Yeah, Belle, let us know how things are going!

Nik~Can you believe your little one and Tucker will be less than a year apart! Talk about putting it in perspective! Oh, and he's in the 98th percentile for height so maybe that's why he looks so big. We went to a wedding this weekend and he got all kinds of attention from girls!!!! He's breaking hearts already!

I'm having the blues, but I'll be ok, I don't know if it's hormones or I'm having a legitimate reason to be this way....

Hoping all is well with everyone. Wow, the year's almost halfway over. I'm eating a lot of fruit and salads which is great. I have a better time during the summer eating light, b/c of the heat, and it's even more now. I'm actually craving a bowl of fresh fruit typing this. I"m staying away from white flour and sugar now. My OBGYN actually told me to stay away from them when I first became pg, anyway. Just some SF pops to beat the heat.

But, those pork ribs sound mighty tasty too, Mel.

HAHA I just came on to see what everyone was up to and glanced at my post from yesterday real quick and relized i should have looked at it before posting. My nephew was trying to 'help' me type but I didn't notice he had actually reached the keyboard.

I've decided that once I get to Germany I'm going to go back to Atkins. I did much better on Atkins and it's much easier for me. SB gives me too many options. Fruit tends to cause cravings and I find myself slipping up much more.

We're going to Jonny and I's first Red Sox game on Wednesday. I'm so excited!!!

Christina- I loooooovvveeeee all those pictures! Jonny is a handsome fella! I still can't believe you are going to Germany! When is the official date? On a funny note, my DD is currently dating a boy from Germany. He is over in the US for a year. He is a bit older than I would like but he is really sweet. It is a very new relationship. His broken English is adorable! Can you tell I am a sucker for foreign accents?! It sounds like you have a good plan on getting back to Atkins. We will be here to help you get on track. It will be interesting to see how different the foods are over there. Hey, all else fails, sauerkraut and sausages! HAHA- sodium overload!!

I keep popping in trying to catch up on posts but then something comes up...now DD called and have to pick her up. Will BBL promise!

August 7....or sooner slightly possible.
To all who are mommies....when did you start back your woe? It's on the backburner now, but I want to get a game plan ready..I might not be able to nurse, and if so i'd like to get to it as soon as possible. This is my largest weight ever, and for my height is terribly uncomfortable.

Belle - We fly out next Tuesday (June 10th). I'm very nervous. It's a 7.5 hour non-stop plane ride. I'm a poultry girl. I could live off of chicken, ground turkey, and turkey breakfast meats. My main overload is cheese. It doesn't seem to stall me but I still like to watch my inake. I also need to start drinking water again. I really think that helps. I want to get myself under 200 before we start 'actively' trying. Jonny has got big brother fever though. He's always telling me he wants a baby sister.

Dessa - I wish I could help but I was only 17 when I had Jonny.

I can't relate to having good metabolism at 17; I was ALWAYS sluggish. I'm actually in the best shape I've ever been right now.

Christina: I love the pics of Jonny, but I love your new avatar, too. You're lookin' good! Why not try to focus on your personal exercise goals while you have to wait for the diet to get back in order. I'm thinking of doing a modified South Beach type diet during pregnancy. Basically, everything but wheat, rice, potatoes, and sugar. I think I'm going to add oatmeal as my breakfast every other morning or so. What do you think? OH-and check out Zoey's closet online. They have a great selection of big brother Tees. We ordered a cute one for Ben.

Kat: Thanks for the congrats! We're excited.

Stinky: I'm working with a kid in summer school who speaks broken English. (He's Chinese.) He's so sweet, and I just want to squeeze him!

Dessa: I plan to pare down my carbs when I deliver, but stay out of ketosis while I nurse. What has been your eating plan so far? I need some guidance!

Nik - I've always been big, but at 17 I wasn't concerned about losing weight. I think your eating plan for pregnancy sounds very good. I gained alot during my pregnancy. I gave into every craving and was eating hot fries and strawberry milk everyday.

I wish I could help...I try to follow a certain plan, but my cravings can sometimes get the best of me...and I also get repelled at the things on my plan. Meat was the worst and I still can barely tolerate chicken or fish...which were plan points.

My doctor said Phase 2 of SBD was ideal for pregnancy..there are a lot of meal plans online for that phase if you don't have the book. I think the healthiest thing I've done was greatly increase my water intake, and made sure I took my vitamins during the first 2 trimesters every night, in case morning sickness would plague me during the day it would absorbed in my system while I slept. Salads were very good to me, I try to eat them as much as I can during the week.

My cravings were constant...in the beginning it was watermelon everyday (in the winter, not so good), then it was mexican food (especially the salsa, and it was the only way to get meat in my diet, smothered in tomatoes or something), then salads, and turkey sandwiches.. which continue today, then the cravings stopped and last month it was breakfast (eggs, hash browns, sausage, I wouldn't eat pancakes or anything like that). Now I have my healthy cravings, except for a little ice cream here and there. I love peaches!!!!!
So, basically what I'm trying to say is that your cravings and aversions may not be willing to fall in line with your plan. I think if you have a craving the best thing would be to find a healthy alternative if possible, like when I liked the mexican food, I would only eat a small appetizer just to take the edge off, or sugar free ice cream (which will not taste very good pretty soon for you, I'm sure, I don't think that chemical substitutes will be accepted much by your hormonal body...)

Christina - you look so pretty and skinny in your new avitar! I love it! And of course your ds and dh look nice too!

Nik - I think your plan sounds great. Just keep at it and try to exercise and I'm sure you'll do great!

Belle - how's everything going?

Dessa - if you aren't planning to nurse, then you should be able to jump right back into something after labor. I haven't read about any restrictions afterward except if you are breast feeding.

Mel - the kids are gone now, right? I bet you're pumped and excited to begin the summer!!

I'm tired and headachy today. Not fun. My menu:
B: french toast
L: mac
D: turkey w/ green beans
S: chocolate/mint bar

Tomorrow is WI #2 and I'm thinking I may be down another 2 pounds max. I'll take it.

I'll BBL.

Amber: You're doing so well on your diet! Congratulations!

I am so exhausted! I took a two hour nap today and am going to bed soon. (It's not yet 8:00.)

The only major issue I'm having is a tremendous sensitivity to smells. They gross me out!

I'm sure it's largely hormonal. Unfortunately, I am still having hormonal episodes 3.5 months postpartum. It's just all part of it! I love eating in summer so much better. It's grilling season plus all of the fresh produce! Yum! We planted some tomato plants this year and I can't wait for some to ripen! They are expensive in stores right now!

I still haven't started back. I intended to yesterday but have not made it to the store yet. I am excited to though. I am breastfeeding so I am a bit nervous but if it affects my supply in any way, I will stop. I absolutely love breastfeeding and do not want to stop. No way, no how.

I never had sensitivity to smells but I *had* to nap every day at 3pm (that was when I got off work). It was not even an option, it was a must! Grow, baby, grow!!!!!

Me~As I mentioned above, I intended to start induction yesterday but have not made it to the store. We had an out of town wedding this weekend and yesterday I didn't even manage a shower, let alone grocery shopping! It is amazing how something so small can throw off your schedule so much! I am working tomorrow which means my sister will have Tucker. I intend to go grocery shopping before I pick him up to make sure I get it done!
