Rose was a week late and was 8 pound 7oz, if she had been on time, she would have been even closer to 8 pounds. I was surprised how close they were!
So they were okay with letting you go into labor on your own? I am worried they are going to want to induce me if she is big, and I really wanted as few medical interventions as possible.

I was feeling great and healing up really well from my shingles! I came down with a bit of a cold and my eye infection came back, I think my immune system is just completely shot. Not sure if I mentioned it before but I had pink eye the week before I got shingles, cleared it up, came back when I got shingles, cleared it up again, and now it's back for round 3. So irritating! The only thing that helps is the antibiotic drops (it's bacterial) but I hate using them so much while pregnant. But what are you gonna do, I can't let this pink eye run rampant. I feel like everyone must think I have the worst hygiene ever, who gets pink eye this often!?

?
Yes, however because of the GD they'd only let me go to 41 weeks. If I hadn't gone into labor by Monday they would have sent me to the hospital for induction. Not because of size though, just because of complications of GD. So the friday before they "helped" me along. Inserted a catheter into my cervix, then satuday I went for accupuncture, 4 hours later my water broke.

Since the baby was measuring so normal there was no need to be concerned about size. And her head was measuring small! Which was great since I wasn't getting an epidural!

I hope they let me do something like that if I need induced, I do NOT want pitocin.

I'm 33 weeks today!

There are so many other options besides pitocin! I'd say avoid it at all cost!

Well, I'm feeling really proud of myself. I've gotten back to walking, have given up soda, and have been snacking less. I've been eating "healthier", not necessarily dieting. I'm down 8 lbs since my check up on April 15, so about two weeks ago. That totals about 18 lbs down since March 7, when I had Connor.

I'm easing off the Zoloft this week. I have to start taking it every other day this week, then next week I just take it twice in the week. This will allow my body to adjust to not having it. I also haven't used a sleeping pill in about three nights. It really feels good to start to get back to "normal".

I just really want to focus on losing some weight and being healthier before we try again late this summer. It is really feeling good, giving me more energy during the day, and helping me sleep better at night.

My best friend found out she is having a little boy. I had a rough night after hearing the news, but am so ecstatic for her and can't wait to snuggle her little boy in October.

Those sound like great changes! Good job! Every small change you make, adds to the bigger ones!
I believe James is down to one nap a day! I love it. I am sure he will have a day or two when he still logs in two, but I think he is ready for one. It makes life so much easier for doing things.

Suzie, you are doing well, I am so happy to hear it! Congrats on the weight loss and healthy changes.

suzanne - when DS went down to one nap it helped tremendously but it ended up being a 2 or 3 hr nap right smack in the middle of the day. It didnt help much with planning our day in the end. He is still napping at 27 mo old but only about an hr and a half now and a couple of times he has skipped it completely. Not sure I am ready for that!

Kyle (3 and a half) naps mid day too. About 1:30-3:30. Stella is at 3 times a day still. She takes a long nap at the same time as Kyle but about 30-hour in the morning and evening.

She's getting better at night. I had a 6 hour stretch a few nights ago, then a 7 hour stretch and last night 5 hours. Hoping this trend continues.

Hello ladies! Just checking in. I'm 13 weeks, 4 days today and just got the first stranger asking when I was due. Yay, I look prego, instead of bloated!

So, I am a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding in less than a month, and of course, my size 6 dress, which I ordered long before I was pregnant, no longer fits. I can't get it to zip up past the rib cage. The only other sizes they have available are an 8 or a 16, so I've ordered the 8 and am keeping fingers crossed that it fits in 3 weeks. I seriously feel like I'm growing by the minute!

I've started a Paleo challenge in an attempt to quell any bloating or water retention, which dairy seems to do to me. So, from now until the wedding I will be strict Paleo (no grains, legumes, dairy, or sugar). Of course, I will not limit calories at all. I will focus on grass-fed meat, eggs, fibrous veggies, and fat.

Suzie - I had to go back through the thread to figure out your story, and I am very sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine. You seem like a very strong woman and I hope you have your bundle of joy very soon.

Well, I still have no sign of my period. But I'm not due until 05/01. If I dont start spotting tomorrow (which I usually do) I am going to buy a test at the store after work tomorrow and will test Wednesday morning. I did spot a little bit of brown (sorry TMI) a few days ago and nothing since. Hoping that meant it was implantation bleeding, but we shall see. My issue is right now I dont feel very pregnant, and when I was pregnant before I miscarried both times I felt it by now. but I know everyone is different so that doesnt mean I'm not.

Victoria, I am still holding out hope for you! You can get pregnancy tests at the dollar store so dont let that hold you back. /enabler. No 2 pregnancies are alike and with my successful one I didnt feel any symptoms. Keep us posted!

So sorry Victoria. I know the bummer of a BFN all to well. Keep focusing on YOU, you are doing an amazing job! All the other pieces will fall into place in due time.

I hope so Andi. I just went to bed and had a good cry. I know it's better if I were to be at a smaller weight but after both miscarriages and no baby yet sometimes I wonder if it will ever happen for me. If losing weight doesn't help I'm going to see a specialist, I think.

I'm sorry for the BFN! It might take your body a few days to register the hcg levels, so I'd try another stick in a few days if you still haven't started your period. Don't give up, just keep plugging away at getting your body healthy and it will come. I've been in the same boat as you with 2 mc's and thought it wasn't ever going to happen for me.

Awe, VictoriaLynn, sorry about the BFN. I had a miscarriage in May 2011, a second in June 2012, and am now pregnant with twins. My doc joked that I was making up for lost time. You'll get your sticky bean one day. And way to be positive about the BFN . . . another month to focus on your weight loss.

Thanks ladies! I've started a blog as well. I need an outlet and hobby. I think this will give me both. I'm not sure how interesting it will be or how long I will keep up with it, but I'm enjoying it right now.

I noticed I was bleeding a bit last night when I got out of the shower, nothing too substantial, maybe a bit like the last day of my period? Very very light. I kept an eye on it overnight and nothing more. We'd had sex the night before but I didn't bleed at all right after or through the next day, which is why I took note of it at all. I'll mention it to my doctor but I'm guessing it's just a little irritation. She is moving around like a wild woman in there so I'm pretty sure she's fine.

I take all measurements of babies from about 12 weeks on with a grain of salt. They just get less and less accurate from there

Suzie, thank you for the update! I'm praying for your physical and emotional recovery

Lori - we keep Holly up with things like tummy time and baby wearing, but honestly there are lots of catnaps around here, too. I do make a point to wake her if she's sleeping too long of a stretch during the daytime, as my experience with the older kids indicated that they get on a schedule better with defined nap times and wake times. Still, Holly sleeps a lot throughout the day as well and the evenings involve about two hours of me hanging out in our room, popping pacifiers back in. It gets worse and worse until about six weeks and then like magic my kids seems to sleep/wake much more predictably. Holly sounds like a slightly easier sleeper than baby Rose (she's usually down for a good stretch by 9:30, and we start the nighttime routine at 7 pm) but I'd expect it to only improve for you two in the next few weeks.

Not much news here since the nasty hospital stay/norovirus nonsense last week. Holly looked great at her checkup and is gaining very well, even with me eating at a calorie deficit and quite low carb (25-30 net and 1950 calories, thought many days I've been coming in the 1800 range instead). No milk production issues - she is the FIRST infant I've nursed where that is the case, and she even has a terrible latch. But with all those issues we're still gaining above the desired target and she's turning into quite the cute chubster.

As for me - postpartum exercise is still halted, at my appointment on Tuesday the practitioner said that I needed another week of rest since a walk the day before had started up red bleeding agin (boo!). I feel absolutely awesome and it has been my easiest recovery of all four kids, but apparently my innards still need a bit more time. So next Monday I'm back on the TTAP wagon and that will be that.

With diet things are going much better. The aforementioned carbs and calories are coupled with me hanging out still at rung 4 of Atkins, and now that the awful bloat from being sick is gone I've moved from 178 after the hospital and 174 last week, to 168.4 today! Wahoo! Prepregnancy, in the middle of my hCG round, was 163.6, so I'm within spitting distance. My original goal was 160-165 (my high school weight and lightest weight I've been since childhood) but I moved the goalposts to somewhere between 130-140. If it weren't for moving the bar downward I'd be done! But I know I can and should lose more, since I still have quite a bit of fat and am not the shape I want to be. It looks imminently achievable, we'll just see how much time that goal will take
