Pregnancy thread - Tues., 2/25

Well, I hate to start a pregnancy thread with bad news, but that's what I have today. My first appt. was today and I was SO NERVOUS. I have had a very unsettled feeling for a while now. Well, the baby, or babies (there were 2 sacs) stopped growing & there was no heartbeat or anything. So either I will miscarry on my own in the next day or so, or I will have a D&C on Thursday.

Surprisingly, I'm okay with it all and not too shocked. We'll get through this and then start baby-dancing again . If only I could skip the whole nausea part!

I'll keep lurking around here to see how everyone is doing, and then, with some luck, I'll be back soon!

So sorry Lisa! That is such a hard hting to walk through..been there more thanI like ot think of...
But then, this baby was concieved 2 weeks after a miscarriage sooooooooo....
We are snowed in (iced in) today here in the Dallas area. About 2 inches or so of ice and more forecast... theya re saying it is the worst road conditions since '78 and I remember that one..it took me hours to get 30 miles !

I am so very sorry to hear this news. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. ((((hugs)))). Please rest and take your time to heal both physically and emotionally, I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through, but I am thinking of you.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I'm comforted to see you have such a positive outlook and I hope I can be so strong if it happens to me.

Well, I've been lurking and "pining" here for several months now, and I just found out today that I'm preggers. This is my first pregnancy and I'm ecstatic, bewildered, happy and scared all at once. My dbf and I had just decided we wanted to start trying and it happened before we even "set out" to do it! (Ok, I'll admit we haven't exactly been careful with birth control since I quit the pill ) I have a birthing centre just a few blocks from here and will be paying them a visit this week.

I just returned from a week-long business trip where I had wine and coffee every day... I hope I didn't do any damage. I've also been in ketosis every day. I ate bread this morning but am STILL registering trace ketones! I guess I'll be stocking up on fruit and milk too. Man, am I going to miss ketosis! I've been low-carbing for a year now and am a little afraid of letting hunger get the better of me. OK, I've rambled enough. I look forward to hanging out with you ladies and Lisa, I truly hope to see you back soon. Take good care of yourself.

Thank you Marye, Kimberly, & Sylv - your warm thoughts are much appreciated. I'm a little freaked out about the whole general anesthesia thing, but once I get through tomorrow, I know I'll be okay.

Sylv - *CONGRATULATIONS* - I am so happy for you! Don't worry about what you have or haven't eaten thus far - your little baby is pretty self-contained right now. The wise women here can give you some wonderful guidance on maintenance eating, and I hope you have a very happy & healthy 9 months! Hopefully I will join you & be preggo again before your little one arrives.

If anyone is so inclined, please send positive thoughts my way tomorrow so that everything goes smoothly! Thanks!

Well good morning everyone !

Lisa i am so sorry for what happen to you and i pray that today is a good day for you .

Well a little update on me . I have been very sick the past week or so and have had to take tons of pills to stop contractions . It has been horiable . It also HURTS soooo bad when i stand . She feels like sheis going to fall out I went to the doctors today and was having contractions and everything and was told to go home rest and take yet another pill. But yet my doctor would not even check me . I was soooooo disappoited ! I could not belive he just sent me home while having contractions and with out checking me . Anyways I am heading to bed but i had not check in a while so i figured i better do so .
