I can't believe it's already November! We are a supportive group of ladies who are working to get healthy for the babies we want to have in the future or the ones that are already here!
Please feel free to post your menus or exercise... we all need a little inspiration and some new ideas! Last edited by amm; 11-07-2009 at 04:05 PM.. |

Hey Andrea! My dinner tonight is going to be pot roast and creamed spinach. I bet that could be a yummy LC dish. I'm getting more and more mentally ready to get back to losing weight so I hope to join you shortly and watch us both get skinny together.

Oh, sorry, I wanted to add that my favorite cool weather soup was the creamy southwestern taco soup on Linda's website. Have you had it? I was very filling and lasted a few days. DH even loved it. We put a bit of shredded cheddar on top and a dollop of sour cream for added yumminess.

I read on the Expecting thread that Amber's little one has arrived. Congrats Amber!
So, I just found out the other day that now my other sister is expecting. She does not have kids and recently moved in with her boyfriend. She is only in her 5th week... it was a little tough to hear the news because of my recent loss... I especially wished that she wouldn't have said that it was an accident. She's the sister that no one ever imagined would have a baby. But, she says that she and her boyfriend are excited, so I'm happy for her. The other sister, the one with 3 kids, who was also recently pregnant, miscarried at 11 weeks. I don't know if I mentioned that here. So, my mom and dad are scared for the one who is expecting now, since my other sister and I have both had 2 losses within the last year. I'm sure that everything will be fine. It's a beautiful day today! I went back to spin class this morning for the first time in 3 weeks since I haven't been able to do any vigorous exercise since my recent situation. It felt good to be back but it was also really hard.

Andrea-
I hope for your family's sake that this is a sticky baby. I know you guys have been through a lot! And I pray your baby will be here soon! Out of curiosity did they say if there is something specific that causes ectopic pregnancy? I know the recent pregnancy was not confirmed ectopic but I'm curious if there is a specific cause that can be corrected? |

Katy- I'm doing well... I've been getting weekly blood draws to make sure my hCG levels fall to zero... so, the methotrexate worked and I avoided surgery, thanks goodness! As soon as they hit zero and my body gets back into a cycle, we will be able to try again.
Mel- there are risk factors for ectopic pregnancy... most involve having a prior abdominal surgery that might leave scarring on the fallopian tubes (gall bladder, etc). Some women have tubes that are irregularly shaped, but the doctor said he didn't see anything like that during my surgery last year. Pelvic inflammatory disease or other STD's are also risk factors. I don't have any of those risk factors, so we aren't sure why it happened to me. My doctor said that most ectopics aren't able to be explained. Last edited by amm; 11-16-2009 at 03:01 PM.. |

Hi, Ladies:
I'm praying for you all tonight. I'm so sorry for not checking in on you all in a few months, and I've missed a lot of news and I'm so so sorry about that more than anything. I love you all and I am believing that what He's done for me, He WILL do for you. Never ever ever lose hope, it WILL happen for each and every one of you. Baby dust prayers without ceasing for you! ![]() ![]() |
