Induction and Partial Breastfeeding?
I am finally starting to wean my baby. We are slowly removing one feeding at a time and replacing it with a meal. He is 11 months. So he gets three nursing sessions per day and the rest of his nourishment is from solid foods and a little regular whole milk (approved by doctor).
Do you think it would be safe to start the Induction phase of Atkins? I am sooooooooooo ready to be done with this weight. I tried intermittent fasting but I just couldn't stick it out. |
Absolutely! At 11 mo, he is probably getting most of his nutrients from food. You will still be able to nurse as needed but if you are starting the weaning process now anyway, I see no reason to hold off on induction.

I nursed both of my little ones till 3 1/2 doing low carb a lot of that time. When my first was an infant, I was very low carb until he was around nine months old. I do think that losing a lot of weight rapidly could be an issue in terms of what sorts of toxins you're liberating when you're burning that fat, but I don't see any other issues of concern.
