Christina - so happy for you and hubby doing so much better!! And size 13!! Hello! That's awesome!
It'll fun when DH goes away because according to my wisdom I should be around 200 or so by then.. so every pound at that weight for me makes a HUGE diffference.. he will be STUNNED at the differences. Good thing about him being gone though is I can diet MY way.. I can do something like JUDDD and not get heck for it!! Luna - how does it work for civies? do they come home mid-tour or stay away the whole time? My friend is dating an American who thinks he's about to be laid off and he is contemplating doing something in Iraq. It sounds like excellent money but do they get to come home? A year is so looooooooong. I'm so happy that the Canadian military doesn't do tours like the USA. Crazy!!

Hey Ladies,
Less than a week left of classes for me. That makes me really happy... I'm in the home stretch! I am 3dpo today. I ovulated on CD14... for some reason, it makes me happy when I ovulate on day 14 because it makes me feel all normal. Doesn't happen every month, though. Fertility Friend said that if I conceive this month, my due date will be St. Patrick's Day... I think that would be neat. Plus, DH and I were married in March, so I think it would be neat to have a March baby. Plus, I would be able to just take the rest of the school year off, so that would be good timing. Send me good implantation vibes in case the swimmers actually found the eggie!

You do get paid vacation time as a civilian, BUT you have to schedule with your base "boss". And then it is the military transport back and forth.
BUT apparently most guys (most of them are male... not trying to be sexist ) just do it straight through. Because if you came home for a week at 6 months, you would have to stay out there another week... you have to complete a full year to get all your bonuses. The civilians are under very similar "rules" as the military guys out there. Hubby is a way over qualified IT guy and those contracts and jobs are hard to get anywhere in the US right now. Sooooo many IT places are laying off and sending jobs overseas. And they want cheap people. He gets alot of "you cost too much, you are too over qualified". ![]() .

Andrea - My birthday is St. Patrick's Day!!!! Its a fun birthday except when you get older and your friends are concerned about drinking green beer and really kinda forget it's 'your day'. Incidentally, my hubby's birthday is Halloween and we got married on Valentines day. Our DD's birthday isn't anything though.. it was NEARLY one of her grandfather's birthday but we missed it by about 6 hours. Doh!
So my AF this month was really light but enough to get on a pantyliner/pad for 2-3 days.. but like really light.. but I've been spotting on and off ever since.. now I think I'm cd 7 and started to get more spotting.. brown though.. heh sorry tmi I know but just starting to wonder if all this AF I thought I was having was just spotting all along and I'm still due for a real/normal AF? My temps went down so I'm definitely not pregnant so not worried about that but kinda worried about the testing I have and will be doing. I guess time will tell.. so annoying if this is the case.. I mean seriously, of all months for that to happen..? Grr.. but it might explain why I'm STILL retaining water and unable to lose despite dropping carbs and calories to the brink of being miserable. Also the technician queried what CD I thought I was for the ultrasound.. Last edited by Lylotte; 06-27-2009 at 07:00 PM.. |

Well I survived the sonogram today.. hurt like HELL. The doctor was trying to hard to see what he needed but just couldn't, kept injecting more saline. He said my uterus looks good but that he can't tell what's going on with the tubes. He can't see anything bad, but at the same time he cannot confirm they are okay. He did mention something about a nice follicle though.. that's promising! I'm still spotting/light today despite me thinking I'm cd9.. so confused.. but he was okay with doing the proceedure. No mention of 'are you sure you had your period?' or anything. Tonight is the last day of soy isoflavones.
We're gearing up for dh to go on holidays, he's off Wednesday for Canada Day and then off the rest of the week and the following week. We bought all new camping gear and are planning on going next week for 3 days I believe. I want to go longer but dh is not keen since it's Katherine's 1st time. Had an awesome weekend, went to the annual Teddy Bear Picnic, almost everything expect food was free. Katherine go to go on all kinds of ride for the first time and get her face painted, pet a snake, play games, and take her stuffed bunny 'Bouncey' to the Teddy Bear hospital to get a cast, needle and visit the dentist. lol They really go all out at this thing.. so cute! Andrea - how are things going? Luna - my cycles were never messed up really before I got fat this time around ![]() My scale has started inching down again.. hoping for more action in the next week.. I need big numbers to go to RE with!!! Hi everyone else! |

Hey Charlotte, I'm doing fine. Just stressed with the last week of my classes but trying to stay focused. I'm in the 2ww... today was 5 dpo. So, too early to know anything but still keeping my fingers crossed.

My cycles were set in stone before I got fat. Then it bounced from rarely having AF to having her too long or too many times.
I HATE the constant "spotting" times too! {{{{{hugs}}}} Sounds like you had a painfull day. Do you have to do it again? |
