Good morning Everyone!
Anybody heard from Angela? I wasn't sure if I needed to update the list. I didn't find anything in yesterday's thread. I turned over this morning in bed with some weird lower abdomen pains. It wasn't time to get up, so I hugged my other pillow and went back to sleep. It was still there when I got up and has been off and on since I got up. It is not really sharp pain, but it isn't a constant ache either. I wasn't sure if it was my body doing a "growing pain" adjusting to my newer size (this week I am officially out of all normal clothes). Or is this something I should worry about and give the doctor a call. I haven't had much since I got to work, so maybe it is going away. It just really had me startled his morning. BBL Edited to Add: I feel it when I get up out of my chair, when I lean forward or lean back. Sounds like a muscle ache, but I can't think of anything I did to pull a muscle. And I only feel it on my left side, near where my hip meets my lower abdomen. Last edited by karatejen; 07-23-2004 at 05:06 AM.. |

Morning mommies!
Hey Jen, 'Course, I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like you're having perfectly normal "round ligament" pain. The ligaments connecting everything in your lower abdomen (uteris, hips, groin, etc.) stretch throughout the pregnancy. Ligaments are hard to stretch (think of a sprained ankle). It doesn't feel like a cramp or a contraction, it feels a little sharper and more specifically located than those, and can last for several hours, up to a day or two, off and on (that's the best description I can give you about how it feels on me). If it doesn't go away by the end of the day, or tomorrow, or if it gets worse, then it might be something else. Hope that helps. BTW, I don't think Angela had posted yet (unless I missed it too). Cheers, LizzyD

Anybody else got a different take on this weird pain? I just I am just overly concerned because it is Friday and it is, of course, harder to get medical attention on the weekend than it would be to see the doc today. |

Good Morning Mommies-
I was off yesterday - We went to Kennywood (a local amusement park). We had a pretty large group of people and we had a wonderful time. Jessica just had a blast- she really is a little daredevil. Wendy- How is your grandfather? Glad husband got an offer - has he made a conter offer? Miss Gigi- I also have horrible veins and it is such a pain to give blood. Nicole- Sorry about your grandfather- for him.Jeanie- I am so sorry about your losses. Stacy- Cassidy is a sweetie!!! She is getting big! Jen- Sorry no help here- you might just call the doctors office for peice of mind- that is what they are paid for! I am glad it is Friday. I have a bday party tomorrow- and I hope to try to get something done with the nursery. We called the cable/internet company and they are going to move my dh modem downstairs- (this is what has been holding up the nursery - dh really does not want to give up office- LOL!!) So I want to clean up some stuff- The nesting instinct is alive and kicking- BBL!

The pain seems to be letting up a little. I am going to give a few more hours. If it keeps diminishing, I won't call the doc. But if I still feel the same later this afternoon, I'll give them a quick call. Thanks everyone! |

Hi Everyone -
TGIF!!!! Today we took cupcakes and goodie bags for Madison's class. Her 5th b-day is on Monday but we are keeping her out of school that day. DH's parents, brother and his family will be here and they are going to take Madison to the Circus Circus Adventuredome. She is so excited! I need to get her gift this weekend, so hopefully I can run over to Target and she will stay with DH! Need to clean the house tonight since they will be coming on Sunday and I don't have time tomorrow! We have a b-day party for one of Madison's classmates right smack in the middle of the day! Angela - Hope you can check in with us soon!!!!! Jen - Definitely sounds like stretching! LizzyD - Hi There! Kristen - Sounds like you had a fun day yesterday! My grandfather is doing well, thank you for asking. DH is waiting to here back from the Dallas office, however he has an interview this afternoon for the Phoenix lab as well. I definitely think Phoenix would be a better option for us as it is alot closer to our family! Sarah - Hi There! Chat with you later today! Wendy |

Good morning ladies...
Well, baby had turned head down at my appt. yesterday!! Hope he decides to stay there, since it's not at all comfortable when he turns now. Got scolded by the nurse because I had too many contractions and didn't call in to the on-call dr. She said more than 4 in an hour I should call or just go to L and D. I had about 12 in 2 hours!! She also said to drink a lot more water. I'm already drinking a LOT. Cannot imagine drinking a lot more, but I guess I'll try. Good thing I am not at work, so I can run to the bathroom all day. ![]() Hope you are all staying cool and comfy.....

Happy Friday All!
Jen I have had pain like that once or twice too, but I am not as far along as you...I wonder if it's ligament pain on me too? I wondered if I missed any news from Angela in the past couple of days...looks like not yet! Hang in there Teach! Keep cool! Wari: I hope your DD has a spectacular b-day! That sounds like fun (and those cupcakes don't sound bad either!) Hi Sarah and Kristen! Stacy's pic sure is cute! Not much new to report...I though m/s was on its way out, now it is making a comeback, but I am taking a lot less meds for it, and not so tired. I actually went jog/walking this AM! My muscles were getting sore from inactivity, I think. I had a job interview, but won't know how it went till next week probably. I didn't tell them I was PG on the advice of a friend who's a recruiter, but I feel so deceptive, especially since it's a small company. Oh, well. I'll check in later! Kelley

hi all! it's been a while since i've posted. time goes by sooooo slowly when you are ttc! as a reminder, i was on depo for six months and have now been of since June 15 (that's when my last shot was due). so technically since then is when i started ttc. i've read alot online that it can take up to 18 months to conceive after depo (average being 9 - 12 months). they also say it usually takes from 6 - 12 months just to get AF back. seeing all that puts a little damper on things! hopefully it will happen quicker for me. i have decided to test every couple/few weeks, just incase i'm pg and never got my AF. the last test i took (July 19) was negative. at least this way WHEN i am pg i will have some kind of timeframe. so then ... shortly after taking the test on July 19 i started spotting. the next day it was a bit heavier ... needing a mini in my panties, then back to light/no spotting on the third day. i'm not sure if i should count that as a light AF or not, but i will definately write it down. i would like to think it was a light AF, since my depo wore off on June 15, July 19 would obviously be about one month. who knows, i guess i'll just have to wait and see what happens next!
thanks for listening ... sorry so long!! (if anyone has some "getting pg after depo" stories, i would LOVE to hear them!!) |

Hi kidj4!!
I was on Depo, but had been off of it for awhile before I got pg. I had decided to switch to the pill about 2 years before I got pg. Then, I got sick from the pill, so I wasn't on any kind of birth control for about a year and a half before I got pregnant. We tried for 10 months before we conceived. I know how frustrating it is waiting month in and month out. Hang in there. ![]() |

Hi Mommies,
Let me see if I can post again without losing all my work. Jen, a few months ago I had a sharp pain in my right side, between my hip bone and my navel, that began in the wee morning hours and lasted until after noon. I called my midwife and she suggested that I get checked at the local clinic in case it was appendicitis. She said round ligament pain isn't often that long lasting and I know when I am having round ligament pain, this was definitely something else. Anyway, the doctor checked me out and said it was probably just trapped gas. I have never had gas pain last that long or stay in one place for so long. I also had that same pain for the first 15 minutes of my daily power walk for several weeks after. Now it's gone. Who knows but it's better to be safe and check with your doc. Wari, glad to hear your grandpa is doing better. Sarah, are you going camping this weekend? I have been wishing for cool mountain air all day. Kelley, sorry you are feeling poorly again. I know how frustrating it is when you think it's gone--and it's not! Kristen, you have way too much energy for a pregnant lady. I can't even imagine going to an amusement park. I can hardly go outside once a day. kidj4, are you enjoying your new boat? I didn't mean to sound so negative when you posted about it. Boat problems are my biggest headache on a daily basis but they can be lots of fun, too. Angela, I can't wait to hear about your beautiful little boy!!!! Where are you?????

ThininMex - the boat is great so far ... we've only taken it out once and it was fun. did a pretty good job of putting it in and out of the water (that's what i was worried about)! just put insurance on it yesterday, so now it will be a little safer to take it out! our boys are 3 and almost 2, so we probaly won't use it that much this year ... the ORIGINAL plan was to get one in about 3 years ... but this one sucked him!! boys can't pass shiny objects with for sale signs on them!!

Suzanne: Nope, no camping for us this weekend. I have GOT to stay home and get some stuff done. My house is looking like a royal pig sty. My mom and I are going out yard saling tomorrow for more baby stuff. Hopefully we can find some!
![]() Also- I was reading in my "What to Expect" book and it said that between weeks 22 and 26 you can get "stitch like" pains in your sides. It said they were normal, and attributed it to stretching. They said that exercising can aggravate the pain as well. |

Hello all!
It's been awhile since I posted.. It's hard for me to get to the computer early enough... Whomever does the update tomorrow, I'm due on 1/31/05! Had a first OB appointment that was a total nightmare. I should have run screaming, but I didn't... Just slunk away to OB #2. Thankfully, I really like him. I have appointment #2 this coming Tuesday. I read on a thread maybe last week about only being able to tolerate carby type items... I'm having this issue. I can't eat meat, and eggs totally make me ill. I'm trying to eat as best as I can, but have been living off of macaroni & cheese & spaghettio's. I'm hoping that I'll snap out of it soon. I'm getting really tired of eating terribly, and am getting to the point of not wanting to eat at all! Glad to hear that everyone is doing well. Hope to be able to post more often! Dierdre |

Thanks for the link, Jen. It sounds like what I'm experiencing; certainly the location, and it happens when I roll over in bed and today when I sneezed while driving! Owww! But it goes away quickly.
Kidj4: Good luck! Dierdre: I hear ya! You are due about a week and a half before me! i'm sad to hear you're still feeling poorly. Spaghettios sound great now! I know what you mean about carbs. I'm still tracking what I eat on Fitday (went from a weight loss thing to now making sure I'm getting enough nutrients) and my carbs are like 180 every day! Kelley |
