Oh my, Lori. I'm so sorry you and Rose had to go through that. Poor baby. But I'm glad to hear it's nothing serious.

Poor little Rose! I am so glad she is okay and you guys erred on the side of caution! Her change in poop could probably be totally attributed to the antibiotics (but I'm not a mom or a doctor).

Andi did you take a digi yet?

I went back to the eye dr. today for a one week checkup and I'm still not totally cleared on my infection. She told me to do 4 more days on the antibiotic drops and another week in glasses. My eyes look totally clear but I suspected they might not be better yet as they still crust a little at night. I am so embarassed I still have this infection! I have been changing my pillow cases and sterilizing my hands like a crazy woman. It had better leave this time and not come back!

Lori - so glad she is OK, that is scary stuff!

CJ - you still have that eye infection? Man, I hope this round of antibiotics takes care of it. I did not take a digi, never made it to the store last night. I will try tonight. This time I wont carry it around and I will lay it flat like the directions say to. Then maybe I wont get an error message!

My doc called me back and she is straight off referring me to a perinatal clinic. She said since I will be a repeat c-sect and had hypertension with my last pregnancy, plus the recent loss, and my being overweight, she thinks it is for the best. Whatevs, honestly I have not been happy with her or her office staff anyway so maybe this will be a blessing. She was faxing my file over with a referral so I will call at lunch to make an appt.

Hi! I wondered where y'all went!!!! A new thread, eh? LOL!!!

Andi!!!! That is definitely a line!!!!!! Woo-hoo!!! Congratulations!!!

Lori-poor baby Rose, that would have broken my heart too. It was hard enough for me to see baby Ethan going through his helmet (DOC Band) fitting....and that was non-invasive. So, I couldn't even imagine.

I can't believe Ethan will be 7 months on Saturday. OMG, where does the time go? He's a little chubster himself. He is over 20 pounds now. And I have come to realize that he is exactly like his daddy. He likes to stay up late and sleep in late. Where as my older boy (18 month old Brandon) is like mommy-he likes to go to bed early and get up early. So, putting them in the same bedroom is probably not going to work out too well I'm thinking. Ethan is still in our room. So, what did we do? We went out and bought a new (to us), bigger house. Pending inspection and us selling our current house (for our mortgage to be approved). Oh boy....what did we get ourselves into? Moving (and doing some renovations) wtih two baby boys? In the end, if it all works out, it will be great. But I am gearing up for a very painful and stressful summer with two moves in the process. We basically have to move out of our current house when we sell it (hopefully quick, real estate is moving fast where we live and our house is "turn key" since we just did a total renovation on it back in 2010-2011). Our tenants in our townhouse are moving out at the end of June so we can move in there while we finish the renovations on the new place after we close and then we'll have to move our stuff there! Thank goodness for DH's father, who should be able to help us out with the boys, because otherwise I don't know how we can pack and move and pick stuff out for the renovation, etc. with them in tow! I guess we just don't like to do anything easy. But as I said, if all works out timing wise and mortgage wise and house selling wise and inpection wise, it will be a move up for us and a safer set up for the boys. With a family room! I've always wanted a family room for them. And they can each have their own bedroom now too.

Sharon, how exciting! You guys will be fine and Im sure the stars will align for you.

Well my troubles are already beginning. The perinatal clinic called and said that the doc office didnt send a complete file. Im not surprised, didnt I mention that I was never happy with those guys? Then she said that they dont even have an opening for 3 wks for my first appt. I told her I at least wanted to get in for a blood test and she said she would call me when she got my file because she cant do anything until then.

Can't your regular OB just send you for at least a blood test to confirm? That seems like it would be routine.....why would you have to wait for your file to go over to the perinatal office? Oh, I'm sorry....that sucks having to start such an exciting time off that way!!

WTH Andi!? I'm glad you're seeing the specialist, because you'll get more attention that way BUT the OB really needs to order your betas and progesterone now.

This OB is a tool. So is her staff. Plain and simple. I have now called their office 3 times today to fax my entire file over to the perinatal clinic. Once the perinatal clinic gets it they can set me up and order the labs.

Total blessing in disguise, I hope you can get the care you need from this new doctor. They need to get you in ASAP for those labs.

Same eye infection Just can't kick it, I am getting obsessive about changing my pillowcase, clean towels, hand washing, etc. No makeup around my eyes at all (sorry people who see me daily, haha). I don't understand why it just won't go away! Both my OB and eye doc agree my immune system is pretty ravaged. Caught a little cold last week but managed to kick that right away thank goodness.

We can be moving buddies Sharon! We actually just found our new home in ohio and are waiting on the next steps. It's 1500 sf bigger than the house we are in now including a fully finished basement. We already told our son his toys will all be down there. Lol moving is stressful, trust me, this will be my 8th new home in the last 12 years

Oh what a pita Andi! Hope it works out

We have Stella's 4 month well visit today and of course the dreaded shots. I'm anxious to see her weight, I know she's doing MUCH better

Andi - I love seeing a perinatologist! The staff is way friendlier than any OB's office, the actual office is very nice, complete with a tea/coffee/snack bar in the waiting room, and the equipment is awesome! They have large ultrasound rooms with flat screen TVs for you to watch the ultrasound. Then, in the rooms where you wait to talk to the doc, they have recliners. It's awesome! I wish I could exclusively see my peri, but he no longer delivers. I hope yours is just as great.

They actually agreed to move my anatomy scan up to next Friday, so we should get to find out the genders, but I won't actually know until May 25th at our gender reveal. My sister is also pregnant (we are one day apart), so we are going to do a joint gender reveal Memorial Day weekend. It's going to be so much fun!

sutton, twinsies and a cousin! woo woo!

andi, i agree with the others, the perinatologist will be such a blessing. you have my prayers on the sticky!

sharon, i can't believe he's already over 20 lbs! brooke was at 15.11 for her 6 mo appt on monday, and even then it was 3 wks past her real 6 month day. she's seriously 2 minutes from crawling. she's got the go, and she's got the motion, just doesn't have the arms/legs go-go to get going like a real crawler. and for all the frustration that i went through buying a new house and moving in 2 days before having B, we are so much happier in our new place. good luck with the paperwork!

I know, he's such a chunky monkey! I seriously want to take a bite out one of his legs.... Ethan is just like what you say, "2 minutes from crawling" too. I also attribute it all to his physical therapy. The physical therapist said, "sorry, but I think you may have an early crawler here". Thanks a lot, lady! Great....two mobile babies. He totally rocks back and forth, but then that motion usually makes him poop. So, he never gets a chance to get going because then it's off for a diaper change!

Thanks so much for the luck, we need all we can get. DH is at the inspection right now as I am typing this. It's pouring rain here too right now so I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing! It's supposed to take three hours. I should be hearing from him soon. I'm such a pessimist. I'm waiting to hear about the termites eating the house from the inside out.....

Yeahhhh.....!!!! Congratulations on finding the house and that is awesome about the fully finished basement! It will be so nice not to have to live around and "play tetris" around all the toys and other baby items. That is how we are living right now in our own living room in our current house! Yup, moving is one of the top 5 most stressful things on some scale my therapist told me about, can't remember the name of it. The scale also includes death, divorce, job loss and something else. Ugh!!

Andi-that is true, you will get lots more personal attention at your perinatal office....I saw one through most of both of my pregnancies and I'm so glad I did. It was a PIA at the time, all the extra ultrasounds and weekly non-stress tests, etc. But I was so glad I was followed so closely, especially towards the end with Ethan when they detected my water was so low and sent me straight to L&D and wouldn't even let me go home and collect my bag. There was another time he showed some decelerations on the non stress test and they sent me for an emergency ultrasound and thankfully all was well, but it was nice to know that for sure. They followed me like a hawk! I'm sure they also liked how much money they got from CIGNA as well, but I digress.....

wow, sorry for the multiple posts. My "reply to multiple posts" fu is not doing too well today, lol!

Anyway, that is totally awesome...having your sister due one day apart from you!! Do you guys live near each other too? I'm so jealous....I have one brother and I don't think that him and his wife are ever having kids. They only have furkids-cats. Don't get me wrong, I love cats myself. But i really wish my boys would have cousins. (DH is an only child.) Plus, my brother and SIL live down in North Carolina so we don't see them that often.

I've never even seen the "reply to multiple posts!"

Yeah, my sister and I are excited to be having them so close, but I think my mom is even more excited. She is looking forward to a house full of grandbabies. My sister already has a two year old son. We live about 3 hours from each other. I wish we lived in the same city, but at least she is currently in driving distance. Her husband is in the marines so they've been stationed much further before.

So I just found out my Dr's office will only let you go til 39 weeks. Pissed about it and debating finding another doctor. I would like to go into labor naturally.

That is usually for a repeat C-sect. Aren't you doing a VBAC? What is their process? Induction at 39 wks? I would be mad too.

Sutton - I think that is awesome that you and your sister are having babies so close! My sister's kids are grown, 14 and 8. She is 2 yr younger than me too but had them very early and I waited until I was 32 to get pregnant.

I went out and got a digi! I will test soon with SMU since that seems to work best for me.

Still no word from the perinatal clinic but I am glad you all have had good experiences. I dont mind the extra care and attention.

YAY ANDI!!!! Saying prayers for you. Sorry you are going through so many issues at your OB. Glad they are transferring your files.

Sutton- That is exciting... finding out the gender and all. I am hoping they can give me a guesstimate at my first trimester screening.

I would want to go into labor naturally as well. From what I've read, induction just leads to a cascade of other interventions, ultimately leading to c-section. If it were me, I'd search for another doctor.

I can't wait to see that "PREGNANT" digi that you'll be posting soon!

My sister is six years younger than me. She also got an early start on the baby making. I'm 29 and she's 23. It's definitely weird getting advice from my baby sister.

That would be awesome to get an early guess! I kinda' wish I would've at least asked at my NT scan. When is your first trimester screening and how many weeks will you be at that time?

I wish I could have gone into labor naturally with both boys. I was induced with both and still wound up having both vaginally. DS#1 was at 39 weeks because he was predicted to be 10 plus pounds if we waited till 40 weeks. Yeah....uh....he was 7 lb, 4 oz. DS #2 they let me go over my due date, but then sent me for induction #1 which failed and sent me home and then induction #2 started 2 days later right after my biophysical profile (ultrasound) showed that my fluid was low. They sent me right to L&D without letting me even go home to get my bags. I think I just wrote that upthread somehwere, don't mean to repeat myself. He was 8 lb, 7 oz. Also had him vaginally. In fact, he was out I believe even before the doctor got in the room. Once the doctor broke my water, there was no waiting for Ethan he arrived within 45 minutes and I think I pushed for about 2 minutes tops, lol!

I guess what I'm trying to point out is that I've had two inductions and neither of them turned into a c section. Yes, the pitocin and cervadil sucked, the epidural didn't work that well for DS#1 (who was also not very kind as to where he decided to lay his head as he was blocking the output line on my catheter.....) but I still didn't need a c section. So, while you always hear the negative stories on the birth boards about people going through inductions just to wind up with an emergency c section, I know plenty of people, me included, who have had sucessful inductions. Just giving another side.....

Just hopefully not for me at this moment in time. I've got my hands full with a soon to be 7 month old and an 18 month old!
