H1N1 shots vaccinate canadians today
This message is for canadians only!!!
Canwest News ServiceVANCOUVER - In what is likely to be the largest mass vaccination in B.C. history, clinics will start giving H1N1 flu shots today, beginning with at-risk groups. The H1N1 flu shots are available starting today for people under 65 years old who have chronic health issues, pregnant women and people who live in remote or isolated communities, including first nations. On Nov. 2, shots will be expanded to children aged six months to five years, health care workers, and people who are in contact — at home or through home-care services — with infants or people who have compromised immune systems. In mid-November, H1N1 flu shots will be available to everyone else. The flu shots are free. The at-risk groups who can begin getting shots Monday can get their seasonal flu shots at the same time, one shot in each arm. A list of clinics providing the flu shot is available at BC Flu Clinic Locator.
