Katy - I don't know what they'll do about my meds. I'm supposed to call and tell them I started, so I guess they'll set me up for a f/u appt That's interesting about your LP, and makes me feel a little less broken Did you have LPD? or were you taking the Clomid for other reasons?

Amber - We're taking a break for mental reasons. I have read that Clomid can thin your uterine lining over time, but I don't think that would be an issue after just the one cycle. I just figure that we want to be as healthy as possible in the cycles that we're medicating - otherwise there's no point in putting my body and my poor DH through it - and we're certainly NOT going to be at our peak health next week . I also think that it'll be easier mentally to deal with the ups and downs after we've started our certification classes. Exciting about your appts! I'd be ok with getting in earlier, too Can't wait to get back and read about your first PG week

I'm getting ready to leave work If I don't get to check in before we leave just know I'll miss you ladies this next week Try not to have too much fun without me

Kat - I'm going to miss you while you're gone!!! I hope you have the most wonderful, relaxing vacation ever! Maybe you'll find an internet cafe and check in with us. Okay, don't do that! Just enjoy yourself and we'll see you soon!!

It's raining here today and it's wonderfully relaxing. I'm just laying around watching my tivo'd shows that I'd missed over the last week. I have to return to my job on Monday and I'm not looking forward to the amount of work that has surely piled up on my desk while I've been away.

Okay, back to vegging around...

Today was an alright day eating wise. I feel that I over ate but it was all legal except for one half a french fry and a small bite of white rice. I don't think it will effect my weight.I ran into an old friend and she showed me around town. Her son and Jonny play so well together! We let them play at McDonald's. and then we took them to the middle school playground and we chased bunnies with them (the bunnies here are so big they look like cats and I now understand that they have tons of babies they are definitly OVERPOPULATED here!!)

Christina - I'm sure you burnt off that 1/2 fry and bite of rice chasing those bunnies. It sounds like a lot of fun actually! Are they semi-tame being around people like that?

Vegging is going well.

I think I may have figured out why I've been so 'sick'. I honestly believe that I am homesick. There's no one here that I am 'close' with, my husband is away, and I'm left to deal with all the stresses myself. I don't know how much more of this lifestyle I can take...

Christina - good job on avoiding that brownie. They are one of my favorite desserts ever. Mmmm....

I'm sorry about being homesick. I couldn't even imagine how hard it must be to be in a new country and away from your husband at the same time. You are a very strong woman to be able to get through this. Hopefully you'll be able to meet some new women there to bound with to help you fill the void. You always have us here too. Plus your focus on WL and getting healthy is probably a good thing to help pass the days while DH is away.

Today has been good for me. I watched hours of t.v. and went to dinner with some friends. I feel great except I'm a bit tired and VERY gassy. Tomorrow we have dinner plans too and we'll be in a much quieter setting. It's crazy that I'm already nervous about gas issues.

It's been quiet in here today. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday. I'll see you all tomorrow.

Aw, hon I am so sorry. I cannot imagine what you're going through! How much longer does he have or is he career? I bet you make friends with someone in your workout group that you can hang out with! We are here too! Lots of hugs for you!!!!!!

Katy - If it makes you feel better, I can't buy more than 7 desserts for the week b/c I'll just eat them all in one binge. At least if I only have 7, I know that when they're out they are out and it usually helps me spread them properly through the week. On a side note, did you keep temping after your BFP?

Katy: LOL!!! Thank you!

I can't believe I MISSED JULY! Sorry to be away so long!

Yeah, Kat. I want to read your medical charts. What's going on in there? Is it a huge problem that your LP is so short? Have you had an HSG? And what's GAD? I'm so lost... I think taking a month off clomid is a good thing. I did three months in a row, during the summer so I didn't have to work while taking it. I was a CRAZY woman, and it drove me UP THE WALL! (And everyone around me.) Plus, once you've taken clomid, I think it can have a residual effect. You may just have a spontaneous implantation w/o meds next month! I think taking time off is VERY HEALTHY-good for you!

I just KNEW we'd have a BFP with this recent crop of killer charts! Congrats, Amber! I understand how you're cautiously optimistic, but I am all-in excited for you! I think that when we've worked so hard and waited so long, we have to celebrate every success. You got pregnant! Even if the worst happens, the pregnancy is still a major accomplishment. It gives me hope, and makes me smile. Just know that while you're dealing with your stew of emotions, you have friends supporting you the entire way, no matter where this journey takes you.

Christina: I'm sorry you're lonely. Stick with us, keep us updated, and hang in there. Before you know it, Germany will be home for you. Until then, put on some Bruce Springsteen, watch "America's Got Talent," and remember that you're loved. Trying to learn your cycles better in preparation for DH's return sounds like a productive way to keep your mind active. And-keep studying for the GED. There's nothing like studying to make take up HOURS of your day.

Andrea: I totally know what you mean about TTC during the school calendar. For the first three years, we were very careful about timing. After awhile though, we decided to take it when it came. I think that next time, I'll keep the calendar in mind more carefully. Every teacher wants a May 31 baby! I know it will happen for you in the perfect timing. Right now is PRIME babymaking season for teachers, so I'm sending out all my positive vibes for this next cycle.

WOW! I need to post more often so that I don't have to write so much!

The concert was fantastic. Etheridge and her band are the most talented musicians I've ever seen. I haven't been to a bunch of live concerts, but I am never disappointed by their amazing skills. My friend was VERY impressed (especially with the hot Canadian guitarist, Phillip). After the concert, we went back to the hotel and chatted until FOUR AM! The next day, we went bargain shopping at Goodwill and had Dim Sum in Indy. She drove back to Louisville, and I came home...

Yesterday afternoon, I flew through the house like a mad woman, cleaning and scrubbing and straightening. Someone who is building the same house we have came by for a tour of the floorplan, and I wanted our house to look like a model. I can say that for the most part, it looks spectacular. There are plenty of finishing touches to go over, but the lack of clutter and dust encourages me to spend the rest of my summer vac. feathering my nest. Of course, the buyers loved the house. DH and I felt very proud of our home, and our hard work. Now I'm going to be a total witch about my family keeping thing clean!

Starbucks smoothie: Banana Mocha Vivanno: Not the greatest. I'm not a fan of banana smoothies, and the banana flavor was strong on this one. It wasn't sweet enough for me, either. Of course, I didn't want more sugar. If I ordered this again, I might ask for a shot of SF vanilla to be included. It's a great alternative to a latte if you're out with friends at Starbucks, but of course it's not LC.

Exciting baby news: I have a checkup on Tuesday. I'll be posting an update to my baby page; and I'll provide a fresh link at that time. However, the baby was VERY active on Thursday. In the morning, I was rushing around with anxiety about cleaning and getting to my concert in time. So, the baby was responding to my adrenaline, I'm sure. Then, the vibrations at the concert really got the little bean moving. It's so cool to feel the rolling and the fluttering inside!

Thanks Nik! I'm glad you're back. It sounds like you've been productive with the house cleaning. Maybe you're inspired by some early nesting. I'm glad you enjoyed the concert and trip. It sounds really fun. Are you feeling better now that you're in the second tri?

Blah blah blah....I'm bored. Where is everyone? We leave in an hour for a BBQ, which I'm excited about.

I hope you're all having a wonderful Saturday since you're not here bored with me!

I did for maybe a week. I was really scared of m/c so if I had a day when my symptoms were MIA, I would test just to put my mind at ease. I completely stopped after I read that eventually your body will even out and not have high temps as much. I didn't want to scare myself and I was sick of setting an alarm so early just to temp. I did borrow a doppler from someone I knew and I did get a little obsessive with hearing the heartbeat for reassurance until I felt movements from him daily. I used one from babybeat and it started working at about 10 weeks.

Glad you liked the concert, she's a Kansas girl! Can't wait for your baby update! I didn't realize you could feel Bean moving!!!! Yay! There is nothing cooler than that! I loved the strong kicks too later in the pregnancy.

Not much going on here, I did more massages this week than I have since I quit the spa. I'm pooped out! But I made some great $$$ and I hope I get even busier!

Yeah money! Good job, Katy, and hopes that it continues. I know in these times, we can all use any help we can get. I'm just ignoring the bills that keep coming in...they'll be there later.

Love, love, love Etheridge! I got hooked after she released her single "Angels will Fall" when I was in college. After that, I went back and bought her old albums and appreciated her range even more. The first time I saw her in concert, I was blown away by her talent. Really, anyone can sound great on an album, but if someone sounds BETTER in person, you know you're in the presence of musical genius. It was really inspiring and powerful, especially her encore performance of "Piece of My Heart" by Janis Joplin. Phenomenal!

Amber: How are you feeling? It's early, but I had food aversions before I even got my BFP (granted, I put off POAS for a long time-I remember driving everyone here crazy!) I have been feeling some movement for quite sometime. Yesterday was the 14 week mark, when doctors say you're "allowed" to feel your baby, so I'm a bit more open with it than I was a month ago. Funny, though-it feels the same, but stronger. And it feels nothing like gas.

Re: Temping: I wasn't temping this cycle. After the spotting, though, I considered buying a whole mess of cheap HPT's to test whether I was STILL pregnant. Then I realized that the tests would probably not be sensitive enough to tell me anything, and that the HCG decreases gradually, not abruptly, if pregnancy is lost.

Katy - thanks for the tips. I didn't realize that they would eventually level out. I'll probably temp tomorrow morning for my last time since it will be 18dpo and then stop doing it.

Nik - I'm not having any aversions yet. I'm fatigued, my breasts are achy, and I have on and off cramps but that's it. I have noticed that I seem to get hungrier faster between meals but that may be in my head. I seriously can't believe you're already 14 weeks. How far were you pregnant when you took the HPT? It seems like just yesterday...haha. Any mother's intuition about the gender yet? I know before you were focused on girl names but I wasn't sure if you had a stronger feeling now that he/she is getting so big.

I think I tested at 19 DPO, but it was technically cycle day 61, since I o'd late!!! I can't believe I'm in the second trimester, either. SO MUCH TO DO! I'll try to catch up later, but I may miss you all until tomorrow.

very quick drive by...still hadn't started my new plan, too lazy to go to the grocer, maybe next week.
Eli is 3 weeks old tomorrow and his color is coming in so beautifully, he's also trying and almost succeeding in lifting his head. I wish time would tick by just a tad slower....
I didn't read much, but scanning I see that Amber is BFP, Congrats and I'm very happy for you. One by one, everyone's getting the desires of their heart, so don't lose heart those who are still waiting for their blessing....Lots of love to everyone

Hey Dessa! Little Elijah is so cute... I love his curly hair! I have a question for you... when you took the Geritol Tonic the month you conceived, did you take it in place of your normal vitamin, or in addition to it?

No, I didn't have LPD. The doctor said I wasn't ovulating. When I was charting there were months I did not ovulate at all but AF would still show. Then there was a month when I ovulated but my temps went immediately back to coverline (weak O maybe?) and then AF came as scheduled. She basically thought I may have been O'ing, but they were weak O's with eggs that weren't fully ready to be fertilized I think. It will be interesting/scary when we are actively ttc again because my dr. retired so I have to start over with someone. I need to get my records requested so my new doc can see what was done.
