Everyone!

Lori ~ I'm praying for you and your family. Please keep us posted.

Our first goal of 24 weeks was reached yesterday. I need to visit the hospital today and tomorrow for steroid injections to mature his lungs in case he comes in the next two weeks. Friday I had an ultrasound and the stitch is holding up nicely. The doctor did warn me that can change anytime, but I think we're good for a while. Now I just need him to stop kicking my cervix. Ouch!

Debbie - So glad to hear that the stitch is holding up and everything looks good! Praying that baby can bake into the 30+ weeks!

Nothing much to report here. I am 26 wks today, almost into the 3rd tri! I have gained 5 lbs but I am cool with that. My eating is ok. I have been having a big salad for lunch every day so I am a little more flex with the carbs for dinner. Breakfast is a toss up! DS has been mentioning the baby every once in a while. He still refers to it as the baby dinosaur but he pats my belly and even gave it a kiss the other day. He has also pinched and slapped it though so . Anyway, this should be interesting.

Our doctor appointment was today.

I still really like my doctor.

He is going to run blood work on me. He wants us to use ovulation tests the next cycle. He wants to make sure, more than anything, that they don't stay negative or positive the whole cycle. He wants to see me back in 6-8 weeks. If we haven't conceived by then he will run a different test that is a type of xray that will make sure my fallopian tubes are open. He said we would also talk about clomid at that point.

He told me most importantly to not beat myself up and to try to not stress.

He said he normally wouldn't start anything at all until after a year, but with our history he is going to bump that timeline up.

I think that is everything.

Debbie~that is great news! Grow, baby, grow!

Suzie~I'm glad your doctor listened to you. For what it's worth, I struggled with infertility with #1 and as soon as I had the HSG (the xray/dye test) done, I got pregnant. It didn't show a blockage but my doctor said it can kind of "clear the cobwebs" and your fertility can increase for 3 months after. I was also on Clomid, but I haven't had a problem conceiving since so I believe the HSG was what fixed me.

That is what he wants the next step to be. I am still so overly happy with him. He also ran through the plan for once I do get pregnant with me again. He wants us to go see a genetics specialist once pregnant too as a precaution. Along with everything else I mentioned before.

He just was very understanding and kind, while instantly coming up with a plan. I couldn't be happier with how the appointment went. I felt more relaxed last night than I have for a long time, and fell asleep early and slept all night! For the first time in a long time.

Looks like lots of good news in here!

Sutton- I hope the babies passed their test and are coming home soon!

Debbie- glad you and baby are still doing well. Praying he stays in there for another month or more!

Suzie- glad your appt went well. Sounds very encouraging. I have also heard of people getting pregnant after the HSG procedure.

Nothing exciting here. 24 weeks already and just trucking along. I have my glucose test this Monday so I'm a little nervous about that. Other than that, things are great!

Thanks I'm trying to stay pretty low carb this week.

I have to find a pediatrician and register with the hospital in the next month. I also need to go to the doula open house and we start our labor classes in a month. Yikes!!!

Alie - Wow, they are doing your GTT early. I had mine at 28 wks last time and will again this time. Mine is next week, probably Thursday!

**I just googled and apparently you can do it anytime after 24wks.

Yeah they are doing it early. No clue why! They want to do another ultrasound to measure him so they are just doing it all in one appt. I think I've lost count of how many ultrasounds I've had

Have they said why they are doing so many ultrasounds? I understand having them until his heart checked out okay, but it seems like maybe they are just padding their pockets if there aren't any concerns they are checking.

I am dreading my GTT, I had GD last time and expect to have it again but really, really hate that test. I wish it was done with real food instead of the glucola drink, I know some midwives will have their patients do it with real food; I might have to ask about that this time.

DD80 - It has been quiet around here lately. I wish I had today off too but no such luck. I have a doc appt tomorrow and then again on Friday for my GTT so at least I get to work from home 2 days this week.

I am 27 wks today, officially into the 3rd tri!

Our son Dominick was born on Friday, October 11th at 12:09PM. He was 1lb 11oz. I was just shy of 25 weeks. The doctors suspect an infection caused the preterm labor that they could not stop.

He's doing surprising well, but has a long road ahead in the NICU. We're taking it one day at a time, but I know my little boy will make it. He's feisty and has a strong spirit just like his mommy.

Congratulations Debbie! I'm praying for you and baby Dominick. I love the name! NICUs can do amazing things today and I'm sure him making it the first few days were crucial. I know it is a long road ahead but every day that passes the odds are in his favor.

How are YOU doing???

Congrats on the 3rd trimester, Andi!

I am off today too. I had an appt this morning for my GTT and a measuring sonogram. Baby boy looks great and everything else looks good. Just waiting the results of my test this week.

((((Debbie)))) Congrats on your baby boy! His Mama is a fighter so I am sure he is too. I had a cousin deliver her baby at 22 or 24 wks (cant remember) he was the size of a dollar bill when he was born and just turned 6 last July. They can do amazing things these days. Sending lots of love and prayers for Dominick.

Alie - Keep us posted on your GTT results. Glad baby is looking good!

Wow, just catching up during a pumping session.

Debbie - I will be praying for baby Dominick. I'm sure he is in great hands. Having a baby in the NICU can be very emotionally challenging, so don't hesitate to reach out. Stay strong and take care of yourself. Hugs.

Our boys are 3 weeks old and it's been great having them home. I kid you not, between breastfeeding and pumping, I spend almost half of a 24 hour period with something attached to my breast. Of course, it's all worth it!

I'm going to try to keep up with y'all now that we're getting into the swing of things.
