Hi Ladies...another day down. I do have good news- I weighed today and I lost 7lbs since I started back up! woohoo- gotta love the water whoosh!

Christina- I am feeling it might happen before he leaves.... I can't believe it takes that long for mail!

Amber- yeah, you need a special peeler but it is so worth it! I bought mine at Walmart- it was a three pack of different peelers. I hope the storm is passing you by...

Tink- sounds like you are our official TTC info girl with all the stuff you have been reading etc!! Good luck!

Kat- sorry about the chili craving! hehe Sit down and do some planning. Get out some yummy LC recipes and make a list. You know there are tons of great recipes out there! Are you going to cookouts? What kind of recipes are you looking for?

Andrea- your menu looks great!! KUTGW!

Gracie- We watched Last Holiday with Queen Latifah. I am a big fan or hers and LL Cool J . It actually gave me the lift I needed...a bit motivational! I just love hangin out with the kiddos watching movies. My son gets to pick a day to do what we call a "Benny Day" where it is all about him. He said he wants to stay up late and watch movies Good luck with your weekend! It sounds like we are all struggling with the upcoming holiday weekend!

Mel- hope you survived school! How are you feeling?

Nik- how are you doing? hangin in there?

Dessa- Eli for me!

to anyone I missed or any lurkers

My menu for today:
B- 2 eggs, lite keilbasa
S- iced coffee w/cream
L- 3 chicken wings coated with parm. cheese and tarragon
S- iced coffee w/cream
D- a silly hot dog, green bean, cheese casserole some silly woman posted I mixed freanch green beans, monteray jack cheese, cut up hot dogs and a couple squirts of LC ketchup- topped with shredded parm cheese. Baked for about 20 minutes. It was darn good!!

A bit too much sodium today. I will try to drink more water tomorrow to counteract it.

Have a good night everyone!

Belle - mmmm...hotdog casserole. You girls are making yours way fancier than I ever made mine. Thanks, the storm did pass quickly. We're getting these short bursts of bad weather and then the sun pops out for a bit.

Christina - sorry about the slow mail. Don't worry too much though because the OPK will show you that you're about to O and then temping will confirm that you caught it. You could try drinking green tea or taking mucinex if you need assistance with the CM (since you were waiting for the preseed too). FF will give you a nice red line tomorrow or the next day to show you that you O'd. It's fun when that happens. Oh, and I LOVE Lipstick Jungle. It was my favorite new show from last year. Can't wait for it to start again. Everything seems to be starting at the end of September.

Today's menu:
B: cereal, fruit
L: beef chow mein
S: protein bar
D: bbq chicken pizza
D: fruit, milk

I moved my JC WI back 2 days so I'm out of dessert. I had plenty of other food items to carry me through but no way do I skip my dessert EVER. So those are being replaced with fruit. I figure it's healthier for me. Plus I was back to siggy weight this morning. I'm hoping that I see a new low tomorrow.

Hey all-I'm hangin' in there. Today was the best day yet. I'm just too tired to keep up with my homelife very much. I need to be out the door in nine hours and 45 minutes. I'm definitely needing more than eight hours sleep, so I need to be going to bed, like NOW.

Christina: Hooray for being back on track! We all have our hard days. My biggest challenge is the weekend. During the week I have a routine but on the weekend it seems like a free-for-all!

Katy: I hope your feeling better, take some Advil! Are you anywhere close to Pittsburgh? I could use a massage!

Nik: Did you get enough sleep? Are you able to sleep through the night? I know with my pregnancies I was up 2-3 times a night to pee. My babies rested right on my bladder!

Belle: 7 pounds! That's awesome Are you in the Christmas challenge? Your weight right now is my goal! Your body obviously likes LC! I also love having movie night with the kids. The last time was about 2 weeks ago and we watched Nim's Island. It was good but I fell asleep before it was over

Amber: I am also a reality junkie! My DH gets all pissy over it too. He says just watching it decreases my intelligence - LOL! My faves are Rock of Love, I Love Money, Celebrity Fit Club, Real World/Road Rules Challenge, Biggest Loser, Survivor, and The Hills. I have been known on a rainy Sunday to hang out all day and watch a whole season of America's Top Model too!! Actually The Hills is getting on my nerves because is it so scripted anymore. BTW, is your weigh-in today? I'm going to weigh on Friday.

Amy: I'm excited for you! Everything sounds very promising. I'll be thinkin' about you over the weekend - good vibes to you!

Andrea: Have you tried the scale yet? Just curious to see if you lost or gained. I think your menu looks great.

Kat: I am going away for the weekend so I'm also trying to plan ahead. I'm thinking of doing everything on the grill. Burgers, ribs, hot dogs, chicken, and maybe making a cucumber, tomatoe, and red onion salad. I figure breakfast will be eggs, and some pork by-product! We can do this! My worry really isn't the food, it's the "Miami Vice's" !!!

Dessa: Prayers for you! Your body just went through one heck of a change! Give yourself a break! Take it slow and day by day you'll feel more like your old self.

My Menu:

B: 3 slices bacon, 3 eggs, coffee
L: 2 hotdogs
S: SF Jello w/ whipped cream
D: yellow squash w/ butter, chicken salad
S: 2 mozzerella cheese sticks w/ pork rind breading and maybe some sauce.

water: 70 oz

I had a lot of energy today. I washed all the sheets and blankets. Really made my bed (it's been forever ) cleaned the living room and dining room. Now I just really need to get to unpacking the boxes...

Amber - do you think mucinex or robitussin would be better? got my red line today Do you know when it starts back up? Gotta get my Kirby fix

Gracie - the weekends are always hardest for me. I always seem to fall asleep during movies too drives hubby nuts

Christina: Good job on getting back on track! I hope you are enjoying your time with DH. It's worth it! Happy birthday Jonny! I can't believe it's been only a year...this diet has been truly life changing for me, and the pregnancy happened rather quickly in the broad scheme of things. Time trying before LC: about 5 years. Time trying with LC: about 9 months (which is, btw, considered NORMAL fertility!!!!!)

Katy: I'm so happy your business is booming! Have a great time, will you?

Mel: I'm glad you're excited. I can't wait to hear how your appointment goes! I'm glad you're back at school and can talk with us more-and snack less. Just wait-you'll get intolerably hungry soon if you haven't already!

Gracie: Thanks for the reminders. I hit the computer earlier today so that I had enough mental energy to actually respond! I have to get up every 3-4 hours, so that's not too bad. I can usually get by with only two trips a night. Unfortunately, my second is around four, which is too close to my waking time for me to get much sleep before the alarm sounds.

I had a GREAT eating day! I have been making a double smoothie for breakfast in the morning, which I can sip until around 10:30 before it runs out. That has eliminated my morning snack while providing lots of great protein and fat. For lunch, I had spinach, SF pork barbecue, and colby cheese. I took a yogurt, which I had for my after school snack. If I can keep this up, I'll start feeling AWESOME in no time! When I really think about it, I am getting PLENTY of carbs to keep me out of ketosis. There's no reason to have sugar...gimme some whole wheat bread instead!

I'll talk to you ladies soon!

Hey ladies. How come when you set a goal it seems that your weight loss slows? Is it just because you get more impatient and want to make progress towards your goal or do we actually stop losing weight??? I guess I can't complain since I was down another pound today. One more until I'm in the 230s. Can't wait!

Belle - sorry for the bad mood. I hope the shower helped and you got some needed R&R. And AWESOME job again for the WL!!

Christina - glad you're back on track already. It seems that when you mess up or make a less than perfect choice, you get back on the wagon very quickly. That's always a good thing. OMG, I need my Kirby fix too. He was so hawt!! I believe it starts back up on September. Everything seems to be starting the last week in Sept. actually. As for the meds for the CM, I'm not sure what works best. I haven't personally tried any of them. I have plenty of CM, not necessarily EWCM, so I've never tried. I've read lots about them and they both seem to get good reviews. Definitely keep us posted if you try something.

Nik - OMG your menu today just made me drool. I love BBQ, smoothies, cheese, yogurt, mmmmmm..... I'm so glad you're feeling better. You deserve to feel like a billion bucks from here on out. Thanks again for being here for all of us.

Mel - I'm glad you're feeling better too. It probably helps to be back on a some what normal schedule after being off for the summer. Do you feel settled into your new school? Any mother's intution on the gender of your baby?

Kat - where are you? Sending positive thoughts your way!

Gracie - hehehe...glad I'm not alone on my mindless entertainment choices.

Katy - sorry for the induction flu. It's Wednesday so hopefully you'll see some relief tomorrow.

Andrea - still thinking of you and wondering how TBL diet is going.

Okay, I have WI tomorrow. I had to push it back 2 days this week due to conficts in my schedule. I believe I'm down either 2 or 1.5 since last week. I needed 2.8 to hit the 30 pound marker so I'll be shy of that tomorrow (probably). I'll keep you all updated of course. I was thinking of keeping my WI on Thursdays for a few weeks but then realized that this holiday weekend is going to be tough so I'm going to go next Tuesday instead. I want the WI sitting right there in my face to keep me on track. No excuses. Gotta get to my mini-goal.

See you all tomorrow.

Nik - DH won't be home until Sept. 5th. Sometimes I think the Army really sucks, but then I get over it I can't believe the difference LC made. That's insane! I hope to follow in you fottsteps soon

Belle - Hope you have a better day today.

Amber - My secret to getting back on track quickly... Step on the scale! I hate seeing it go up. My little binge was partially due to the scale not moving. I went from 232 to 233 when I drank the Crystal Light. then I kinda got stuck.

I really want to be 229.9 by the time DH gets home but I don't see it happening (8 days away). I'm currently 237 which is mostly water weight (I'm hoping) and AF is due a few days before he comes home so I'm hoping the whoosh fairy will visit.

I'm posting up these pictures that were in my journal at the request of a certain someone in here This is me last week around 232 -233lbs.

Christina - Can you send some of that unpacking and cleaning energy over here, please Don't get too bogged down in what number shows up on the scale before DH gets home. It's better to be healthier every day and at a slightly higher number than to crash and burn or make yourself sick Besides, whatever number is on the scale, you look marvelous!

Dessa - sounds like you're on the right track! KUTGW

Tink - hypno-fertility sounds really cool! How'd you find it? I'll have to check out that book, too. GL this cycle and KUP!

Amber - You're so close to the 230's, you'll be there before you know it. Can't wait to hear your official WI tonight! I think having the next one be Tues right after the holiday will def. help keep you on track Dr. Phil's right, I guess (<stomps like beligerent child> ) I'm going to try to do some menu planning today so I can get to the groc tomorrow-ish cause we're going to an all-day thing at a friend's on Saturday, so I've got to be prepared. Also have to account for some extra alcohol cals without letting my nutrition suffer. Why do I suddenly feel like I'm walking a balance beam

Andrea - glad BL is going well for ya! Your menu looks yummy. KUTGW!

Belle - 7 lbs dang chicky, that's awesome! KUTGW Sorry you had a rough day yesterday and sending you lots of hugs and positive vibes for today. Is your Bday tomorrow or is that just when you're celebrating (sorry if you've already said it, you know how my brain cells like to abandon me at important times )

Nik - great work these last few days can you feel a difference in your energy level? KUTGW!

Gracie - that salad sounds yummy! (but so do those Miami Vice's <bad bad, stay away>) Is there a LC alternative drink that you like - I'm on a rum or vodka in coke zero or Diet Dr. P kick. You're right we can do this!

Mel - can't wait to hear the next update from the doc

Katy - hope you're feeling better. Hope you've just got the induction flu and not something more sinister (we're fighting the yucks over here ) glad that business is booming Keep rubbing those bods, girl

Well, I woke up yesterday morning sick as I could be, with blisters starting on my dang tongue and going down my throat My eating wasn't very good, just because I have zero energy, but I also didn't eat too much, cause it hurts too bad. The ice cream's officially out of the house now, tho, cause it felt good on my throat. Today I'm not giving myself a pass to eat junk. I'm going to try sipping on some ice water and cold tea and eating soft but still LC food. AF came Tuesday night, so at least that factor won't be an issue this weekend. I'm gonna plan some menus tonight when I get home so I'll be ready for this weekend (I'm willing this bug to be gone when I wake up tomorrow morning - send me some wellness vibes, please )

We've almost made it to the weekend, ladies. Hope you're all doing well

Katy: Great job on the loss! I'll race you to onederland!

Mel: I was the same way when I was pg, if I didn't eat I'd start to feel sick. Is this your first? Any names picked out yet?

Kat: It sounds like you have strep throat. Does your tongue look like a strawberry? That's always a sure sign of strep. Take care of yourself! What are some good LC drinks? I usually drink light beer. On my first try at Atkins, probably over 10 years ago, I drank bacardi and diet coke. I'm not sure if I can handle the hard stuff anymore, LOL~

Christina: You look great in your pics! How tall are you? Your tummy looks really good! I wouldn't worry too much about the number on the scale, mine can fluctuate up to 4-5 pounds in one day. Especially before Aunt Flo !!!

Amber: I agree, as soon as I set my Christmas goal I haven't lost a single pound! WTH? The only thing I know I've changed is drinking a little bit of diet pepsi. I'm also struggling with the water. It's not as hot here as it was so I'm just not as thirsty!

Belle: Hope your having a better day today.

Nik: Your menu sounds wonderful. I'm sure your baby is happy with those choices. What has been your biggest craving so far? With my DS it was pie and with my DD it was ice cream!

I'm not going to weigh until tomorrow because I'm struggling getting in enough water. I had a big diet pepsi last night while I worked our church festival. It rained the whole time but luckily I was in a covered booth working the birthday wheel. Tonight I may go shopping, there's lots of bargains at JCPenney. My mom got a $26.99 shirt for $1.00
