You can remove my name from the list too... No heartbeat was found at my 9 week appt. I had a D&C on Friday. Very sad for the loss... Good luck to everyone and remember to be grateful for what you have.

Sorry to hear your news Kaisergirl.

Katy - congrats on the weightloss I read about on the other board - I haven't posted much there lately because I haven't had much to say about food and LC, but I still check in on all of you

AFM - I had a rough weekend -most of it in bed completely exhausted and yesterday exceptionally queasy and this time I'd even say nauseous for awhile - every smell set me off and I just couldn't get anything done or stay on my feet for long. I can't tell yet this morning if I'm going to be good this morning or not - I think getting up and moving so early is a key for me but I just don't always feel like it on the weekends after doing it all week.

Hope you all are doing well - Andrea thinking of you.
More later -

Andrea: I'm so thankful they were able to save your tube. A friend of mine had an ectopic pregnancy where the tube burst and she almost didn't make it. But, she did go on and have twins, boy & girl, who are now 4 years old. So please don't give up hope. I will be praying for a quick recovery.

Kaisergirl: So sorry about your news, it had to be devastating. You will also be in my prayers.

Amy: It sounds like you're in the depths of full blown m/s. Hang on - it's a long ride! I'm still not feeling 100% like myself. Friday night I had the worst headache ever. I think it may have been a migraine. I couldn't stand any light and just wanted to cry. Yesterday I rested alot after grocery shopping. But, I do consider myself very lucky and I am grateful for being pg.

Nik: Hope you're feeling well and were able to get some sleep!

Kaisergirl- I am so sorry

Andrea- Thank you for the update, I hope your recovery goes well and I am so happy they were able to save your tube.

Apparently when I am pregnant I have a VERY strong gag reflex, which often causes me to spontaneously empty my stomach in the toilet, this morning I threw up from blowing my nose! Ridiculous! But my hubby says I am a tough girl cause I don't actually feel sick to my stomach it's just a physical reaction, so I get sick, brush my teeth, get some coffee, eat breakfast and it's off to work I go it's weird to throw up and not feel sick. But it's better than really feeling sick all day.

Have a great week girls

Okay Gracie - I'm trying the beans for real this time - anything that will help. Just had some refried with cheese on top. We'll see how it goes because even though I'm not actually getting sick, this is miserable - especially at work.

Yup, I know about the work thing. I'm fine in the morning but after lunch from 1:30 til 4:30 is pure torture. I've only been nauseous a little today which is pretty good. I had Subway for lunch, trying to keep it somewhat healthy. Have you told your work yet? I haven't! I'm not really showing too bad yet plus I work with all men so they're pretty clueless about these things. I watch "Knocked-Up" on Friday and I was laughing hysterically because they called her into the office and told her they knew she was pregnant. Meanwhile, she was like 8 months pregnant and her belly was HUGE! My DH says that's gonna be me

Mel: I'm glad you don't get "sick" when you throw up. I actually read somewhere on-line that the majority of pregnant women throw up from brushing their teeth! The brush gags them - LOL! Is your shower getting close?

LOL- the first time I threw up was from gagging myself with the tooth brush..now I'm careful not to brush to far back. I have not ONCE thrown up due to M/S just gagging myself and eating food that Jacob didn't like and he told me FAST that he didn't like it! One of my showers is Jan 17th, I'm supposed to have one at work and a family one but not sure when they will be.

My work is all men too - but they're all fathers themselves so pretty aware - and we're a small company. I did tell my two bosses last week who have been personal friends for 10-20 years and it went very well - they were surprised but supportive and I feel a great weight off my chest with telling them. I'll let the others know when the right time presents itself. I wear big baggy sweatshirts most of the time anyway, so there's nothing to be seen for awhile anyway - except for me in my glass office looking green with my head in my hands - LOL.

Beans seem to have helped some - I'm so glad I leave at 2:30 though. It makes the day bearable - I couldn't take the long days when I was here past 6, it just didn't work. The nice thing about working for friends is they trust me to get my work done and have a fairly flexible schedule.

Hey Ladies. I am pregnant as well and was wondering if I could join the group. My due date it June 19th. This is my second pregnancy and I am feeling pretty good. I haven't had much morning sickness but I made up for that with my first pregnancy. I have a wonderful husband and a two year old beautiful baby boy. I currently work as a Registered Nurse on an open heart recovery floor. I only work a couple of days a month right now because of babysitting issues. I stayed home with my son for the first year and a half and then decided to go back to work. So I don't know what I will do after I have this baby. I am looking forward to having a place to discuss all the good and not so good things that come with pregnancy. Good Luck to everyone.

Freeman! I'm glad you're not experiencing overwhelming m/s. I too whined for about 6 weeks!!! It seems like I'm feeling better each day. My DD is May 19th so we're only a month apart. It's my 3rd, I have a DS (9) and DD (5).

Tonia: Congratulations!!!! My DD is both a handful and the joy of my life!

Amy: You're not whining, just venting! I totally understand how bad you feel with the m/s. Please feel free to talk about it all you want. Have the beans been working at all?

Mel: I laughed when you said Jacob didn't like what you ate! I remember when I got further along with my kids I would eat things to see/feel their reactions. Once you're well into your 3rd trimester start experimenting with things. One time I sucked on a lemon and I could feel my DS jump in surprise!

AFM: Knock on wood, but yesterday was probably one the better days I've had so far. I don't want to complain at all because I am very grateful but the m/s can get so uncomfortable! I weighed this morning and I think I've gained about 2 pounds. I swear on Saturday when I was laying down I felt a "flutter" too. I'm wearing maternity jeans today and I also feel like my boobs are huge. I read that this week the milk production starts so I guess it makes sense! Everyone have a great day.

And a "hi" from me too! Gracie that made me laugh about the lemon! I never thought of that before - how quickly do they experience what we eat?

The beans seem to help for a little bit - I just haven't gotten my act together to really follow her recommendations of being consistent with them as regularly as she says if still experiencing queasiness.

So yesterday on my way home from work and dealing with the bra return at Motherhood (they did let me exchange) I felt a strong craving for a really good hamburger. I decided to try the local "joint" in my neighborhood that I've never gone to (only lived here a year). So I went in and ordered a cheeseburger and fries to go and thought it was a bit pricey but was so tired I couldn't be bothered with the math. When I got home I saw that they had given me a double cheeseburger which must have been about a pound of beef! I barely ate half! But it was really good!

I still worry about getting enough protein in so when I have a craving for something that helps with that, I go for it.

I have my final appt with my RE Thurs this week - then I go over to the OB - so will be on regularly scheduled appts from there. Do they usually check the heartbeat at each appt with the doppler but just not do an ultrasound until later?

Okay - time to focus for work - more later -

Amy: From what I remember the baby would react pretty quickly to the food I ate. You'll have to try it - it's really funny! As for the OB appointments, they couldn't get my heartbeat until the 12 week appt. with the doppler so don't get worried if they can't find it. After that the nurse will take your blood pressure and use the doppler for the heartbeat at each appt. You will get a RX for the U/S where they can determine the sex and it's to be done around 18 weeks. After that, I didn't have anymore U/S until delivery - and that was only because my DS was breech. Now with me being 36 y.o. I don't know it that changes.

hi everyone!

I finally went to the dr, they've got my DD as june 9. That puts me at 11 weeks, and we were able to get the heartbeat with a doppler

Also-my morning sickness is almost gone I did however find out that I am anemic which explains my excessive tiredness/coldness. It's strange because I have been on atkins for a while (disclaimer- I am now eating whatever I feel like. due to the prev morning sickness.) I figured I would have loads of iron from all the meat.

Gracie - You may wind up having a few more ultrasounds - at least that was the case for a friend of mine who is also AMA (advanced maternal age - nice term eh?). But I know different docs have different procedures, etc. My docs do the ultrasound in office I believe so no Rx needed. I'm not sure I'm sticking with them though - not that I have a lot of choice in my area unfortunately - but if I go a few minutes in the other direction, then I do. I have investigating to do because I'm not too sold on them yet - well, I haven't even met the doctor yet and won't till next month and then I'll meet the other one a month later - but there are two more doctors on the delivery rotation and I'll never meet them - so I have a 50/50 chance of someone I've met a couple of times doing my delivery - not really my ideal. We'll see - plenty of time to decide, and I do know I'm getting cared for in the meanwhile.

I think it's unfortunately time for some beans refried with cheese...

Don't feel like a whiner. It is a miserable feeling to have ms. I had it really bad with my first pregnancy and it was awful. Hope you get to feeling better. It's nice that our due dates are close Have a good day.

Freeman: Thanks, I still get VERY tired at work though in the afternoon. Right now I could take a big ol' nap but I still have 3 hours left - WAAAHHH!!

Amy: My practice has 5 or 6 doctors and any of them could be delivering. The interesting thing is, when I had DD, I rarely even saw the doctor. He would check in and see how far I was dilated but the nurse did everything else. Actually, a nurse delivered DD because the doctor had been in and everything was fine ( I was in labor for 12 hours) and then I had the incredible urge to push. They told me not to but I couldn't help it, I felt like I had to push her out! The doctor ran in and my DD was already out!

Tonia: Girls are so much fun! I was used to picking out boys clothes which don't really offer much in different colors/styles. Once I had DD it was a blast to pick out her clothes. Little pink dresses, barrettes, slippers.....much more fun! Your DH is gonna melt too when she's born. My DD has my Dh eating out of her hands and she's only 5!
