Wow, look at all the boys we have coming up! Amber, I know you find out the gender in about a week, right? How about you Kaiser and Tina?
Oh, and Melody, did you say you will be induced sometime during the week of the 13th? I can't remember and am too lazy to look it up. ![]() Last edited by Potaty; 06-30-2009 at 10:38 PM.. |

I weighed today. Only 1/2 pound gain in June. Looks like my MASSIVE weight loss in my first few months is leveling off. PHEW

Well, I'm going to think positively and join you ladies. My second beta draw was yesterday, and I have been declared "officially pregnant" by my RE. We did IVF earlier this month, and did put 2 embryos back, so there is a possibility I will be a twin mommy. Unless I have spotting and a need to move it up, my first ultrasound will be in about 2 weeks to see how many heartbeats there are.

ey all! IM NEXT!!!!?
Im very very excited. You are very close, Katy. I will be induced sometime during the week of July 15-21. I have a doctors appointment today at 11:15…maybe a date? That would rock!! Whenever they schedule it for I am going to try to get myself birthing before that to avoid pit. He will start with the tape that softens the cervix…but we all know what happens if things don’t get rolling from that stuff. Im just gonna try nipple stim and BDing. Nothing drastic. LOL Katy, how is your sciatica? Are we sure that’s it, yet? I read to catch up but I wasn’t sure of the outcome. Happy 25th week, Meek. Congrats on keeping your weight where it is. Fighting our bodies urge to gain fast during pregnancy can be tough. I know it has been for me. Im at 207…had a four lb gain a few weeks back and it seems to be mine now. That’s ok, Im sure he needed it and that is still only 10lbs from week 21 to week 35 so Im going to give me big credit for that. I haven’t been here much because we moved. Im at work online now and hope that the internet at home will be hooked up in the next couple of days. We had to get a new number…bummer. I LOVE the new condo. It was very obviously built in the 70s and we will be doing some stuff around it to update it. She asked me not to use shelf paper so I am going to have to figure out how to get around that. Not having shelf paper grosses me out. Oh…and I have YELLOW countertops in the kitchen. Im thinking Ill do a celestial moon/stars theme and try and tie it in. Im gonna get some yellow and navy yarn and make some dishtowels and finger towels for it…my next project might be a rag rug for the area in front of the kitchen sink. Something to move that yellow around the room a little. LOL So many big windows and so much light…its like heaven. We got to meet lots of our neighbors yesterday. And a few of their puppies.

Yay for the new mommies to be!! I love moving up on the list!!
Katy - wow, look how high up you are getting!! And yes, one more week until we find out the gender. I cannot wait. I go at 9am next Wed. and will report as soon as I get back home, which probably won't be until later that night. DH and I plan to shop and celebrate. Hopefully our baby won't be modest like its mommy. |

Soooo....my computer is fubarred. My keyboard won't work, even with the new one so apparently it's a computer problem. Will try a wireless one next. I am at my mom's so I was able to update the list but if you don't see me for a few days, it's because I can't post. If I don't shut the computer down I can still read, just can't type.

Look at all the new mommies 2 B! Welcome!
I'm 30 weeks tomorrow!! Woohoo! only 8-9 more weeks for me. Hopefully I'll find out my c-section date on the 13th, but I'm not holding my breath, my doctor sucks. I thought I liked her but I decided I don't, and I hope we can move back to VA by some crazy event before I deliver. But whatever....I'll deal. Any doctor that boring has got to be great and focused in surgery...right? . (Basically what it comes down to is she has so many patients she doesn't even know who I am. I figured that out when I started talking to her about VA this time, she told me about her brother that lives there etc. and the trip she recently took at the last apt. - I thought we had a "bonding moment" Anyway she looked at me like I was a crazy person and obviously did not remember talking to me about it or the fact I'm from VA....that kind of stuff REALLY bothers me.) Besides I think I should be pretty memorable, with how freaking short I am and this crazy big curly hair, I mean seriously.....Anyhow I had my baby shower last Saturday and got so many cute clothes, blankets, bottles, diapers, diaper bag and gift cards and cash! My bff's sister brought me also 3 huge totes of 0-6 mo. boy clothes since she just had a baby year before last. Tons of really good stuff! My sister also just showed me all the stuff she's giving me from her 1 yr old boy - pack n play, travel swing, boucy exercisey thing, clothes, walker, towels, bathtub, portable highchair, toys, car seat, etc......so I think I'm set. The only thing I need is matress pads, sheets for the pack n play, and formula. My kids preschool teachers are getting me the combi stroller I wanted. My SIL is letting me borrow her big swing to use too. Thank God for all of that because my husband and I are seriously POOR right now. It is all such a HUGE blessing!!! So I took my kids to the Air and Space museum at Dulles Airport yesterday and my 8 year old was walking along minding his own business, but swinging his arms nonchalantly(sp?) and accidently hit this guy in the "nether region". Can you freaking believe the guy grabbed my son's arm (hard) and said in a REALLY mean voice, "F...ing B@st@rd", then he proceeded to ask me scarily while still holding tight on my son, "Is this your son?" I said, "yes". He said, "Well he just hit me in the b@lls. And you need to mind your child, b/c if he does it again I will hit him!" He said all of this so nasty and my son is really small for an 8yo...for all this guy knew this could've been a 5 or 6 year old. But regardless, my son doesn't even hit his own brothers in that region on purpose and he barely likes them, why in the "H" would he hit a perfect stranger in the b@lls. It was clearly an accident. And who the "H" grabs somoneelse's kid (especially a perfect stranger) and threatens to hit them no matter what the situation is? I was honestly afraid of this guy and what he might do, so I just was standing there shocked and hoping he'd let go of my son. I said, "I'm sure it was an accident sir" twice. Anyway he finally let go and we walked on, but he essentially ruined our whole time because it was so scary and weird that we just wanted to leave and obviously my son was upset and crying. I didn't report him to security because I was like, "what are they going to be able to do?" But looking back I should've. The guy was clearly a little off. I do realize he just got hit (by accident) in the gonads, but still....who does that? I don't know, hind sight is 20/20 but we really weren't close to any security and I just wanted him to get his hands off my son...that was my priority and I did not want to p1ss him off further. After some guy walks into the Holocaust museum not more than a month ago and shoots people, I really don't know how crazy people are these days and I dind't want to take any chances by yelling at the guy or being as nasty as he was. It's scary times.... Meanwhile sorry for talkin' y'all's ear(s) off.

Jenny, sounds like your all set. Girl you were BLESSED tremendously at your shower! Oh, and I'm sorry to hear about the accident. The guy sounds like a real jerk! I would have reported him - after I had smacked his face a few time (lol). Just kidding...

Yay, my keyboard works!!! Hopefully it stays that way.
Jenny~You practiced way more self control than I could have in that situation. You're right though, the guy has issues and it was best to not provoke him further. Dessa~I cannot believe Eli is almost a year! Today is my last day watching my niece (happy dance) so I can now focus on getting ready for baby girl, who is still nameless. |

Hi Ladies -
Quick question while I have both hands to type - what info usually goes on the birth announcements? Hope you're all well - can't believe Ada Jean was a month old yesterday! |

Question- our baby showers are next weekend and the weekend after in NY. We got a gift delivered to the house today and I opened it. Should I have waited and taken it to the shower or is it ok if I open??

Jackie,
I took mine to the shower with me but I don't think you did anything wrong by opening it first. As long as they get a thank you card along with everyone else, I think you're good. |

Hi Everyone - Happy 4th weekend! Ada Jean and I are having a very mellow next few days working on her latch and position in hopes that it will increase my milk supply. It doesn't make her happy to be working so hard, which is hard on me, because she is such an angel baby otherwise that I hate seeing her fuss. We're snuggling and basically just staying in bed and eating, pumping, resting repeat. I went to a breastfeeding support group yesterday which was great and my doula is continuing on for lactation support now as well. There are so many conflicting opinions on whether my milk might increase or not that I've had to pick the most positive people that I feel in line with and proceed with them - the ones who've said that I can back off of pumping now because this is probably the best it will get and I'm going to make myself crazy etc are not really the ones I need to hear at this point. I may reach that point and make a different decision - but that's mine to make.
Anyway - just wanted to say a quick hello - I pop in and read as I can but time seems to go by so quickly these days that I don't always make it and certainly don't post near as much as I'd like. Thinking of all of you though!
