Anybody Using Implanon?

I am currently using Depo-Provera, but since it takes a while to return to fertility and DH and I want to try for a baby next year, my midwife recommended switching to Implanon. I am horrible at remembering to take pills and I had two friends DIE from getting pulmonary embolisms while on the NuvaRing. (This may simply be coincidence, but I'm avoiding it just the same).

My question to anyone using Implanon is, after having it inserted in your arm and losing weight, did it ever begin to come out of the skin? Is that a silly question? I asked my midwife, but of course she's not used to seeing people lose a lot of weight and also happen to be on Implanon.

My understanding is that the hormone is the same as the one I am currently on, just a different delivery system, so I am not really worried about it affecting my weight loss. Depo never has.
