Pregnancy Thread - Friday, 2/7

Morning everyone... seems like quite a few of us took the day off yesterday (mentally anyway). If you were anything like me I was exhausted, nauseous and had a boarderline headache all day!!!

I don't know what it is, but my m/s has gotten worse since the OB put me on a new prenatal (Citracal). The directions on the vitamin say to take on an empty stomach, and as you all know, m/s is worse when your stomach is empty... So, I've even tried eating a cracker or drinking water to keep my tummy at bay, but with the vitamin it makes things tripply worse!!! This morning I've already thrown up 5 times!!!

I have a call into the OBs office to see if there is somthing else I can take cause this is killing me...

I've been extra tired too... but have had to be at work. I am SO looking forward to the weekend!!!

I made flight arrangements for next week to fly home and tell the family we are pregnant! We leave Thursday and come back Tuesday (3-days with each set). I'm still playing with ideas of how to tell them. So if you have any suggestions, that'd be great!

Well, I have to run to worship the porcelin god

Hope to see more of you posting today. This is a great place to share all of this with friends!!!

Take care...

Well last night was a very hard night ! My son went threw a sleep test . He is only 3 years old He had a horiable time and did not actrully get all the way to sleep till 2:40 am . He did sleep till they woke him up at 7 am . But of course i was up that whole time with him . To top it off the hospital was a 1 and half hours away so we are of course tired. We now have to get ready and go to a lunch in for hubbys work . His superviser retired last week so its for him witch means joe must show his face for atleast a few mins . Boy do i wish we didn't have to go Anyways I hope everyone has a great day and i will check in tonight or the morning .

Hello! Hope everyone is well. It is snowing quite a bit here. I didn't go in to work today, not feeling to good and thought a day of rest would do me some good.

GAPreg78 you could incorporate valentines presents into how you tell the folks. Like get a box of chocolates and put something like sweets from the sweet little baby that will be arriving on or around (due date).

Ok, question, my tummy has been very hard, and I don't think it is a braxton hicks contraction becaause it doesn't ease up, and I can feel the little guy still moving and they say they aren't able to move when you have a braxton hicks, so any ideas?

supportinghubby... I'm sorry you had a rough night. Hopefully everyone will get caught up on their sleep tonight.

ldybug... as for your tummy being hard this far along... I don't know. But I think I'd probably call your Dr. just to make sure there isn't anything serious going on. If the baby is still moving and it doesn't seem to be distressed... could it be constipation? I know I've read somewhere where that can cause the tummy to get hard (cause stuff is backed up and pressing hard on things)...??? I'm not real sure... Let us know what you find out. I'll be keeping good thoughts for you...

Well, I'm finally feeling better... I can't stand those new vitamins. (Still waiting on the OB to call back.)

Hi ladies,

Well I'm enraged. I told dh that I didn't want MIL to know about the pregnancy for another month. WELL HE TOLD HER !!!!! DH comes from a huge family and news travels like wildfire. MIL fusses so much I can't stand it. I HATE FUSS. This is our third child, but first birthchild and I can just see her fussing more than for our first two kids (adopted). I won't be able to take that. I'm only at 7 weeks! There's a 1/100 chance of the baby having a significant chromosomal abnormality! I wanted to wait until we did the prenatal screening at 12 weeks. UGHHHH !!!!!!

So that's my story today. Otherwise all is well. Nothing new to report.

Hope you're all well. Have a good weekend!

Hey All!!! Just a quick check in...

Doing okay although I've been pretty sick this week with the flu once again. This is the 3rd time since I've been preggo. It's almost as though my immune system has become extra weak with this one. I have a weak one to begin with so that's not good. UGH!!! But, it's also something that's been going around a number of times. They even closed 3 local schools to do a thorough cleaning because they each had no less than a 100 students out sick. They just keep giving it to each other over and over again.

As for the pregnancy we were a bit worried because I was severly dehydrated at the last appointment and they fussed at me to get in more liquids and I wasn't doing so good with the flu. And then the DH got sent on a last minute trip. So, I was so worried about what I would do with DD if I ended up in the hospital or something. But thank goodness I've finally been getting some fluids in and I'm starting to feel a bit better.

Anyway, that's pretty much it right now. I really should try to get some sleep. DD gets up pretty early in the morning lately.
Take Care!!!

Dawn
