I'm going to see if some rest and heat will help this over the next couple days before I throw in the towel and call the doctor. DH has also been massaging my butt cheek for me (how embarassing!) but it did help some last night.
As a licensed Massage Therapist I'm going to agree with the other poster, ICE IS BETTER for you.
Heat increases inflammation and ice decreases it. Yes I know heat feels good and may even temporarily help with the pain, but in the long run it's increasing your problem. ICE ICE ICE. I used to have sciatic pain so bad I could barely walk. Got rid of it with Ice and some stretches, (that involve laying on your tummy so you can't do it pregnant).
If you DO use heat, follow it with ice.
Also so peppermint essential oil can be very helpful.

ugh, i know what you mean. Twice a week, i have 10-hour days, and it's tough when you're hungry and tired for most of that time!

My fur kid was looking better yesterday so we're leaving on a short vacation tomorrow morning. My MIL is going to come in and care for him while we're gone.

I won't be able to check in while I'm gone. I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'll be back and ready to LC on Wed Andi!
