So tomorrow I get to go to the perinatologist to learn how to use insulin.
I had gestational with Noah and of course got it this time too, only this time my body isn't wanting to work with the oral meds so I get to spend the last 8 weeks on insulin. Yay! /sarcasm I know it's not going to be as bad as I am anticipating, and of course I will do anything to ensure Wyatt's safety and proper growth and development, but I am not looking forward to it. Oh, and the best part?! I am learning how to do it tomorrow so I can start Tuesday. Tuesday is my birthday. to me. :/

Hi Ladies - just was wondering if anyone would like to play "Secret Stork"? It's similar to secret santa - but we exchange gifts for the babies that have already been born and soon to be born. I thought this would be a fun way to bless each others babies.
Let me know. Thanks! |

Meek - I love that baby's birthday. How neat!
Hi everyone. My grandfather passed away this weekend and the funeral is tomorrow. It's been a very emotional last week for all of us. I will likely be MIA for a few days. I hope everyone has a great week and I'll "see" you soon. |

Happy Monday, everymama!
Secret santa sounds good! What do we do?I had a weekend and a half. I am 37 weeks now. I should be induced if I dont go into labor myself by July 20. Woo! I decided that since my shower this last Saturday that I would go ahead and have him Saturday night. I got everything all organized. It was such FUN! And the shower was wonderful. My inlaws meshed very well with my friends, which I was a little concerned about. I just dont like anyone to feel out of place, ya know? SO...I went to the shower and then I headed home. We DTD and fell asleep. 3:30 contractions wake me up and they are 5 minutes apart. Good. But Im not going to the hospital until I am SURE. So at 4:45AM they are at 3 minutes apart for about 6 contractions. I wake up DS and me him and DH head to L&D. I get in there...they hook me up to see what I am doing and check me. Thats where the fun ends. Im hooked up to the machine and it confirms I am 3 minutes apart. Im checked and she was TERRIBLE...Im still bleeding a little over 24 hours later. I was bleeding badly at first. Im telling myself that perhaps she was sweeping my membranes as a favor because I prefer to think that than have hateful feelings. Ya know? But they sent me home after an hour of monitoring...said that despite being 3 minutes apart for an hour I am 2 cm and the contractions are not long or hard enough. She literally said to come back when they are 60 seconds long and I dont feel like smiling anymore. I always smile. Its a thing... But she was right. They calmed down. I still have them quite frequently but I feel fine and I give up. Im just gonna wait until I am induced and try to enjoy my last week of pregnancy and get every last drop of preggy joy out of it. Im not looking forward to going back to L&D. My next visit is in my doctors office on Wednes morning. Then I have a NST at L&D on Thursday. Then hopefully an induction at L&D on Monday. But darn a homebirth sounds awefully nice... Im SO clumsy. I have spilt coffee twice already this morning. First one was at the donut shop all over their counter. ![]() Im kinda dopey light headed feeling...my BP was up to 124/77 at L&D when I thought I was in labor. My contractions are still happening very frequently, but Im not gonna drive myself nuts timing them if they arent more painful and lasting 60 seconds each. I figure if I can keep this up and keep dilating slowly but surely without pain the yay for me! ![]() Im at work. Its WAY slow so no stress. Just kinda puttin' around and everyone is taking very good care of me. DH brought me to work...no more driving for me, I suppose. It should be a very laid back couple of days until D day. Meek...Im sorry about the 3 hour. I hope everything turns out well. Ugh...Tink I am sorry about the classes. No fun. How was everyones weekend? Its hot here...kinda muggy. My internal thermostat is going nuts. I am not an easy sweater usually. But I am sweating like crazy! Ewww...feels yucky. Jenny...hows that pool? We have one, but I havent made my way down there yet. Now that Im bleeding I am NOT going in a public pool. Im a germaphobe and that would totally make me "think". LOL Enjoy the cool water for me, K? Have fun in NY, Disney!! Ive been packing on water (did this before I had Errol, too) and I am up to 210. Took off one of my rings but not my wedding ring. It should be fine thru delivery. Its still fitting well.

Hi all,
Went to the doctor today for my 31/32 week apt. I've been a little worried about having an amniotic fluid leak because I have been coughing so hard with bronchitis that I thought it was going far beyond urine release, but luckily I just keep pee'ing myself A LOT! I have to wear a maxi pad all the time while I get over this. She also gave me an antibodies test for Fifth's disease because my sister's son has what I think is Fifth's disease. He had a fever the other day, was acting pretty miserable for days and then had the lacy rash all over his body, but he doesn't have the slapped cheek look they always describe but I didn't want to take any chances. The OB said most likely I've already been exposed before so hopefully it won't be an issue. Meanwhile I had another U/S and baby is measuring 4 lbs 1oz. My Ob thinks she wants to deliver me at 37 weeks since it's my fourth c-section, she's afraid if the baby gets too big I may rupture. So it's looking like, for now, I'll have little Griffin August 24th. Meek - Unfortunately as much as I'd LOVE to do a secret Santa we just really can't afford anything extra right now. A life I choose to enable to stay home with my kids and homeschool.....so I don't complain, but it does have it's downside in situations such as this. ![]() Melody - Sounds like you had a busy weekend woman! Sorry the "check" was so rough. I've never understood that, I remember getting checked with my first and it hurt like hell, and I'm thinking to myself if you gotta work that hard to figure out how dilated I am then obviously I'm NOT THAT dialated....sheesh. Oh and btw the pool is nice, I'm a beached whale feelin', but oh well, it's relaxing and I have probably the best tan I've ever had this year. ![]() BTW so far I've gained 28 pounds which is a little bit of a bummer, but it's still not as bad as it could be and since now I'll be delivering early maybe I'll be able to stay under 35 for the grand total. Amber - Sorry to hear about your grandfather. ![]() Well I'm super chatty and my sister is bugging me to get off of here since she's leaving tomorrow. Talk to y'all later,

![]() August 24 is Mike's B-day! So I did my first insulin shot this morning. After taking 10 minutes to talk myself into it, it didn't hurt at all. Thank goodness because I have about 8 weeks of 3 times a day shots in my future and while I would do it for Wyatt regardless, having them not hurt and be a miserable experience helps. |

Hi Ladies - just checking in. I start my nutritional class tomorrow. I was told that I will have to check my BS 4x's per day and record each reading + keep a diary of the foods I eat. I spoke to the nurse at my docs office and she said I do not have to go on insulin right now. Thank God!
.I also reschedule my 4D session for Wednesday of next week. I just could not wait until the end of that week. I so anxious to see how Christian looks . I'll be sure to share pics with you all after my appointment.Have a nice day - BBL! Meek

Hey all! Just checking in.
I went to L&D again last night. When I told my doctor over the phone that I was still bleeding from being checked two days prior he insisted on an NST and check. The NST was great and my cervix is still there. LOL 2.5cm. Contractions are light but frequent still. I really think Im gonna be induced. I dont think I will make it into full labor before that. But I see the doctor tomorrow and I am going to beg for a Friday induction. He was saying Monday but I would love to go on Friday. Wish me luck, please. ![]() |

Just wanted to update everyone- we had our first ultrasound today and right away we saw TWO beautiful sacs and heartbeats! We are officially expecting twins, and are really excited and a little bit shocked. My EDD will stay the same, but the RE told me that its rare they let any twin mommy go past 38 weeks due to the increased risks, so I'll likely have February babies!

OMG! Congrats Jessica!!! I am so so happy for you!
Today is 2 two of insulin shots for me. Not too bad. My blood sugars this morning were AWESOME even after having 1/2 a banana (which is sugary) so I am happy they are at least worth it. Hope all is well with everyone else. |

Sinder - That is AWESOME news!! Congratulations!!!
![]() ![]() Wow two little ones. More power to ya girl. I know God only gives us what we can handle....I'm so glad apparently he didn't think I could handle more than one at a time so far. ![]() AFM - I'm so sick of coughing!!! I haven't slept through the night since I can't even remember. And now the coughing is so bad (especially at night) I actually now gag or throw up. I have to sleep on the couch as not to keep my DH up. I took my son, who seems to have the same thing, to the dr. yesterday and the Dr. basically said "he's fine, it's a virus"....so needless to say I'm guessing it's the same deal for me which means no relief anytime soon that I can tell. It's awful, especially when you add in I now have to wear Poise pads all the time now. |

Jenny -
Sorry that you are sick!Jessica - OMG!! Twins??!!! That's amazing. Congratulations x 2! ![]() Cryssi - I'm glad the shot wasn't too bad. Meek - have fun seeing your baby again next week. I'm trying to figure out when to schedule my 4d u/s. I think I might wait until 32 weeks as something I read online said that plus sized mommies get better images around 30-32 weeks. I don't know though... My next regular u/s is in 7 weeks. AFM, thanks everyone for the support and thoughts. The funeral was lovely and I think my grandfather would have loved it. It was a very hard and emotional week though. I'm going out of town this weekend for some baby shopping with my mom and I hope the retail therapy will do us both good.

Jessica - Congrats on the awesome news! Wow, twins!!
![]() Jenny - I'm sorry to hear you still have a cough. Oh no, I couldn't imagine having a cougn and stiches....OUCH is right! ![]() Thanks Amber! Yes, the US tech said the best time is between 28-32 weeks. If you wait any later - the baby may be to big and doesn't move as much. That is why I elected 28 weeks. I'll post pics after my appointment. |

OMG Jessica!!! Congrats on Twins
That is so amazing... ![]() You get double babies!!!Today I went to the doctor for my 37 week appointment. I was ready to beg for a Friday induction but he said no. Every day counts. ![]() So tomorrow I have my baby stress test at L&D, please pray for me that it is uneventful. I dont want any more drama before this baby. All the tests have been great and everything looks good...but them thinking something is wrong makes me so nervous. But I am doing my best to count my blessings. I gained 4lbs this week. To look at me I would have to say ALL water. My fingers look so sad! But he didnt like it and took blood for a "complete metabolic workup". I get the results tomorrow at about 2. So if all goes according to plan and I dont go into labor myself...then I head to his office on Monday afternoon and he will check me and insert whatever cervix softener is appropriate. Then at 630 I have an appointment at L&D to start Pit if things arent going along as quickly as he would like. He asked me to not tell any family and friends...just keep things quiet so I can relax and let it work. As of right now Im almost 3 cm and still pretty thick. My only focus right now is to count my kicks and drink ALOT of fluids. How on earth am I going to pass the time this weekend without going bonkers? I wish I had patience. |

Cryssi~Sorry to hear about your GD!
Meek~I am going to have to opt out of the Secret Stork. I wish I could participate, but since I'm self employed we have to financially prepare for me to make no money while I am off so we are scrounging every penny right now. Amber~Sorry to hear about your grandfather! Had he been ill?Jessica~Awesome news! February babies are awesome, if for no other reason than it is cold outside (depending on where you live, of course) and you can step outside without a coat to calm your hot flashes! lol Jenny~Sorry to hear about your cough. I've been there, puking from coughing so hard and it is horrible, especially being pregnant! Ugh! Melody~The day is near!!! I'm glad you have everything done and ready for Izzy! Hope your b/w turns out normal! AFM~Been busting my butt this week trying to get stuff ready. Nursery is painted although I am unsure of the color. It looks like a bottle of Pepto exploded. I think it will all work out when the furniture and everything is in there. I am too cheap to repaint with another shade. I've also been really tired. I was the same way at the end of my last pregnancy. No nesting instinct for me, apparently. ![]() |

Hi Ladies - just checking in for the day. All is well. I have only 13 more Tuesdays (the day I turn a new week in my pregnancy) to go! I am SO excited! I'm finally in the third trimester too! Woot!
Okay, so since we don't have enough participates - let's cancel the Secret Stork! I actually joined another group that is doing it, and have a family in Phoenix. The couple is expecting their first child - which is a baby girl. I'm going shopping for her this weekend .Have a wonderful day ladies .Meek |

Hey ladies. Happy Thursday. We are going to look at a daycare today around lunch time. I heard good things about it but I already don't like the policy of needing to come on a specific day at a specific time. I prefer the places that let you drop in randomly. But we'll see...
Meek - yes, please do share your 28 week u/s. I have a 28 week u/s with my specialist so I was going to do the 4d at either 27 or 29 and then realized I should wait another week so the baby looks different and so it spreads out my times I get to see the baby. So that was why I pushed to 30 weeks. But my shower is going to be at 32 weeks so I figured if I waited until then I could invite my mom and aunt to watch the 4d u/s. So that's my reasoning for waiting so long. Plus afterwards, I'll only have 8 short weeks until the baby's due date. We're both Tuesday girls for starting our new weeks. Only 20 more Tuesdays for me. ![]() Katy - awww, I'm sure the pink isn't that bad. Some colors are just harsh without wall decor or furniture to calm them down. And no, my grandpa wasn't really sick. He was suffering from dementia and was going downhill in general, but he fell and hit his head on Tuesday of last week. He was in the hospital and started having breathing problems. They moved him to hospice on Wed and he passed on Sat. It was pretty quick. Melody - Good luck girl! Sounds like you have a very exciting next few days ahead of you. Hope everyone has a good Thurs! |
