Any Bfeeding a toddler and doing SBD

I cant lose weight breastfeeding,I dont gain weight but my body wants to keep the fat.......I would have thought my lbs would have dropped by now being my LO is a year and a half and I workout like crazy. So hopefully the SBD diet can help..I think I am going to stick with phase 2 though.

How much do you weigh? What's your typical menu?

If you're close to goal and hanging onto a few extra pounds, might not be a big issue.

There are some other posts on BF and LC and the consensus seems to be YMMV - same as those not BF. Different eating plans work differently.

I have had the same problem. Other women just seem to melt away while they are breastfeding, but I held on to every pound. First, let me say don't stop breastfeeding and CONGRATULATIONS on a great breastfeeding relationship.

Phase 2 of SBD is a great plan for a breastfeeding mom. It has plenty of carbs from clean sources. But, it may be a little low calorie to maintain your milksupply. Input your calories into fitday and see if you are getting enough. Because your baby is a little older, s/he is probably taking in a lot of calories from table foods so breastmilk at this point is a supplement to the diet. Is that right? The two main things that I would say watch out for is that you are drinking plenty of water- a non-bfeeding person would need 6-8 8oz glasses a day on a LC diet. You as a bfeeding mama will need double that to keep your milk supply up. Also, I would avoid ketosis and just focus on eating really cleanly. A breastfeeding mama should really only lose 1-2lbs a week any more than that and your milk supply will suffer.
