Cj, I tested 3 days prior and had a negative, then the expected day of my period was a positive! Fingers crossed for ya!

I managed a 2 mile walk this morning, or should I say "waddle" because that's what it felt like.

I am 41!!! I was 40 when I gave birth. I stay on plan and look and feel better than the younger moms in my group.

My insomnia has been getting the best of me, but the good news is that I haven't had to work the last 2 days so I actually put my son in daycare. I was feeling guilty about it but I'm glad I did. I needed some time

I also got some good news today..we got dhs return window dates. He'll be back mid October. This means we will be able to have him at kyles birthday party..we'll just have it a tad late. I'm SO excited that now there is an end in sight..it's been a LONG 5 months.

That is definitely good to know! I am reading on the internet (and making myself insane) that most women don't test positive before their missed period. We'll see! Either way I'm happy, I would love a glass of wine this weekend!

I tested positive 6 days early but it is all dependent on how strong your hormone levels are. My fingers are crossed for you

I knew right away that I was pregnant, my body changes immediately. I waited a bit to test though.
Today seems like the first day in a long time I do not have a lot to do. I am going to check out cosco and see if the prices make it worth while to join. We only buy, meat, cheese, and clamato juice. My husband would get beer.

Taking control of your fertility is awesome, I heard about it on the playground here. I love it and it was SUPER informative. I also have the Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy, which is on loan from MIL, she's a baby nurse. That was great as well. My girlfriend said what to expect when you're expecting stressed her out a lot, she told me not to read it. What do you guys think about that one?

Disneyprincess--I bet you can't wait to see your DH! Must be tough for him to be away, especially when you're pregnant.

susanneyea--That is so incredible you knew right away! I am seriously impressed. You look great in your avi!

I'm feeling much better today, sore throat is going away and no more crazy boobs (what a relief). Trying not to test tomorrow morning. If period doesn't come tomorrow I'll test Saturday morning

Well my twins were out sick again today so I put my son in daycare again. He asked to go. I got some things done this morning and then relaxed. Probably my last day to do that until dh gets home.

I ordered her bedding and it should be here any day. It is princess theme, light pink and white. Dh picked it out actually. I think he is more excited. I'm kind of waiting for him to get home to get too much stuff. I have a few cut outfits and headbands. Oh, and I ordered a crochet hat with a big flower on it, pink of course

AF is here! Oh well. I'm allowing myself the next 5 minutes to be bummed before moving on. We are meeting with a really fun group of friends for dinner tonight so I know they will take my mind off it and cheer me up. I feel better knowing for sure either way, KWIM?

DisneyPrincess, I admire your restraint. When I found out my best friend was having a girl I was like a wild woman!! I am such a girly girl and love drooling over girl clothes. And the bedding, omg! How did you ever decide! My friends little girl is their youngest and only girl and goodness does she have her daddy wrapped around her finger! Your DH is in for a ride!

It hasn't been easy ill tell you! Even things like feet pajamas are 10x cuter in girls! I've found a few things I HAD to have but I want to hold off so dh feels he has some part of this. I'm focusing on her room now so it can be done when he gets home. Then we can shop!

Forgot to add before-my boobs are still getting that crazy feeling off and on! It seems like ever since I went off the BCP four months ago, my PMS has gotten increasingly worse each month. Something to remember for next month!

Wow, it's been a few days since I've posted.....I've just been so busy! Hard to believe I have less than 5 weeks to go! And for the best news.....I just had my ultrasound yesterday and the little guy finally made his journey to the proper position of head down!! That means (as long as he stays!) that I don't have to do a version procedure or schedule a c section right now. I am just glad he made the decision for me, I was dreading having to make that decision, and yesterday was the "deadline".

I'm a nervous wreck here. I haven't really felt baby girl move since yesterday morning. I'm waiting and waiting. If I don't feel her soon I'm going to call the doctor. I'm having some cramping too but it feels more like I have to go to the bathrooms cramps. I wish my husband was home because I'd go in right now to be checked out. If I have to go now I have to take my son

I'm afraid that once I find out the sex I'll go crazy with shopping too! So far the only thing I've bought is a co sleeper that I got from Craigslist for 1/3 the normal cost. Doesn't matter if its a boy or girl with that purchase!
I have about 5 weeks left til I get to find out the sex! Seems like it's flying by!

CJ, sorry this wasn't the month. booo.
sharon, almost there! please tell your baby to tell my baby that head down is the way to be. this one is adamant she likes her head in my ribs.

i had a dr appt yesterday with one of the other docs in rotation, i hope she's not at my delivery because she and i did not get along. i thought my due date was 10/26 but the paperwork she gave me said 10/24, but then she mentioned that she wouldn't let me go past 39 weeks because of my diabetes (but i'm not diabetic, i'm insulin resistant) and if we try a version at 37 and i start to PTL then they'll just take her then. so basically my due date went to the beginning of october if she doesn't sucessfully turn. i have a baby shower on 10/6 with my BIL's gf, so i'm hoping we wait til after that before trying any funny business!

YIkes! It's so important to have a doc you "click" with! I hope it works out well! You're getting pretty close to seeing your bundle of joy! How exciting!

Well I got the curtains for the baby room up. I LOVE them! I'm getting excited to get her room done. I have 5 weeks before dh gets home so I want it mostly done by then.

And I bought some boots for Stella today I couldn't resist!

Krissy-I forgot your's was breach...so they've discussed the version with you too? Would you do it, or just opt for a c section? From my research, it seems the success is only 50/50 and of course then there's the possibility of pre-term labor like Suzanne had....

That's what scares me! the "if you PTL we'll just take her" comment was an eye opener! My chiro has been doing the webster method this entire pregnancy and she's not budging so if she hasn't turned on her own then maybe i don't want to try the ECV. (and of course i just youtube'd it and seeing it freaked me right out!) the possibilities of the version not working worries me, so if it means she cooks a little longer and I have a c-s at 39w then i'm fine with that. DH doesn't want me to attempt the version at all.

DP - glad you felt her move! she's just busy growing. if you've been up walking around or keeping busy you probably rocked her to sleep. i think the 2nd tri was the easiest for me.
