Finally!
Decided to follow through with getting the tests done for an Ablation. My periods have gone from 5 days, to 7 and now 10 to 12 days long. Heavy "crime scene" periods that are so painful and draining. Today I went for my biopsy, I could have done all this years ago but was really a big chicken. The biopsy scared me the most. It hurt but was not as bad as I thought it would be. Tomorrow is my ultra sound then pre-op meeting on the 16th of this month. After that we schedule surgery. This year is my year to take care of myself!

Good luck if you decide to have the ablation.
Several of my friends have the procedure and said it's the best thing they've ever done. If I qualified, I'd do it in a heartbeat. So tired of heavy cycles. ![]() |

Thanks I am definitely going to do it! just waiting on test results to schedule rest of the procedure. I am keeping my toes crossed all goes well so I can have it done. Would stink to go through biopsy (not fun lol) and then have them say no. I have a few friends also who have had it done, say it's best thing as well.

I had one a few years ago. My periods didn't stop entirely afterwards, but now they are barely there and usually only last 3 days total. I have my fingers crossed for you!

She is doing the ThermaChoice procedure, I am really hoping it helps. At this point any relief is better than living with these 7 to 12 day periods! |
