Good morning. I had hot dogs and pork rinds tonight so I'm thirsty and swollen today lesson learned. Going to chug my water

I had several days of my pregnancy when all I could eat was bacon or dried sausages. I would be so bloated after that I could barely move! Yet, I would do it again the next day!

Lol. It's terrible! I didn't even want my coffee until I had some lemon water this morning. I salt my foods a lot but I usually don't eat salty stuff. My rings were hurting me!

I had my first dream about the baby last night. It was a girl.

this morning the baby has been a tornado inside me. usually i feel bumps and thumps up above my belly button, but it feels like she's trying to stick a foot out my queen victoria, low, sharp and quick pains and i'm kinda getting concerned!

Weird, I keep reading that all of these things will be done at the first appointment. I sure hope so, since they made me wait so long!

Sam has slept all the way through about 5 nights in a row now. Knock on wood that this keeps up. Seems like he just needed to go into it.

Well ive weaned myself off most of the carbs but have been relying too much on bars to help me through. I need to get serious about going back to induction levels and get my thyroid meds regulated. Otherwise, im seeing no improvement in my weight and that is just sooo frustrating.

She is probably breach then right now. I'll find out for sure this afternoon, but I am convinced mine is breach because I feel TONS of kicks down by my "Queen Victoria" as well. Last ultrasound (3 weeks ago), he was tranverse, so we'll see.

(is it "breach" or "breech"?)

How far along are you now?

28 weeks. seeing her on the U/S from Tuesday her arms and feet were by her face, so maybe she was stretching her limbs out. we are just not agreeing on a comfy position today. its funny the ways my belly is getting in the way - i noticed i can't lean against the counter doing dishes anymore, and picking things up can be a challenge, or getting up from a laying down position on the couch or bed. i had to get some tennis balls out from under the couch (dual recliners) and that had to look ridiculous.

is your high chair the graco zooland print? i marked that print on my registry for the carseat & stroller.

jilly - bbq & mayo - i'll have to try that mixture.

Yes, it is the Graco "Simple Switch" highchair in zooland. I actually like it and Brandon seems to be pretty comfie in it. I also like the 5 point harness, I feel like he is pretty safe in there. The tray is nice and big too, and easy to take on/off. With that being said, DH just bought it one day off Amazon, I didn't even have say in it. (I got to the point where I just couldn't make any more decisions though so I was grateful that he went ahead and did that---the print is adorable too!!) But I think he picked a good one!

Hi ladies!

Not much going on here, just waiting to O. I hate the waiting game. TOM just left so it will be a couple weeks.

Where did JaxonsMomma go? Did we scare her off? COME BACK LADY!

Sounds like you all are doing well.

I am worried about Jaxs, she had a few posts where she sounded really down. Even if we eat a whole cake, we still support eachother!
I am on a burgers and salsa kick! Or burgers and brie. I am trying to get off my kraft single kick and use real cheese again. But , the kraft melts so well.

What about velveta? Is that any more "real"
I love me some real cheese

I know, Jax needs to come back I think she thought we weren't agree with her or that we found her efforts annoying, which I know wasn't the case. I'm so glad I have you guys to annoy

She wasn't annoying anyone, hope she does not feel that way.
No, I am off cheese for a bit. I am into either plain burgers or a touch of salsa.

Suzanne - i love salsa chicken - toss a can of salsa on sone chicken breasts, bake. Comes out nice and moist. Add some shredded cheese and it really like eating the interior of a quesadilla.

Happy - his shirt says "i like formula" and on the picture of the bottle it has the pythagoreum theorum - a squared + b squared = c squared. I am a science/math teacher and a coworker bought that one for him. Dh and i are geek/nerds (cool ones of course ) so quite a few of sam's shirts reflect that.

I dont have any defrosted meat. Wonder what i can defrost quick...i am hungry! Maybe some mahi mahi burgers.

i had to defrost hamburgers in the microwave last night, they tasted just as good as always.
Any other babies starting food? James is my little egg yolk addict. He likes ground beef too, but egg yolks and bacon fat are his favorite by far!

Suzanne, how old is James now? Brandon started solids at 4 months...and he just had his first egg yolk a couple weeks ago (at 8 months). Now he is on to the whole eggs, he has had scrambled eggs each night this week and seems to like them a lot. How do you cook the yolk?

I should add that Brandon's first solid food was sweet potatoes. And then peas. He LOVED peas! Mommy hates peas, but I am sure not to let Brandon see that I don't like them. I want him to make his own decisions on what foods he likes/doesn't like.

James is 4 months. I could tell he wanted to eat, he was staring at us eating and making chewing motions. I make hard boiled eggs and mix the yolk with bacon grease, he loves it! I also give him bits of ground beef and fat, likes that a lot too. I am making sweet potatoes this week, so he will try those too.
He had had eggs when I eat my omlette too.

Do you guys find any tummy troubles starting your babies on normal foods so young?

No problems here, but again, every baby is different. Andrew had zero interest in food at 4 months, he was over 7 months before he was interested. I could just tell that James was ready and I started slowly. I still do not use a spoon, just little bits on my finger.
And my mil is totally freaking out that I feed him, so that is a nice little bonus!

No tummy troubles here with Brandon either. We could tell he was ready, probably even before 4 months because he would stare at us when we ate....like he was very interested in what we were having and, hey where is mine? It was very cute.

We are still doing pureed or smooshy food. Few times i tried to start small chunks, i almost had a heartattack because i was not sure he would chew and swallow them completely. He still isnt really using his pincher fingers yet either.

Soon . Part of me is in no rush to see him grow up any further.

Im just weary of starting too early because my son had lots of tummy issues. But now I know it was/is dairy. It's good to know they can start on "real" foods early.

James still gets the majority of his nutrients from breastmilk, she just like to join in on meal time. He does not eat a lot.
