Playtex Ultra Tampons

I have short, heavy flows. I like it that way. Since I'm out a lot on public transit and all I am very careful.

I used to like the OB tampons but they didn't really get it all. I loved the ultra absorbancy but I'd be leaking and pull it out and parts of it would be white. Aggravating.

So I went to Playtex. In the middle of the night, I can insert the thing. I have troubles inserting the Tampax in the middle of the night or when I'm tired, and I don't like to wrestle with the thing, curse it, and drop my only spare in the toilet.

I'm loving the Playtex. A few days ago, I saw ULTRA absorbancy. I bought a box, it was unscented. I can't abide scented tampons.

I just started my period and put one in. EASY application. I love 'em.

Anyone else try them? What did you think?

Heather,

Where did you find them. I have been looking and I can't find them any where.

My SuperWalmart. They come in a blue box.

I used them during my whole period, except for the last day. They ruled. Easy to insert, no leaks, comfortable, wonderful. When this box runs out, I'm buying another.

I found them at Target today, bought two boxes. Hopefully they will work well, I'm so tired of having to change my tampon every hour. My Dr. has been asking me to get an endometrial ablation, but honestly I'm afraid to do it.

I don't blame you. I'm pretty nervous about any surgery around "the parts" myself.

I have a harmless dermoid cyst on my left ovary. I don't bother it and it doesn't bother me.

I hate tampons BUT I have to use them. Kotex I find work well for me. Even though my flow might be heavy I cant use the Super ones though. FOr some reason they dont feel right

Okay, the verdict is in. They don't make much of a difference for me compared to the super plus size. I was flooding through it in a little over an hour last night.

I've used playtex for years, maybe I should try another brand and see if I do better.

Or

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and have the ablation

Eeeek. I'm sorry they didn't work.

Malissa, I used one Kotex when I was working retail. I was wearing a long skirt and was literally dripping blood on the floor mat in an hour. When I took the tampon out I saw a lot of it was still white. I threw them all out and NEVER wore them again. I would never wear them.

Apparently, according to my gyn I have an unusually deep cavity so I don't have troubles with the larger absorbencies. DH doesn't care and neither do I.
