Oh sutton, they are little angels! Love all the hair too! Twins or singleton, those first few months are nothing but boob!

Alie - How did your GTT go? I have mine on Friday. My appt yesterday went well. Still only up 5lbs and baby is measuring about a week ahead which is normal for me. Im in the home stretch!

DD80 -

Alie - I had my test on Friday but haven't received the results yet, hoping to get some info today or tomorrow.

I am also wondering how the babies are doing. Sutton is likely getting into her groove and I want an update on Dominick! Ive been sending prayers and hope that lil guy is doing well.

guys! We are just TTC - think I got a bit too crazy this month, but I'm backing off the crazy pills. Again back to not trying not preventing again. I'm going to take temps though, but just to learn more about my body.

Me three on the Debbie and Dominick news!

Well I guess I am headed to the nutritionist. It's the exact same story as my last pregnancy. My numbers are borderline, less than 10 pts above the cutoff so I will have to follow the GD diet for the remainder of my pregnancy and check my BS. Doc said, no biggie, it will def be controlled by diet since I was so close. My last doc said that too and after my darn test I never once had a high reading! It is so frustrating but I can manage just like I did last time. Maybe I let those carbs at dinner get a little too out of hand. I guess I will be on top of it from here on out.

Sorry Andi, that sucks. I was the same way last time. I have been checking my fasting BS and it ranges from 86-106 so I bet I will be in the same boat.

Dominick is 12 days old. He has ups and downs, but generally he's doing very well except his lungs. That's to be expected since he's not supposed to be using them for a another few months. The NICU is a very scary roller coaster ride. I've had a mental breakdown or two, but we're going to get through this. I should have a picture to share later.

Anyone a size 18? I purchased 2 maternity t-shirts from cafepress and I won't be wearing them. One says, "I grow people, what's your super power?", and "baby loading, please wait". I'd be happy to donate them to someone who can use them. They are a 2x, size 18. They were too small on me and I'm a 22/24.

Well, it appears a big negative again this month.

I am so glad my doctor really took it seriously, and instantly came up with a plan.

However, DH and I have had a few very long, very serious, talks. We are ready to "take a break". We have been focused on a baby in one way or another for over a year and a half. We both feel like we need to take a step back, refocus on us, and then try again after a while. I'm not going to go back on the pill or anything, but we will be being careful. It has been too much, and I feel like I need some time to focus on me and us, rather than constantly focusing on trying for a baby.

I'm weirdly not sad at all at the prospect of not trying for a while. I truly feel like this is something we need. I wouldn't have been sad/upset if it had happened this month at all! But, I need some breathing room.

I'm going to call and cancel my dr appointment later this week, when I for sure start. I tested today (due today), and got negative. I will leave the same message for my doctor that we really appreciate it, but have decided to step back instead of rushing full force ahead for a while anyway.

Thank you everyone for all your support! I hope you don't mind if I check in occasionally still.

Debbie - Thx for the update! Sending lots of love to you and Dominick.

Potaty - I am mostly just bummed about the extra appts.

Suzie - that sounds like a great plan.

Alie - My doc doesnt do the old 1hr and 3 hr testing anymore. They do a one time 2 hr test. Its more comprehensive and accurate supposedly.

Awwww, Debbie! I know, I know- he was early, but he's so tiny! I'm happy to hear he's doing well overall. Hang in there.

Suzie- Sorry you got another BFN. I completely understand about taking a break. We did at the end of last summer. It all got to be too much. I was sick of temping and testing constantly, and the "we have to do it tonight, I'm ovulating" got old real quick! It takes all the fun out of it. Focus on just being a couple again, it will do wonders for you. Please do check in with us.

Andi- Sorry you'll have to test your CBG. Ugh. I hope you're able to get your numbers down some!

I'm 7 DPO, so right in the middle of my 2WW. UGH.

Thank you ladies so much for the support! There is a bit more to it too, coming from convos with my husband. He seems to be waivering on wanting another. Thinks it is a sign that it hasn't happened, etc. However, keeps telling me that he is willing to try.

Having my own child is a deal breaker for me, as we talked about on our first date. I would truly understand if he has changed his mind after losing Connor. But I think this is something we need I figure out not just push through and keep trying. Like I said we need some time to be "us" and figure things out.

Thank you so much for all your kind words and support.

I am 26 weeks and I think my little guy is going through a growth spurt. My stomach is huge and I've been starving!!! Like seriously, the amount of food I've eaten in the last week is embarrassing lol

Suzie, I admire your courage to deal with this issue head-on. My DH and I also talked about our desire to start a family very early on in our dating. It was also a deal breaker for me if he didn't want children. I can understand why your husband would be hesitant to try again after Connor. I can't imagine how hard it would be to push those fears aside and jump right in again. Again, I'm so sorry this happened to you. It just breaks my heart thinking about it. You've do so well dealing with your loss. You're obviously a strong woman, you'll get through this!

Debbie, he's precious! I hope he's growing and maturing well.

Andi, that sucks you have to see a nutritionist. I'll be interested to see what she tells you to eat. "Healthy" whole grains?

I need to reign my eating in a bit. I'm just so freakin' hungry! I really want to cut carbs down to around 50g a day, but I'm scared of my milk supply decreasing. Maybe I should slowly cut carbs and keep an eye on my supply.

Some of you are on my FB and have already heard the updates about baby Rose.
She is now 7 months old. We found out on Tuesday of last week that the MRI showed she is missing part of her brain. It is the Genu of the corpus collusum. Our Neuro didn't explain anything, but from what we've read, people can live their whole lives missing the entire CC and not even know it. They just tend to become socially awkward and fall behind a bit around puberty. But they USUALLY live long healthy NORMAL lives.
They don't usually have the delays that Rose has. She still isn't rolling, holding toys, or much of anything. She will occasionally focus on someone or something, but not often.
The Neuro sent her for blood work to check her chromosomes and find out if this is genetic. He said if it was we probably should think about rather or not we want to have more kids.

As of now Rose is a client of our states Regional Program and will be getting PT and OT hopefully starting this week or next.
We won't know the results of the blood work until the middle of December.
