She is so precious, and love all that hair! Only twice a night is pretty good for a baby that young, right? Seems good to me!

What about an organic lunch meat, like Applegate Farms. Maybe wrap it around some avocado. Also, I'll make some liver pate on the weekend and eat on it throughout the week with raw veggies, like zucchini, red bell pepper, etc.

Yeah I think so! She sleeps well all day, wakes to feed then goes back to bed. She usually has 2-3 "awake" periods a day and they usually last 1-4 hours a piece.

Awwwwww, Rose is too cute! Brooke is jealous of all that hair!

I have been getting better with my food choices - devilled eggs, hb eggs, nuts and cheese sticks are my go-to, and weaning myself off down to one soda a day // trying to drink more water. I'm down 4 lbs within a week and my jeans fit better so I know my body is thankful to stop stuffing it with junk. I made a really yummy salsa the other day that i've been gnawing on; it's store-prepped pico, a can of black beans and a can of fiesta corn... so good i just eat it by the spoonful.

and Suzanne would be happy to know that I threw some burgers on the foreman for my dinner tonight and tomorrow.

here's what Brooke thinks of sweet potatoes!

Ah, look at those cute babies! And Lori - the hair on Rose! Love it!

Suzanne I'm totally with you. It's so worth the time to make sure you have healthy food options to eat. I get tired of preparing meals, but I just keep reminding myself of how important it is to eat healthy - especially when ttc or pregnant. That’s what keeps me motivated.

No updates from me, but I've been working with the fertility specialist and I'm very hopeful.

It really is worth it. Just having hard boiled eggs in the fridge can help and they are easy to make. Cold chicken drumsticks are easy too. It takes a bit of planning, especially for you working moms! I am not sure how you all do it.

She doesn't have her days and nights mixed because she goes right back to sleep after she eats, or falls asleep eating.

We usually wake up and relax with my son, play, then she naps around 10 for an hour or so...we play, she naps for maybe an hour or 2, play some more and she takes about a 30 minute evening nap. We bath and bed. We run errands some mornings, some evenings we are out, etc...
She feeds on demand

Gahhh, Brooke is a dollface!

I, too am focusing on diet and have been cooking and prepping and planning. It's tough when you work full time and have an active 2 yr old but I have to be healthy for DS and for TTC.

DP - that age was a tough one for us because DS was already teething. He had his first tooth before 4 mo. The sleep patterns come and go and we never really got him down solid until about 10 mon. Then he was good until his 2 yr molars came in at 18 mo! This kid has had a mouth full of teeth ever since. DH and I both got our teeth early too so I wasnt surprised. Anyway, as long as you are feeding her often during the day and she is put down full and drowsy, she will get there. They grow so much in that first year that they just cant always make it through the night without eating. I know its exhausting!

My in laws have a heated pool and I'm a BIG fan of swimming. I want to take Rose in the pool soon. I asked the Ped and she said to wait til 4 months. Obviously we wouldn't put her head in the water and want to wait til her cord is done healing, but 4 months sounds a bit extreme to me. Anybody have any experience bringing their LO in the pool with them?

That seems odd to me too Lori? Maybe because of the chemicals in a pool?

Well I tried to stuff Stella last night and it didn't do much of anything. 5oz kept her for 3.5 hours and 4oz for 3. She was up again every about hour starting at 5:30am. I'm thinking I'm going to have to let her cry it out soon. I'm not ready for it though

I'm starting fresh today with my diet. I've been off for a week and I feel and look simply awful. Everyone says I have an excuse to be20 pounds over weight (15 over prepregnancy) but I don't see it that way. I have been running consistently now so I just have to match my diet. I'm going to do a strict few no carb days and get moving here. I can't keep waistline time

James is still napping. I am debating waking him up for playgroup. I will give him another ten minutes, I need adult interaction!

Good Afternoon All

Still kicking here. Carb intake has been MUCH better this week. And I am happy. Walking twice a day on breaks at work. And again in the evening with DD on some days.

Been cooking more and being more prepared. That is really helping me tons. Also trying to keep my cals down as well and been doing well with that.

Had an u/s a week ago. Baby is doing great. Measured at 7w +4 then which was off by a few days. Due date changed to November 20th. A little turkey. LOL

A little Scorpio too! My birthday is 11/21 so my birthday NEVER fell on Thanksgiving. Growing up, I had a friend who's birthday was 11/22 and sometimes her birthday would be on Thanksgiving and I remember being jealous of that!

Glad to hear baby is doing well!

Lori - our ped said we could take DS in the pool once his belly button was completely healed up. 4 mo seems extreme to me too.

I haven't even taken my soon to be 18 month into the pool yet....mainly because I don't want to be seen in a bathing suit. Isn't that awful? I'm robbing him of learning how to swim because I'm so freaking self conscious. I hate myself for that.

I try to ask DH to sign him up and take him to swimming lessons, but he doesn't think he needs to learn so early. I disagree.....but DH also had a really bad experience when he was a youngin'. Apparently, his parents just threw him into the ocean and told him to start swimming. He said he swallowed salt water and felt like he almost drowned. So, I can understand his apprehension. He says he has never forgiven them for that. He's 39 years old.

My mother basically did the same thing. she continually drunked me under the water. I still remember it, I was terrified. I have always hated water.
I took James in the pool at three months last summer. I also hate how I look in a bathing suit, but look around. No one really looks that great.

That's what I was thinking...the belly button. But she was talking about making sure she can hold her head up on her own first and being careful not to get water in her ears. (duh)

So excited! My work approved me to take an extra 6 weeks off! Now I just need to see if the state will pay me for the extra family leave bonding time. Even if they don't I'm still taking the time off! I feel so much better about going back to work when my baby is 3 months old instead of just 6 weeks old. So happy! I don't go back til July 1st!
