i feel like this week has brought another big surge of hormones since my symptoms have suddenly become much worse. i have a skin irritation that flares up from time to time. It flared up around my 4th week of pregnancy, and it's flaring up again now. i have the headaches, nipple soreness, and total loss of appetite all over again. I'm at 10 weeks, so this should all even out soon, right?

Just wanted to say hello. Hanging in. My mom comes Thursday and I have my ultrasound Friday. I'm getting nervous!
Amy- I'm 21 weeks and I still have symptoms on and off. Some days I'm fine and others I feel like I'm newly pregnant with morning sickness, food aversions, etc... |

Hi ladies!
Amy - I never had any symptoms so I cant say but I do hear time and time again that they tend to fade for the most part after the 1st tri. Hang in there! ![]() DP - Great to hear from you! Please keep us posted on that ultrasound!!!! ![]() I am hanging in there, waiting for AF to come, or not! I am still up 3 of the 8lbs I gained over O time. Like I said before, I eat too much over the weekends so hopefully it will go away this week now that I am back at work. Menu for the day: B - coffee w/ cream, choc pb protein shake S - 2 mini coconut flour muffins L - leftover steak sliced over romaine w/ ranch dressing D - not sure, we forgot to pull anything out. ![]()

Just checking in - had a BUSY weekend! Had a long but good day of shopping on Friday with my mother, sister, 2 nieces (ages 5 and 12), and Ben, then picked up my husband and had dinner at Friendly's. Saturday, we all went to a local animal park (essentially a petting zoo - goats, llamas, doneys, camels, emus, pigs, bunnies, tortoises, a couple different little primates, pony rides, birds...) and then hit a diner for some late lunch/early dinner. I had planned to cook dinner on Saturday evening, but everyone was starving after the animal park and didn't want to wait to get all the way home and cook. Now I have a giant bag of fresh green beans I'd planned on having for dinner that night that need to be cooked in the next couple days or else they'll go bad!
Happy Monday. I'm exhausted and need a weekend to recover from my weekend :P

we had a nurse's appt today and baby girl is sitting transverse now. i thought my belly looked lopsided, bigger on the right side, so that would be her head. my eating has been alllllll over the place, but not much movement on the scale. i'm surprised how winded i get now, up and down to do laundry, the stairs at the dr's office, picking up doggie doo... i mowed the lawn saturday and it felt like a marathon, i had to text hubby and tell him i'm done with the yardwork, he's gonna have to get his brothers to help me out from now on. i'm also starting to feel the BH contractions, last week's BH were up higher in my belly but yesterday's were down low like a period-cramp.
DP - good thoughts for Friday's U/S!!! Amy - my nips are starting to hurt again, so that doesn't go away.

James is in the 80% for height and weight now. Ped was suprised that he eats so well, but says if he wants it, it is fine.
Having a little trouble in the marriage, so we are working on that. |

![]() Andi ~ This MAY be the month!! I'm rooting for you! Do we have "rules" for our challenge?KQT ~ LOVE the 3D picture Glad she's changing position. I'm on the 3rd day of induction and I feel like ABSOLUTE CRAP!! One minute I'm , then . I cannot wait for the induction flu to be over!! I could not face the reality of how much I've gained. I weighed, but my DH will be tracking it for me. I couldn't look. But after so long of messing around, I'm finally back on the right track. I know this can only HELP us to get pregnant. I also ordered some vitamins for us to start taking. I'm not up to exercising yet but I'll get there soon.

We are working it out, getting better.
Hope you are all staying on plan. My ped wants to read Taubes's book when I told her how I feed James and then how I eat. |

It should ease up a bit in 2-4 weeks. I keep hearing around 12-14 weeks, for the aversions and appetite, but I don't think the headaches and nipple soreness go away....at all...... Hang in there! It will be worth it in the end! |

The boob pain went away for me both times....I think by around the second trimester. In fact, I remember with Brandon it went away suddenly...around 9 or 10 weeks actually. It went away so quickly (and believe me, it HUUUUURRRTTTT bad before!), that I called the doctor all worried that something was wrong with the baby. They gave me an ultrasound just to be sure, and all was fine with him
but it did scare me how I woke up one morning without it. Now when my milk came in with Brandon, that was a different story. I don't think it is possible to find a bra that big! It was so freaking awful and uncomfortable. Luckily, after a few days, they settled down, but it was downright scary how big and painfully swollen they got! ![]()

I could kill people who have no morning sickness, totally unfair!
Running out the door to take James for a walk, but just wanted to say that DH had a good talk and are doing much better today. That feels nice. |

I haven't had an ultrasound, or anything really. So far I've had a urine test to confirm pregnancy and a pelvic exam. The doc said i should have my first ultrasound at 18-20 weeks, so it'll still be a while before i even get to see/hear it.

Banana Bread Muffins w/pics
Here you go! I just happened to have 2 small blackened bananas in the freezer (thanks DS! ) so I made these into mini muffins for portion control. |

I don't know about where you live, but out here we have places you can go to get 3d ultrasounds on your own, if you don't want to wait. They cost anywhere from $20-60

I went to the doc yesterday, and they did another ultrasound. I kinda feel bad that I'm only 10 weeks and have had two and Amy you haven't gotten one yet.
![]() Last one the baby just looked like a blob! It was so neat this time to see the difference! The baby had arms and legs! Looked like a baby! So cute! I got a clean bill of health, my blood sugars were great! |

I'm glad everything looks healthy, Lori!
I don't get motion sick, so maybe you're right about that. An ultrasound would be cool, but I just want to know that everything is okay in there. I'd hate to find out 18-20 weeks in that it's ectopic or doesn't have a heartbeat or something. How else would they know? It seems like an eternity to wait another 10 weeks to have a little peace of mind. I haven't bought any baby stuff yet, and I probably won't until I can see with my eyes that it's actually in there and doing okay! |

Don't they take the heartbeat at your appointments? With the Doppler?

my doc didn't use the doppler until my 10w appt, but i had U/S at 6w & 7w, then 12w, then 14w for the nuchal tests, then 20w anatomy, then 22w anatomy/gender, then the two 3d/4d's at 28w and 30w and then i go for another U/S next week for another anatomy scan. being "high risk" at my doc means you get many more chances to see baby.
amy, for peace of mind i bought a fetal doppler online for $60 after i heard the HB at the doctor's office. it was a lifesaver IMO, much less worrying and all of us in the family thought it was well worth it. |
