Pregnancy question.....

Hello to all of you ladies who are execting!
I just found out yesterday that I am 3 weeks pregnant! WOOHOO!! I am 41 and a half and am praying I will carry to term. I have had 2 m/c's in the 4 years dh and I have been trying. My beta at 22 days past ovulation was 2254. I am using progesterone cream and prometrium.
My question to you all is how have you changed your low-carbing during your pregnancies? Are you just adding in more veggies and fruit but still eating the same amount of protein and fat? Or are you cutting back on the fats and upping the proteins? I have worked so hard to get these 68 pounds off I don't want to just pile them back on in addition to baby weight.
Thanks for any insight!
And congratulations to all of you! You are inspirational to me!
Cecilia

Hi....me again,
I just read bgoulas thread about this down the way.....sorry for asking again. You don't need to reply unless you have something else to add that didn't get said in her earlier post.....I promise to read past posts next time before I go and ask the same question.

Please, please, don't be sorry! We don't bite, I promise.

I'm not sure which post you read, or what answers were there, so if you have more questions, please just ask. My first pregnancy, I was incredibly good at just adding good foods and splurging every once in a while. I ate as much protein as I wanted and added grains... like fiber one cereal, oatmeal, healthy life bread.... and simple fruits... like strawberries, melon. I gained exactly 25 pounds and looked and felt great, if I might add. This time around, it's been much more difficult to control and I've already gained more weight. But, honestly, I only have myself to blame. I've "splurged" way too often.

Good luck to you and please keep posting. I truely understand your fear of gaining all the weight back. I know that fear is what kept me on track the first time. This time, I keep telling myself.. "well, I did it before", So it's been a little easier to fool myself. You can do it, I know you can!!! Low carb is the healthiest way to eat!!
