Congratulations Amy! I can't wait to see some pics and hear all about her birth. 15 hours of labor is pretty good.

Kaiser~ Good to see you again. Congratulations.

Asmallerme - I was the one furthest away from my due date for the longest time and now look at me, I'm movin' right up. You will be too, sooner than you think.

I tell ya I personally can not wait to be done with this pregnancy, you can so tell I'm getting close to the third trimester. By the very end I'm cryin' every day b/c I'm so miserably uncomfortable (like the last 3 weeks), lacking sleep and I inevitably go through, "how can I do this again" "I'm barely a good mom to the ones I already have" "how can I bring another child into this world with all the horrible things that happen here" boo hoo, boo hoo poor me You'd think since I know this, it won't happen this time, but it happens every time....

All this talk about sonograms makes me want to get another one. I don't have another apt until June 12th (glucose test...yay ), I need to remember to ask then if they'll be giving me another sono before the end, if not, maybe I'll splurge on the cheapest 3D. But $99 for 10 minutes.... Oh well I think some men out there pay more than that for 3 minutes of something they want.... Just kidding...sort of!

Our 3Ds are only $75 for 15 minutes so maybe yours will be cheaper.

Gracie~How is your tailbone?

Jenny~I do my GTT on the 11th, not looking forward to it and I am kind of wondering if I will even pass it. I passed with Tucker but with this one I have been craving (and caving to) carbs. I really hope I pass. If I don't I have to deliver in the hospital instead of the birth center.

Not much going on here. DH is back in Austin for another 2 wks. I am having some hip and pubic bone pain as my joints start to loosen up and massages are getting harder to give. I keep touching people with my belly.

On an exciting note (well, exciting for me), I found a free crib so now I just need a mattress and dresser. I have also picked out her bedding and have a nursery design plan in my head. I am hoping to get Tucker transitioned to his new room the first part of July and have the new baby's room done by the end of July.

Cheri and Tracey~How are you guys doing?

Good morning everyone!

Gosh I was hoping to be greeted by some baby pics this morning. I can't wait to hear from Amy. Honestly, I think I'm a little jealous that she delivered before Cheri and I. I've been having a few it's not fair moments but I'm happy for her nonetheless. It just goes to show how unpredictable pregnancy and childbirth is.

Katy~ I'm doing good...still pregnant....no contractions since Sunday...no mucous or show...my boy still refuses to drop and stay there...none of this makes me confident that he'll be here by the 11th...sigh! My blood pressure was down at my appt. on Monday though so I'm back at work.

Jenny~ You are too a good mother! If you ever need a confidence boost in that area, just read the news. My mom made a lot of mistakes raising us but reading about some of the "mothers" nowadays, I'm grateful that she kept us clothed, fed, in school, and that she didn't abandon us or kill us. I know there were times when she wanted to. I can't wait to be done with this pregnancy either and I'm not even really that uncomfortable. Maybe when (if?) my boy ever drops, I'll start feeling miserable but the only things I can complain about at 39 weeks is hip pain when I walk and lie down, tiredness, and I'm hot all the time now.

Tracy glad to hear your bp is down.. I still think you might beat me, though I have no signs of impending labor except that I'm exhausted. I stayed home from work yesterday just because I was too tired to get off the couch and the thought of forcing myself made me want to cry.. So I just stayed. Wimpy I know.

Amy--can't wait to see the pics when you get a chance!

Oh, and welcome new mommies

I'm gonna go hit the pool before it starts to rain and I have to get ready for work

Yay for a baby girl!!! Ahhh...Im so glad it all went well. I bet she is just precious.

Jenny...Im pretty much over pregnancy, too. Im 31 weeks and have just over 6 weeks to Induction Day (new holiday). The last three weeks with Errol were the hardest for me, too. Emotionally, physically...I felt like a bloated uncomfy alarm clock and I had no idea when it was going to go off. Just tense! Being induced at 37 weeks I will not be experiencing those three weeks.

I feel bad, ladies. Old. Cranky. Achy.

Things are going smootly. I am ANXIOUSLY waiting to hear about my second 1 hour glucose results. Hopefully today (X Fingers).

I went for a little walk this morning and a longer walk last night. My weight is up a lb. Im really falling of the diet wagon slowly. Bread is making it back in to my day to day routine. No more breadbaking for me. Its hard to bake it and not eat it! So yum!

Im at work. I brought some crochet to work on. Having the maternity leave convos with my boss.

Jenny...you are a good mom. Remember...focus on the positive. Being down in the dumps is no way to enter your third trimester. Its too hormonal on its own without help. Just breath and hug one of your babies.

Tracey I am so glad to hear your BP is in a good place and that you are not miserable. He is going to be here before you know it! My sons birthday is June 11. Its a good one.

Welcome new mommies!

Someone asked about diet. I ate whatever I wanted and gained too much too fast. So my doctor told me no sugar, no fried, no bread and light salt. Kept my weight from growing too fast the last 11 weeks. Im 31 weeks. Gained 25ish in the first 20 weeks and gained 5 in the last 11 weeks with the new diet. I think the first weight gain had a lot to do with me being so into diet and exercise before the pregnancy and just stopping all at once. It will all come off. Im not worried. But I want to feel good for the next two months so Im being careful.

Good morning!

OK Only 4 of us posted yesterday? Where is everybody?

Melody~ I hope I'm being hormonal too. I have just been in a worrying induced funk since Monday. I keep trying to snap out of it but the positive self talk doesn't seem to be working. I got a GC for a prenatal massage at my shower so I think I'm going to try to use that this weekend.

Katy~ A free crib! You can't beat that.

Cheri~ No, you're not wimpy at all. I think every morning for the last 3 weeks or so I have laid there when the alarm goes off debating whether or not I should get up and go to work. The only thing that gets me up is I have a great and very understanding boss and I don't want to leave a whole bunch of unfinished projects on my desk for her to clean up. So, I'm trying my best to wrap up things at work by tomorrow. Cause, I'm telling you, if he's not here by the 11th, I'm going to need to take a mental health day (or two).

Anyhoo, I have another appt. with the midwife this afternoon and then I'm going to get a manicure and pedicure. Have a great day ladies!

quick update from Amy before I head to work:

They are still in the hospital. Baby has jaundice and is having latch issues. Her milk is starting to come in with using the pump and she is finger feeding her (I assume with SNS) right now.

BB tonight, and hopefully will have more info then.

Yeah as for posting (or lack there of) I think in the summer, for me anyway, it's harder to post because I have to "entertain" the little guys...typically at the pool or library, and I don't want to be one of those moms who's kids are in the pool (or swingin' on the swings at the park or what have you) and they (the moms) are on their blackberry, cell phone or laptop.

I just really HATE that with a passion. I mean it's one thing to answer the phone and talk occasionally, however, I literally see these moms (and dad's) set up "shop" at the pool - table and all with their laptops etc. I realize some people work from home etc. and not to be judgemental, but I have to be honest since I witness this on a daily basis, the kids at the pool who's parents are quite obviously are ignoring them, are the kids that are the rudest to other children and usually just obnoxious in general. Grant it, not to imply my kids are the perfect by any stretch, b/c they can be jerks to each other as brothers, but I've never once seen them treat another kid the way I see these other kids acting towards perfect strangers. And b/c their parents aren't paying attention, me, other parents and the lifeguard are constantly having to say things to them about what they are saying or doing.

There's one dad that brings his son and the dad just paces the pool talking so loud on his cell phone it's aggravating to everyone else trying to have a fun/relaxing day, we don't want to hear his personal conversations much less as loud as he is while pacing the length of the pool over and over. One dad brings his laptop and watches movies the entire time while his kid swims by himself. It's sad really.

So needless to say I'm lurkin' and postin' when I can. They are at basketball camp right now, so here I am.

I went to Kohl's and got some shorts, well more like coo-lots (lol) because my legs are just so icky right now, but I'm at least cooled off, wearing pants in the summer for a pregnant woman has got to be akin to some type of "harsh interrogation" method. I'm dyin'. Then my DH decides he's going to try and save money on the electric bill and has been turning up the temperature on the AC and finally I just said, "look....you've got to understand my body temperature right now is just not right, please please save the money saving tactics until after the baby gets here." At 76 degrees I feel like I'm having a heat stroke in here seriously.

Well I'm miss chatty today. I hope everyone is having a great day. I need to go workout before I need to go pick up the boys.

Hi Jenny - I understand what you are talking about. I love the pool, so I'm in there the entire time playing with my babies! Infact, I'm in before them . I feel you on the pants situation too. I purchased about a dozen of cute sundresses to wear this summer, along with some really hot sandles. I pretty much washed and packed my pants away. I can't take it. I'm always so hot for some reason. Stay cool out there in LA -

Hey ladies. Just checking in. I've been super tired this week. I am tossing and turning at night and woke this morning with a sore back.

I'm trying to make slightly better choices as far as eating goes. I appreciate all of your suggestions again.

Katy - thanks for giving us the updates on Amy. That's great that you two are being able to communicate so we know how she's doing.

Sorry, no time for personals. I'll probably be able to post more this weekend. My only real update is that my next ob appt is on Monday and afterwards I plan to buy some maternity shirts. I'm running out of clothes to wear and it's getting difficult to conceal my growing belly.

Tracey...you have a FREE PRENATAL MASSAGE!? That sounds like heaven... enjoy it, I hope you can make it happen this weekend.

Katy... I just KNEW you had some seriously good crib karma coming up. Congrats!!

Ahhh...I hope she snaps out of the jaundice. Ive never heard of fingerfeeding? Or SNS? Whats that?

I am totally one of those moms that are on my laptop at the pool...that or reading. But Errol is 12 and I hear ALL. If he got out of line or anyone else Im the first one off that lounge chair. And if he is out of line he knows we are going home. His boundaries are very clean. I do have a little problem with him splashing too much when he jumps in. He just doesnt seem to think about who is near the pool. Its something that has had him out of the pool a few times in the last year. *sigh*

I cant stand when people do the public display cell phone calls. When it happens I get on my cell phone and stand right by them...I have a girlfriend that I call and she totally gets what Im doing. I know it seems bitter...but its really rude and distracting. Its funny how the people know its rude when someone does it to them but not when they are doing it to others.

Some guy was on a loud cell phone call in the OBGYN office the other day...so I stood in front of him and called my friend. He went outside and I told her I had to go. :P

I feel good today. I did my PPW dvd last night after a nap and some spaghetti. This morning I went for another walk which really seems to start me off on a good foot for the day. Its a 10 minute walk up a little hill and then back down it. I made oatmeal for breakfast and then wanted raisin bran for lunch. I had a little bean burrito for a snack...I have been hungry for carbs like crazy this week! Im not sure what we will do for dinner. I feel like salad. I will do my workout video tomorrow morning if I dont do it tonight.

Work has been busy today. Im feeling tired. I havent considered calling in sick. Im the only employee and I open the office. I just havent even considered it an option. My boss is understanding...if I felt like crud he would totally understand me calling in. I think that is why I dont do it. I am happy that we got the maternity leave discussion all squared away. Im not taking maternity leave. I am going to work whenever I can and bring the baby and he will pay me for 40 hours. Physically my job is not challenging and technically he could not do what I do. And if we got a sub for me it would be more work that its worth and more money that its worth...so we are both just going to be flexible.

I made the invites for DS birthday party! Its going to be fun spending the day in the sunshine.

Hi Ladies, just checking in while my linens are in the washing machine. I am super tired today. I wanted to work till 6pm, but it just wasn't going to happen today. I usually work 10 hours Mon-Wed, 8 on Thursday, and 2 on Friday, but I took Wednesday off due to a flat tire, so I have hours to make up. I don't think it's going to happen this week .

Anyways, I was on Facebook earlier and read one of my other co-workers status, which stated that she was 38 weeks preggo and experiencing contractions . I shot over to her office to check on her...she was hurting and waiting for them to become closer. I am so jealous that she is going to have her baby soon. There were 6 preg women at my work. One of them work directly with me. She delived on May 20. Now another one is in the process of having her baby. I'm not sure when the others are due, but I pray I am NOT the last one standing . There is usually 2-3 preg women in my congregation at church. One of the sista's delivered right before I started to show. Now I'm all by myself (lol).

Well, I've ran my mouth enough today, so I will go.

Have a blessed evening ladies.

Jenny~I would be super annoyed at that too. I hate, hate, hate when people talk on cell phones at restaurants, that is my pet peeve. I don't want to hear your phone conversation while I'm dining, and I especially think it's rude to the others the person is dining with.

Amber~My sister and I were laughing at each other last night because we are both pregnant and both dripped dinner all over our maternity shirts. What is it about being pregnant and eating sloppy? My point is this: don't spend a lot of money on shirts unless you are going to buy Spray-n-Wash in bulk.

Melody~SNS means supplemental nursing system. I had to do it with Tucker because he was jaundiced too. You basically fill a syringe with breastmilk or formula and then there is a really small tube that comes out of the syringe that you put at your nipple or on your finger to feed the baby. I haven't heard back from Amy but I am guessing that her little one's mouth is too small to latch correctly right now. I have a pic of me using it but unfortunately, my bare stretchmarked belly is also in the pic so I won't be posting it as a visual aid.

That's awesome about your job situation and I am cracking up over what you do to people on their cell phones!

AFM~I had contractions all night last night. They were Braxton Hicks, up real high not down low like in labor, but they were painful; they kept waking me up. I kept thinking I just needed to go #2 but nothing ever came of that. I think I was dehydrated, my urine has been dark lately and I've been terrible about getting water in.

Worse than cell phones in public--cell phones in public bathrooms..eww..That's my pet peeve lol. I hate when people have these dramatic, personal conversations in the bathrooms at work...When we go to the pool I'm always the first one in, I have to coax brianna in..

I have a dr appt tomorrow. May discuss him stripping my membranes, anyone have any experience with that? I'm also going to ask to schedule my induction for friday 6/12... Really hoping that today will be my last work day

Tracy- I think I can call in to work so much because if I don't do my work, somebody else will. I just take phone calls. No guilt associated with calling in.

Tonia- how are the older kids adjusting to the new baby? I'm still really scared that Brianna is going to take it badly..

Cheri~No personal experience with stripping membranes but I hear it can be uncomfortable, like a rough internal exam. I am worried about Tucker adjusting to the change, too. Does Brianna understand you are having a baby? I wish Tucker did. I feel like I am just springing it on him because he can't comprehend what is going on before it happens. Makes me sad to think about sometimes, what he will go through emotion-wise. I just don't want him to feel left out or replaced. He's my punkin and he will always be special because he's the one who made me a mommy. Geez, nothing wrong with my hormones!

GL tomorrow at your visit, maybe it will get things moving for you or at least give you an "end in sight" induction date.
