Thanks, Andi! That was one of his portraits too. The photographer asked if we'd be willing to try to get him to stand on his own and DH stood him up, jumped out of the picture real quick, the photographer snapped the pic at the perfect time and then he went BOOM on his bootie!

I have some major catching up to do here! Just wanted to say hi, offer some good luck to those TTC, hugs to those who need them, and a kick in the ass to those who need that

I know I need a little of the last two - Ben is making our lives easier as he continues to be an amazing baby, but yesterday, my husband discovered a puddle of water on top of our hot water heater, so now I'm working from home today and tomorrow for plumbers to come give estimates. We're looking at $1-2k, depending on what we choose to replace it with. Awesome.

Every Monday, I seem to be trying to start again diet-wise, and today is no exception. I baked over the weekend, so I have flourless peanut butter cookies on hand for junk cravings, flourless peanut butter bread for sandwiches, roasted pumpkin seeds measured out into individual servings in little plastic baggies, fresh veggies (pre-washed and packaged for micorwave steaming) lined up in my fridge by expiration date so I know which ones to use first, sliced strawberries and apples (apple slices in individual serving bags of 8 total grams of carbs per bag so I don't get carried away) in the fridge for snacking, measured out little plastic containers of almond butter to have with the apples (my rule is no carbs without also having fat and protein!), peeled hard boiled eggs...I can do this! I NEED to do this!!

I have been eating and eating all day long, just never full! I will have to hit the grocery store as I ate the extra two packs of steak I had in there as a snack. I even had to make James more eggs, I ate all of those too.

We weren't planning for it to happen so quickly. Basically I quit the pill at the end of June and was knocked up two weeks later! Husband and I are thrilled and freaking out, which I guess is normal.
I've been staying pretty LC, but reasonable. I've been having fruit, nuts and cheese for snacks. I keep reading that LC keeps you from having morning sickness, and so far, so good.
WOOOOO!!!

WOOHOO! Congrats! How exciting! I went off my pill in April and didn't get pregnant til almost July, glad it happened much quicker for you!

I hope LC helps you with the Morning sickness!

TOM should be here any minute. I can feel it and Im up 5lbs because of it. My LP seems to be bouncing between 12-14 days which is sort of unusual but not unheard of. I cant say Im surprised, I think it has been getting longer since I weaned DS from nursing back in March.

Hanging in there........

Menu for today:

B - coffee w/ cream, widget's zucchini bread w/ cream cheese
L - forgot my lunch so will hit up the salad bar at the deli
D - grilled chicken leg quarters, spinach and goat cheese salad

Have a great day!

My baby had the hiccups during the ultrasound. It's neat! My sin had them a lot later in my pregnancy.

Glad your dh got to come back early!

My family leaves tomorrow. It's going to be a long 6-7 weeks waiting for dh to come back.

Good morning, ladies. Baby boy is still tranverse, he has until next week to go vertex, then they want to schedule a version. Ugh. I will be 36 weeks when I meet with the OB (on 9/11) to discuss the procedure and I assume will have to make a decision in fairly short order after that.

I have the worst cold, Brandon got it first (I assume from daycare) and he was down and out for a couple of days. Now I have it, and it is kicking my butt. I'm only here at work today because we have an auditor coming in from the state. Otherwise, I would love to be at home in bed with a bunch of tissues attached to my nose.

Sorry you aren't feeling well Sharon

My little girl is already head down and VERY low.

Had to say goodbye to my mom this morning. I'm really sad. I hate being so far from everyone and being so alone here. I hope the next month and a half goes super fast..thou with nothing to look forward to I have a feeling time is going to drag

Sharon - Hope you feel better soon! Are you going to go through with the version? I would skip it and just see if he flips on his own and if not, schedule a c-sect. BUT, that is me! Espcially after Suzanne's experience.

DP - I always say I would be broke if DS was a girl! I hope the time goes by fast for you.

Menu for the day:

B - coffee w/ cream, eggs scrambled in butter
L - leftover grilled chicken, cuke slices
S - roasted pumpkin seeds, diet coke
D - chicken fajitas topped w/ sour cream & guacamole

Have a great day!

Trying to turn a baby is not fun, but it will most likely send you into labour. I must admit, I was totally over being pregnant and my secret wish was to go into labour. I knew one thing, I did not want a c-section. I hate surgery. I was worried about bonding with the baby since you cannot hold them right away too.
I ended up with a section and it really was fine. It was actually an easier recovery than a regular birth.

Awww, why cant you? I asked my doctor about it when I was pg and she said a hot bath was fine but a hot tub was not. She said just dont let yourself get overheated and you are fine. Have you asked your doc? I never had problems with it.

I hate waking up feeling sick! I dread days like this. And of course my son was up about an hour earlier than normal. I'm getting tired of this pregnant, full time work, single mom, alone stuff

I live in an apartment and am 250 pounds, trying to soak in my tiny tub would be more uncomfortable then helpful. My muscles, back and joints are achy, I've been trying to see if I have any friends I'm close enough to that have a big roman tub I could borrow for an hour! LOL. I have several hot tubs available, but I know that's a no no.

Anyone have plans for the holiday weekend? Right now we're slated to stay home and relax. I'm so excited for that! Plus O is coming, so I'm sure we can find something to occupy our time!

B ~ Egg salad, left over polish hot dog
L ~ Chicken alfredo, cauli rice, cucumbers
S ~ Cottage cheese
D ~ Baked salmon, salad

There is a big festival in our town this weekend and they have all kinds of meat and cheese. I always get the super thick bacon on the bbq. Plus, my son has hockey practice all weekend.
I just made some paleo bread and am curious if Andrew will like it. I hope so.

Baby girl weighs 4lb 6oz and is happily content to be back to sitting breech again. Sigh. She was a wild child for the NST and then napping for the ultrasound. We saw her yawn

Well, i never heard back from the doc about the bloodwork, so i'm guessing that everything looks healthy! Two more days, and i'll be in the magical 12th week "safe zone."

No plans here this weekend. Had to cancel a trip to see my BFF because we had to pay to fix the A/C unit in the house we own

Going to be hot so perhaps one last trip to the beach and pool.

I'm having a very hard pregnancy day..headache, cramps, moody, tired

My parents are coming into town and we are going to the Yankees game on Saturday. DH got his CEO's tickets and we will be right behind home plate. Very excited! Now, if I could just shake this cough....I had a low grade fever at the doctor today too.

Andi-I don't know yet if I'm going to try to do the version or not....that's why I'm going to see the doctor at my OB practice that has the most experience with them so I can discuss. Suzanne's experience makes me pause too.

Suzanne-when you had the version done, was it painful at all? I've heard people use the word "uncomfortable", but I don't have a high threshold for pain.

It was painful, but not horrible. Nothing compared to labour. In labour I am screaming, for this I was just biting down hard.
