Oh my goodness, that is so detailed! DH and I have been talking about whether we want to pay out of pocket for 3d later on or not. We aren't sure yet! We will already be having a regular ultrasound once a month after 20 weeks bc of my high risk for gestational diabetes.

Well, I'm sick. Lots of sinus issues. Mike ran to the pharmacy today and asked the pharmacist if there was anything I could take to relieve at least the pounding debilitating headache. They suggested something. I'm still going to take it at the very minimum. I don't like taking things right now at all.

Also, my dad has a lot of heart issues and has been hospitalized for a respiratory infection. I'm really worried he wont be with us for much longer. He has heart failure that keeps getting worse.

It was worth it. We paid $155 and got a DVD and a flash drive with over 200 photos. I got to see her yawn and open her eyes and she grimaced when the tech pushed on her. We also got the bar with her heart beat in it. It was unbelievable. They showed us her girl parts again, we checked if she had hair (she's bald like her brother was!), and we got to watch her just "play" for a while. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

Sorry to hear about your dad! I get sinus colds a lot and right now really bad allergies, I'm serious, the NETI POT is a life saver and the safest option for the baby. The meds my doc said were ok are Sudafed (the one without psuedoephedrine) and Benadryl.

Simply adorable! I'm hoping to do one of these after 30 weeks. I have a friend who has done 4 already and she's only 24 weeks. I'd rather wait, til I can really see what he/she will look like!

Read this on "What to expect when you're expecting" this morning... Very interesting!
The taste of the amniotic fluid differs from day to day depending on what you've eaten (spicy enchilada one day, sweet carrots another). And that smorgasbord of tastes won't be lost on your baby. That's because your little one has very developed taste buds already. In fact, researchers have noted that babies who were exposed to certain tastes in utero via the amniotic fluid were more eager to eat foods with that same taste after birth. Want your baby to eat his or her broccoli later? Eat yours now!

200 ounces stored away, whoa! I am not bf'ing but I pump and I am only averaging about 2oz per pump! I have the next feeding or two prepared for brooke but that's it, we are supplementing with the similac sensitive. She's at about 60-70 oz per feeding. I make sure she gets breastmilk before bedtime, in my mind is like cake and ice cream

I can't find my scale from the move... probably best that way for now. I did try on a larger pair of pre-pregnancy jeans and they fit, but the lowrise isn't comfy with the c-s scar.

Krissy, I think you mean 60-70 cc per feeding (not oz)? Otherwise, I would hate to see the size of her belly after taking in that much formula!

For some reason, I've been one of the lucky ones that seems to overproduce. With PCOS and all.

Oh no, the lights just flickered! Arghhhh! The 'real' storm hasn't even begun yet, and probably won't until later tonight.

I really really think we need to get out of our living situation before the baby comes. But talking hubby into it and convincing him that we can afford it, seems to be impossible. There's no space here, and I feel like this is an unsafe environment to bring a baby home too. But he doesn't see it. And his work is so wishy washy since the economy sucks, that convincing him we can afford to move even on his unemployment is a huge challenge.

Pocahontas--at least you aren't up on the scale! I am up from 2 years ago and I haven't had a baby in the meantime

HappyCat--Hope your power stays on! Let us know how your little one is recovering with his little broken bone.

Don't feel bad. I started this pregnancy at the exact same weight too! At least it isn't higher! I've gained less this time too which is good.

2 months until my due date

Lori no update! Come on girl you know better, we are dying here!

I think that the reason you guys feel so scrunched is because none of the space you are staying in is really "yours" you know? I would bet that even if you had to downsize to a studio you all would feel so much better. It would definitely be tight but people do it! If you husband is unemployed and handy at all maybe you could find an apartment building where he could work as a handyman in return for a discount in rent.

He makes great money when he works, but has only been getting 3-6 months of work a year. We can totally afford a lot when he's working, it's the rest of the year that is tough. We started budgeting and saving last October, and in another year or so, we should be financially stable enough to make it thru even those tough times when he is out of work. It's just going to take time. We've saved $10k this year alone, but 6 of it is for the midwife and 2 is in a new car fund for me. If we had 10k sitting in the bank for the times he's out of work I could probably convince him to move. But then there's still the whole issue of him not wanting to leave his grandma alone.... Not anything I can really do about the grandma issue.
