Thanks I have heard that about baking soda before!
So exciting! Excited for you!

This baby is still tranverse (I will be 32 weeks tomorrow). I know he has a little bit of time left to move head down, but they are already talking doing a version. I remember Suzanne had a bad experience with that and went into labor during it and she had to have a c section right away. I have heard they are painful too? I had a vaginal delivery with Brandon, and this will probably be my last baby.....but I am not too excited about surgery either.
I'm a big believer of doing everything as naturally as possible. Having worked in the post partum unity for a few years, I'd do whatever neccessary to avoid a C section. (Not to say there aren't great and successful c sections, just that I've seen A LOT of them, good and bad). I worked in the hospital, yet want a midwife out of hospital birth if possible. Funny how that works!

Heartburn = hairy baby!

Milk worked for me. Tums never did a thing.

Sam has one top tooth broken through and 3 more on the way. He grinds his top one and bottom together. must be really weird for him to have them there all of a sudden.

Be well everyone

It's just been bad over there Suzanne. I thought this was going to be an "easy" deployment for them. It's dhs first time not actually face to face with combat while deployed. Boy was I wrong!
For those that don't go to the pg- my husband is losing marines left and right ON their bases in Afghanistan. It's getting hostile

So yeah...I'm a wreck

They say it's a myth, but I see it over and over. DH is German Irish, and I was born with a full set of hair, so I'm sure our babies will be hairy!

I carried rolaids in my purse. But, if I could have stopped eating salsa, I might not have needed as many! Yet, I ate it anyway. In the third trimester the only way I could stand to eat ground beef was with salsa and even then it was gross.

We have been very lucky with how he's returned home. He has very minor PTSD. He has nightmares occasionally but really he's remained unchanged. Like I said, lucky, and uncommon for what he's seen and done.

He's been deployed 7 times and 5 of those have been front line combat. We both know a lot of kids who have died

DP - for you and your DH and all of them over there.

I'm hanging in there, weight is still up . I dont know what happened and how I could have possibly gained 8lbs over a weekend. Maybe I am retaining water because O is around the corner?

Menu for the day:

B - coffee w/ cream, chorizo & eggs w/ diced tomato & avocado
L - leftover grilled chicken over romaine w/ homemade thousand island
D - spinach salad w/ some kind of grilled meat

It is just way too humid and this is not working for my hair! About to go to the grocery store, my cashew butter arrived and I am making this wheat free bread for the family today. I have heard good things about it.

Did anyone else get an itchy belly button? That's never happened before, so I'm wondering if it's a pregnancy thing?

Thanks Suzanne!

Amy Liz-Not an itchy belly button specifically, but an itchy belly!!! And I was just noticing that I have a LOT of stretch marks this time around. I wonder if it is because I've now been pregnant longer in the last two years than I have been not pregnant.

Suzanne, I'm on my work laptop, and it won't let me access your link for the grain-free bread. I've had this "peanut butter bread" recipe saved as a favorite for a while but haven't had a chance to try making it yet - is it similar?

Suzanne - that bread looks amazing! I wonder if you can sub almond butter for the cashew butter to reduce the carbs?

I think I O'd yesterday, temp was up today.

I have stayed off the scale because its playing mind tricks on me.

Menu for the day:

B - coffee w/ crea, eggs scrambles w/ spinach & cheese, bacon
L - grilled chicken salad
D - going to an evening baby shower so will see if there is anything to eat otherwise I will grab a bunless burger on the way home.
