WOOHOOO! A double bonus - I'm so excited to see a couple other people near my due date!! And other GA moms, too! SusieQ, I'm in Atlanta. In fact, I've been here most of my life (with stops in TX, CA, & FL ).

I really look forward to sharing the next 9 months with all of you!

Hey Reese and Lisa, have you started the nausea yet? I'm SO dreading it and SO hoping I'm one of the lucky ones that don't get nauseous.

SuzieQ, how was your morning sickness? Do you think lowcarbing helped? I'm feeling really good at 5 - 6 weeks, but I know it's still early. The prenatal vitamins are giving me a hard time though ... stomach ache for a few hours after taking it.

Have a great day you pregnant ladies!

Welcome all!
Nausea can be a result of low B vitamins and low carbing did help me alot..On the up side of it- experiencing mild nausea in early pregnancy may be a good thing...most miscarriages happen in people who have experienced no nausea...a sign that the hormones may be off...
I am expecting #8 in mid-June.

Marbel, I was one of the lucky ones, and I stress the word lucky. I didn't have morning sickness at all in my first trimester. I don't know if it was the low carbing or not. I mainly had bad headaches in the beginning, but I'm not gonna complain about that because I'd rather have a headache than throw up!

On the flip side, it seems that my nausea is starting up now. I am 25w3d. At my last checkup two weeks ago, my iron was 9.4, so I am trying to work on that and make the nausea go away too. I have another appt on Feb 6, and my doc said if my iron wasn't better I would have to go on supplements. The doc said to try to eat more red meat, so I can surely make that fit into a low carb lifestyle!

Other than that, everything has been great! And one other thing, my energy was great in the first trimester, too. From what I have been reading, I think that may be in part to low carbing too.

Susan

Ack! Today I'm feeling icky & a little nauseous . I hope it's just a relapse of a 24 hr. stomach bug we had go through the house last week. It simply CAN'T be m/s!!! Plus, I didn't get m/s until I was several more weeks along in my other pregnancies. Let's hope I feel much better in a day or two.

So Marye, did you experience symptoms any earlier with subsequent pregnancies? I definitely notice that I am sensitive to smells/tastes already. Yikes!

-Lisa (gotta keep taking those vitamins & keep my B vitamins up!)

Not too much nausea...but mostly nothing sounds good to eat.....and my breasts HURT. They hurt in the shower, and they hurt when I touch them.

I yawn alot more now than I ever have and I actually took naps this weekend which NEVER happens to me.....

Oh they all have been different..I have had M/S badly with some, not so badly with others, not at all with 1 or 2...early symptoms with some, not with others...with this pregnancy I had morning sickness badly for me, but since that cleared up it is hard for me to remember that I am pregnant. I DO fall asleep in the recliner while MArc is getting the kids to bed but I attribute that more to age (42) and lifestyle (busy!)
I think it is always different. Oh I meant to say in my last post thtaif you have trouble with vitamins take them last thing at night with a protein snack. By the time they cause trouble you are asleep!

Hi... I'm pregnant TOO!!

I apologize at first because I usually post under a different name, but I haven't told my friends or family yet (still to soon) and they come out here and know my screen name... So...

I suspected I was pregnant for a couple of weeks now, but did the official "test" this past weekend, and then to the doctor today... and CONFIRMED. I'm not 100% sure how far along I am because my periods are a little wierd... so I'm somewhere between 6-8 weeks along.

My morning sickness has been AWFUL!!! But I heard somewhere that m/s is a sign that you'll have a healthy pregnancy because it means your hormones are fluttering around like they're supposed to... (I hope so)

I'm so scared that I'm going to lose the baby... We (my husband and I) NEVER planned on having kids, in fact, because he has two of his own, we kind of didn't want anymore. But then it happened, and we both are really excited!!!

Anyway, I'm trying to be really good food wise, but its kind of hard... because when I'm sick, I need something that will settle my stomach (cracker, toast, etc.) but the rest of the time I'm trying to stick to fruit and veggies, and an occasional bowl of oatmeal.

I know I'm overweight now (175) but I am really hoping NOT to gain that much weight... But you know what... I am NOT going to let it bother me... the baby's health is the most important thing here!!!

Well, I hope everyone keeps posting... this is a great thread!!!

Take care...

EDD: Sept 15-25
