babes look identical to me! They are cuter than ever, love them Props to you for breastfeeding twins, I can't even imagine! Do you mind me asking what your carb/calorie intake is like? How is your post baby weight loss? I notice you are about my height.

Hannah is 8 months now. I am disappointed we weren't able to breastfeed for a year like I wanted, but being free from pumping at work has been a major plus.

I'm holding on to 16 pounds of baby weight right now. Trying to settle into a good eating/workout plan. It is much harder to find the time and energy now that I am a mom but I am really determined to lose this weight and take good care of myself.

Thank you CJ! I'm keeping my carbs higher than I'd like at around 150g to 200g. Weight loss has been non-existent, but I've accepted that for now. I delivered the boys on a Monday and by Friday I weighed 172 lbs. Today I weigh 172.4 lbs. I'm thinking about counting calories (ug) to see if I can get the scale to budge. If not, I'll just stay fluffy until these boys wean, haha!

Yes, it is so much harder to find time to eat right and exercise! Who would've thunk babies would take up so much time? Haha, just kidding! Good luck with the weight loss! Keep us posted on how it goes.

I weighed 163 at my 6 week checkup. At my OB appointment last week (8 months PP) I weighed 166 Crap. I'm just trying to find the time/energy to do SOME kind of exercise/dieting. Anything! For now I'm just counting going up and down two flights of stairs with a baby/laundry basket in tow a couple times a day as exercise. My legs are sore sometimes!

I tried LC but was so miserable I quit after a week. I used to LOVE LC! I used to get cravings pretty hardcore, but this time around I was physically sick, I almost passed out at work. It was crazy! I wonder if weight watchers would be a better fit for now?

I've never done WW, but it just seems like there is no focus on food quality. Am I wrong?

It seems like it would just be easier and cheaper to count calories.

You are probably right. I have a calorie counting app on my phone, should give that a try. Are you super hungry with nursing two babies? Are they EBF or getting some solids?

Southern CJ, I found while nursing or pregnant strict LC is just very difficult. That I need to eat some good quality carbs throughout the day. But when the hormones are out of my system I have no problems returning to my LC roots. But it really is the hormones for me that make it impossible.

CJ - they are still EBF. We will be doing baby led weaning, but I don't think they're anywhere near ready at this point. Maybe around 6 months.

Go as long as you can! Some of the girls on my other birth board with twins went a little longer (7 or 8 months) with EBF since their twins were a bit "younger" with their adjusted ages.

How is everyone else doing? Didn't mean to turn this board into a personal sound off for me. Still waiting to hear back from Carlini, hope that all is well

Hi guys!

Sutton - those boys look identical to me too. So adorable! Great job on the BF'ing!

CJ - 8 mo is young but some babies are just over it sooner than others. With DS1 I had to cut him off cold turkey at 14 mo.

Wesley is doing great, he is 7 wks today! As you know, he was nearly 10lbs when he was born and I weighed him the other day and got 17.6 lbs! He is a big one! Harris was big too but not quite this chubby. Wesley is definitely chubby. Harris has his 3 yr check up last month and he is in the 95th percentile for both height and weight so I think we just have 2 really big boys on our hands. Lord help us!

BF'ing is going great for me. We are trying to introduce the bottle to the baby and it isnt going that well. Time kind of got away from me and we probably should have started a few weeks ago instead of a few days ago. With Harris, I think we started around 4 wks.

I had gained 18 lbs with the pregnancy and promptly lost 32 which put me below my pre pregnancy weight but the scale has stopped. I am going to have to get back to LC or something soon.

I wish Carlini would check in.

So glad to hear you are all doing well!

Looooove the pics Andi! He is a BIG boy, wow! I think Hannah was 18 lb 4 oz at her 6 month checkup and she was off the (girl) charts. Good for you nursing a big healthy baby, he's a sweetie

ETA: You're below your pre-preg weight?! I could strangle you. In a loving way

Hi all. Things have been a bit stressful here. At my 6 week pp check up we found my BP was back up. They had me keep an eye on it and it ended up going up to 220/125 and I had to go to the ER I'm doing OK. On medication now. They do believe it is hormonal and it should resolve itself in a couple of months. I really hope so.

Nothing at all! It is super strange. I am watching my sodium now though.

We started cosleeping this week. I know it's a controlversial topic but it has been wonderful. We all get so much more sleep and DH and I love being so close to him at night. He's sleeping 3-4 hr stretches at night now.

My friend took BP medicine all through her pregnancy, no problems otherwise and they have a healthy baby girl now.
