I broke down and bought a bunch of comfy skirts and yoga pants. I just can't wear anything with a zipper anymore. Luckily I am off all summer so I don't have to look nice

I really wish I knew what was going on with baby. I don't have my appt until July 1. So another week of wondering.

Stargirl - I've been living in flowy dresses and yoga pants for a while now. I haven't even had to buy actual maternity clothes yet, as I've been able to make do with looser fitting or stretchy regular clothes. I'm almost 22 weeks, so now I almost feel like it's a challenge to see how long I can go. I couldn't imagine waiting that long for your appointment without knowing what is going on. Hopefully the next week will not drag out too long. Hang in there.

We get to see our bambinos on Wednesday! We haven't seem them in 6 weeks, so I imagine they have grown and changed a lot since then. I can't wait!

Lori - It's just a phase and will pass. Hang in there! I'm sure you are doing all you can. My advice would be to just continue taking her so that she gets used to it, do you have a hanging toy to hang in the car or from her car seat handle? Just remember, it is fine to let her cry. She is safe and comfy, she will get the hang of it.

Tell me about it sister! I have no freaking clue what is going on and my u/s isnt until 7/3. I'm a wreck!

11 wks today! So happy that I made it through the point of miscarry last time, at least by a few days. Hoping and praying that this little bean is growing and healthy.

Ugh yes! You win I guess my biggest fear is finding out I had a missed misscarriage. Like I will be 10 weeks at my appt but they'll find out the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks of something

Trying to stay positive though.

Trust me, I know. That is what happened to me last time. I went in at 10w5d and found out that the baby stopped growing at 6w3d. In hindsight, I was glad that my ultrasound was so late. It was supposed to be at 8 wks but the clinic was totally booked and then my doc forgot to file my authorization. Since it was so late, I was able to miscarry naturally since I had started bleeding on the morning of the u/s. Had I known earlier, I may not have wanted to wait for it to begin.

Anyway, I hated that doc so went with a new one this time but he doesnt do dating u/s so I requested the NT and DH and I chose to wait patiently. It's been hard though! Lot's of fear and anxiety but I can make it another 10 days.

Well it wasn't totally obvious until I looked back on it but, yes. I didnt feel pregnant anymore. It's hard for me because I dont get morning sickness. It's the other signs that I need to pay more attention to, sore boobs, cramping (RLP), dizziness, etc. Anyway, I still have all of those symptoms now so I am hoping this is the one. The dizziness is related to hunger. I get it mostly in the morning after having not eaten all night, or if I go too long without food.

Hello everyone. Wanted to stop in and say hello. We are all settled into our new home and for the most part unpacked. We love it here so far!

Baby Stella is doing great. She is starting on baby food as I make it. She eats oats and brown rice, bananas, apples, avocado, squash, sweet potato and peas
She is also moving all over and up on her knees. I predict her crawling in a few weeks. She'll be 6 months on the 5th

I'm going to go read back to see how everyone is doing

Sutton- I'm so excited for you to see the babies tomorrow! Can't wait to see pics.

DP- glad Stella is doing well! Time sure flies.

I am 9 weeks today! I've really been suffering from insomnia lately. I can't fall asleep until like 1am. It sucks.

peas are a complete horror to my child. it's funny how quick her reaction to peas is. we've tried peas and green beans, peas and carrots, mixed veggies with peas, spinach and carrots... i guess peas aren't her thing.

Brooke's cousin has the chicken pox, she's 8 months. So far B isn't showing any signs and she spent last mon/tues/wed with her at daycare, so we'll see. My dr won't vax her until she's a year old. I know either way she'll be fine, but I'd rather she didn't get them.

andi, can't wait for your U/S!

I had my little girl, Sylvia Alison, last Wednesday. I had to have an emergency c-section, as she was breech. I was crushed, since last year I delivered in less than 2 hours of being at the hospital. I choose to go natural without any meds, epidural, IV's, etc and I planned on doing the same this time.

God had other plans though. Our beautiful little girl is healthy and happy. She weighed 6lbs and 12 oz.

I wish I knew how to post pics!

We now have 2 girls and they are 11 months apart! Our family is complete.

Yeah, chicken pox are kind of a right of passage for a kid, but not at such a young age. That would be horrible. I hope she doesn't get them.

That is awesome! I bet it's fun to watch her trying new things. Glad you're getting settled in your new home.

Andi and Stargirl - I pray that you both have healthy babies coming your way in 7-8 months.

To chime in on the missed miscarriage conversation, I had one last summer (June 2013). We had a strong heartbeat at 8 weeks, at 11 weeks the heartbeat was still fine (145BPM), but the baby only measured 9 weeks. Then, when I went in at 12 weeks, there was no heartbeat and baby measured 8.5 weeks. I was devastated. I waited for it to pass naturally, which took almost 4 weeks from the time we found out.

As for loss of symptoms, I didn't have many to begin with, and I didn't really notice it at the time, but looking back did notice that my energy levels went back to normal around that time, and I felt thin again (no bloating or water retention). I never experienced nausea, food aversions or sore breasts with that pregnancy, but also didn't have much of these symptoms during this pregnancy either.

But I really hope all of this talk of missed miscarriage is for naught. I'll be counting down the days with y'all. (5 and 7)

OMGosh Laura, that absolutely melts my heart!

So guess what? I just got back from my OB appt and I got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler!!!!!!! I am flipping over the moon, so happy and relieved. I only wish DH had been there. My last doc wouldnt even attempt the doppler on anyone until 14 wks. This doc said he always tries if you are past 10 wks but he cant always hear something. WE DID!

I am 11 wks 2 days.

Thanks!

I called DH when I got home and he goes "Oh man, you were playing with fire there!" It didnt occur to me that I would have absolutely freaked if we couldnt hear anything and then I had to wait a week for the ultrasound. Now I am so glad that it worked out.

Andi I'm so excited for you! I know you're relieved. Man how we worry, huh?

AFM I'm 9 weeks 3 days today. My ultrasound last week showed a healthy baby with a strong heartbeat of 178bpm. My last ultrasound with the fertility specialist is on Monday (7/1), then I'm being graduated to my OB. "Baby Macaroni", as we've affectionately began calling the baby (due to the pasta cravings), is kicking my hide. I actually took two days off work because I'm so tired and nauseous all the time. In theory I should only have a few more weeks of this.

I really need to clean up my diet. Meat makes me sick, so I’m eating a ton of carbs. I’m too tired to cook and shop, so we eat out a lot. This really needs to stop. I wish Suzanne would come in here and yell at me - cause I need it.

LOL Carlini, I hear ya on the diet. It is so hard the first tri. I can eat meat if I bury it but I cant stand cooking it or the smell of raw meat. Tonight Dh is grilling chicken and we are making BBQ chicken salads.

So exciting that we are 2 wks apart. I think you are right there with stargirl!

So happy for you!!!

First, congrats a healthy bean with a strong heartbeat!

Haha, do you want me to yell at you? It's not really my style, but I'd be happy to do it. Get your act together woman! This is for the health of your unborn child! Do you think babies are made out of pasta? No, they're made out of fat and protein! But all chastising aside, everyone here knows how tuff that first trimester is. Do what you can, but try not to go too far off the deep end. I had more carbs in the first trimester than usual, but I kept it clean (fruit, potatoes, white rice, no gluten). It'll be over with before you know it and you'll you be back to your healthy ways.

I've affectionately nicknamed my twins Ancho and Bacon (instead of boring old A and B). It's fitting because today we found out that Bacon is the "chubby" one.

So, yeah, the appointment with the peri went great. The babies are right on target. Ancho weighs about 1lb and Bacon weighs about 1lb 3oz. Ancho is average on the growth charts, and Bacon is above average. I got some good profile pics, which I'll try to get posted later.

Yea Andi I can eat meat if it’s fried or covered in gravy or something.

Thanks for the swift kick Sutton. Babies definitely are not made from pasta. DH gets on my back about it too. There is more background to my story that Andi knows - but in the beginning of this pregnancy my HCG levels were low and the first 3 draws did not double. The doctor gave us a less than 5% chance of a healthy baby. She was quite shocked by the first heartbeat, then the second. Now my specialist is way more optimistic. But the stress of another miscarriage looming over my head (I’ve already had two), plus hormones, and food aversions, all came together to do me in. Hence, the continued bad choices. I did paleo for several months before I got pregnant, and I know better. I need to clean it up.

Ancho and Bacon ~ I love it! Can’t wait to see pics.

Purrgirl: Congrats!!! She's absolutely perfect

Sutton: so glad the babes are doing well!!! Love the nicknames

Debbie: Congrats!!! The ultrasound sounds very reassuring!!!! Once you see a good heartbeat the chances of losing the baby is very low!

Ugh I feel so nauseous and dizzy today. I'm supposed to go to yoga in an hour but I'm not really feelin it.

I am here, ready to yell at you! Lol
I totally understand how hard it is to stay healthy during pregnancy. I wish I could have had a coke and pancakes for every meal during my pregnancy.
Remember your baby and their future health. If you eat sugar, it will ncrease the chances of having the same problems we have.
I ate a lot of low carb junk food like sausages and deli meat, plus extra cheese. But, it was all better than the candy I really wanted!

I'd say Stella is officially crawling! Up on all 4s taking a "step" or 2 at a time. She's a fast fast learner!! Don't know if I'm ready for this. She is into EVERYTHING! Totally opposite of my son.
