Thanks ladies...

Congrats Melody and Baby Izzy!

I went to the doc today to have my pressure/urine checked and have my doc note revised. Not good. Now I'm home and on meds (which I don't know if I will take. Beta blocker to help reduce my pressure) until my BP is stable again. I am sooooo freakin frustrated and sad .

Katy, I work in the mental health field.

Meek~What about the appt wasn't good? The urine check or did your doc refuse the modified bed rest?

edited: nevermind, I re-read your post and realized your BP was high and you are just home until it goes down.

HP high and +1 protein in urine - I had to do ANOTHER protein test and start taking meds to lower bp. I'm scheduled to see the peri doc tomorrow to see how Christian is developing, etc.

I'm on facebook too -

Melody - Izzy is precious - hope you are recovering well. Your labor sounds like you did great!

My dear friend when home yesterday so it looks like I'm officially on my own now except for when my best friend comes to town every couple of weeks for her 2 days off. I like my own time with Ada - but the help sure is nice while it's here

...and now she's awake again... !

Cheri - Luckily it looks like the baby is going to be ok, thank God. He had a punctured lung, skull fracture and some other things, But what is so crazy is that the people aren't upset with the dog....I'm sorry, I do love my dog, but just the fact I can't get rid of her flees (doing everything I possibly can) before Griffin gets here, is making me consider finding her a good home....these people I have a feeling would let that dog back in their house were she/he not taken away. I also can't figure out how the dog got in the the crib anyway, unless, the baby was simply in a lower basinet or something, they made it seem like he was in a regular crib.

I don't understand people that have this unending trust in their dogs around their kids. My dog (irish setter) wouldn't hurt a fly, she'd lick a robber I'm quite sure, but I still teach my kids to NEVER put their face in hers, never try and take food from her or even touch her food though she's never shown any aggression around any of those things. Animals can not be trusted with kids period. I will always stand by that. It's honestly because you can't trust the kids the majority of the time not to irritate them (though in the baby case that is not the case). So I say all that about my dog and then my sister's son who is 18 mo, was visiting recently and for the first time in 5 years since I'm had my dog (since she was a puppy) who has never growled or snapped at anyone, she did growl at him, so.... a perfectly docile dog, shown time and time again to be a perfect kid/family dog can not even be trusted apparently. She's even grown up with my little crazy boys....so I was shocked. I will say here and now if she EVER growls at Griffin for no apparent reason she is gone, she also will no longer have free run of the house anymore once he arrives.

I used to watch these two little girls when I was 18, and my mom had two Schitzu's and one of them jumped up and bit one of the little girls right in the face and that dog had never done anything like that before either.....so needless to say I just don't trust dogs and kids.

Hi, I just came from seeing my peri doc. The baby is doing well. He is 2lbs 5oz at 28 weeks/2 days. I have to follow-up again in 4 weeks to make sure he is still growing properly.

I wish I could post the dvd clip of my 4D sonogram from yesterday. It is so amazing. Christian looks just like my handsome husband. I soooo can't wait to meet him in October. Oh, and he is finally head down -- yippee!!

Congratulations Melody!! He is so handsome!

Hi ladies. I was out of town on vacation and am back. DH and I bought the baby furniture, bedding, and received tons of gifts from family and friends. The furniture should arrive within 8 weeks so we're going to use the next few weeks to paint and get new carpet. It's getting so real.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Amber~ How exciting! What bedding did you go with? I remember when Ricky was a baby (10 years ago ) his nursery was Looney Tunes Baby. I don't know if they even make it anymore! Gracie was pink Carter's bunnies and poor Erin doesn't have a theme - her crib is just pink and she shares Grace's room. I guess by the third one the novelty wears off -LOL. Enjoy every part of planning the room and getting ready, you deserve it.

Just stopping by to let you all know that I'm being admitted to the hospital for pre-eclampsia. My protein test from y'day came back well over 400+, so my peri doc is admitting me today. I came home to get my husband and pack a few items. I won't have my laptop with me. I'll try to check in soon.

Please lift me and baby Christian up in prayer!
