Odd question about the monthly

Has anyone noticed their periods getting shorter while low carbing and losing weight? I'm so sorry for this being TMI but of course this is a weekend and I can't call the doctor till Monday so I am hoping someone else has been in the same boat. 2 weeks ago I started on time but the color was more brown instead of red. Last week I finished and then yesterday I started again. This time it is red but it is really light. Any clue what is going on and if this happend to anyone while they were losing weight. Thanks, and again sorry for the tmi.

hi there! I'm the queen of TMI...I just started lc and noticed things were a bit different for me as well. Not shorter, but just kind of...different. Have you checked with your doctor? I was on a brutal liquid diet in my late teens, lost a ton of weight very fast, and at that time experienced super-short periods, with some of the same symptoms too.

they eventually regulated again and all was normal.

Thanks, I saw the doc and he said that it is normal for things to get messed up while losing weight but once I decide to maintain that things will go back to normal.

I know that when I started to lose some weight, that I noticed fewer and lighter periods. I was really scared, because I'm only in my twenties (27). But my doctor said that it was ok, that this was happening. She also said that woman who want to lose a lot of weight can have this problem, too.
