AY! Who you calling goofy
<looks over shoulder for someone else in the room, but sees no one > I've really missed you girls, life just got a little... much, I guess is the only way to put it. I know you all understand and I appreciate your continued support even when I'm not around ![]() My 2d goal comes from FlyLady's book "Body Clutter" and her general FLY (Finally Loving Yourself) system. [flylady dot net if anyone's interested] I found her about a year and a half ago and she helped me feel like I had some control over my house and self. Anywho, Body Clutter is about getting rid of the clutter between our ears so that we can get rid of some of the clutter on our bodies and those are the general rules. "gentle loving movement" is just any movement that gets your heart rate up a little and makes you happy. Today, mine was a walk with a friend at work and a couple extra trips up and down my new stairs I find it way too easy to just not do anything cause I don't have time to go the gym for an hour, and that doesn't make any sense! ![]() My new obsession is about to be the Wii Fit. Where my Wii-ers out there? Anyone else gonna get this?

Belle - I am so sorry to hear about you and your husband. I'm glad to hear you guys may be working things out. We haven't dealt with a deployment yet but we have our very own set of issues and the 'D' word has come up before. It makes me wonder where I'm going in life. I dropped my life to be an at home wife and mom and now it's all I know, if I were to have to do something different I wouldn't even know where to begin. I hope everything goes well and if you ever need anything, I'm here for ya.
![]() Kat - Welcome back!

Belle - I'm so glad to hear that DH may be open to counselling. As long as you're both willing to do the work together, there's nothing you can't make it through
![]() Christina - how's the packing coming? Katy - Yoga Booty Ballet? that sounds like fun! Come over and use my DVD player and we'll do it together BTW, I'm still in w/ that beautiful baby!Mel - Thanks for the welcome! The Wii fit looks to be running around $70-80 ish. I don't know about packages, but I'll check it out when I go reserve mine. I'm so pumped about the newest Narnia movie, too! You'll have to tell me how it is. The series has been on my "to read" list forEVER. Have you read them or any of his other work? We actually used The Chronicles as a theme at my church camp several years ago and it was one of my fave weeks ![]() Round here ( Counting Crows ) I'm working on taking control back in a healthy way. I've come dangerously close to purging several times in the last week or so and that was a real wake up call. I journalled (finally) last night and DH and I had a heart to heart about what's been going on with me, so I feel good about the steps I'm taking. My (PG) friend Julie and her adorable 15mo boy are coming up tonight, so I'm looking forward to playing with him and getting back to normal. Used Stevia in my coffee this morning, so I'm off to a good start with my goals! to all my ladies! Hope you all have a blessed day! |

Happy Friday Girlies!!
Christina- wow- I can't believe how close it is getting! I am both excited for you and nervous as well...just make sure you dont forget about us! We know you will be crazy busy so anytime you have to pop in would be great... I am going to tell you one thing about being an Army wife...do not get so wrapped up in him. Make sure you do things for yourself. My life has been consumed with DH and now that I look back, it is crazy. Not that I would change it for the world but I think I might do things differently. Kat- you are a loon..you know that right? I have missed you and your smileys! Oh, and I could really use a bubble bath! Of course there is something wrong with the plumbing in this house and you can only take hot showers- for some reason, it wont fill the tub. grrr.... How do you like Stevia? Does it taste like licorice? Congrats on moving forward! Baby steps..girl...baby steps..one foot in front of the other...baby steps... Po- Yoga booty Ballet??!! Can't quite wrap my head around that.... ![]() Follow Kat's example- baby steps girl! You have a lot on your plate adjusting to being a mom. Take it easy on yourself but commit yourself to make atleast one positive change a week or a day..whatever works for you.Mel- I am right along with you on the need to go food shopping! You will have to let us know how the movie is if you go. We loved the first one..Amber- how ya doin hon? Dessa- how are you doing?? Lil Elijah behaving himself in there? hehe shanidy- what's new with you? to everyone!I want to thank you ladies again- you really helped me way more than you probably realize. I am trying to stay positive....but please, I can use all the you can spare!!BBL with my menu ![]() ![]()

Yeah, Belle, in truth, you're far from the first to notice my..., shall we call them idiosyncrasies
Bummer on the tub! Do you have a bucket you could stick in the shower with the water on nothing but hot and transfer it to the tub <stops and ponders mental image of that fire brigade work out > I NEEDS my bubbles! (with a TALL glass of wine )The stevia didn't taste like much. I've got to figure out how to really use it, I think. I didn't try it plain, cause I've heard some horror stories, so I put like 5 drops in my coffee and I couldn't really tell if it sweetened it much or not, definitely not overwhelmingly sweet. I'll keep you posted as I figure out approximations. Baby steps, huh? Are you a FlyBaby? (and if so, did I already know that )ETA: forgot your ![]() |

Doing good....Two fibroids disappeared and the one at the top of my uterus is far away from birth canal and hasn't grown any in the past six weeks! The doctor in the antenatal unit says there's a minute chance of early delivery now, so I'm very relieved about that, especially seeing that premature baby boys struggle more than baby girls do.
Ya'll doing very well with your eating and trying new things. I keep saying I'm going to start the 12day grapefruit plan, you know low carb except for the fruit during mealtimes. I was thinking it was a perfect balance and great way for me to incorportate more salads (which I'm starting to love again). Was supposed to take the glucose test this week, things were out of control, and I hadn't had the chance, I'm going on Monday. They test my sugar every 2 weeks with a strip urine test before each visit. I've had such bad experiences taking my blood labs, I think mentally I'm dreading another test, but I've made my appointment.

Hmmm....maybe I have a second...
I'm having a hard time getting back on LC since my Miami trip. I'm thinking seriously about calling Jenny Craig tomorrow and restarting it. I think I need a break from LC but know I need structure in my diet. Not sure... I'll be back later to post more and catch up. |

Hiya Amber- thanks for the prayers.. You need to find whatever works for you. Sometimes it is good to try other ways of eating. Remember my WW stint?
I have to say though- WW was a good break for me and then I came back to LC and appreciated it more. Not saying that would happen to you..Dessa- glad that things seem to be going well for you. That is excellant news about the fibroids. Dont know if I have ever heard of the 12 day grapefruit plan...cant say I am a big fan of grapefruit though! My menu for today: B- spinach quiche, 2 turkey sausages S- iced coffee w/cream L- buffalo chicken salad S- 1 turkey sausage D- lc chili w/sour cream, ched cheese, salad I think I am hitting O time which really bums me out. I know everything happens for a reason, so I am trying to get through what is presented to me right now. I will hopefully someday get back to TTC..atleast I have two beautiful children right now. Cant help dreaming of the other child in waiting though... ![]() Hugs girls!! |

Kat - I will definitly be enjoying a bubble bath or two!
about the boxes. It took us almost 8 months to empty the last box when we moved in here. (we came here with a toddler bed, a tv, a kitchen table and maybe 15 boxes!!). I'm so glad the Army is taking care of it all now. I too am a flybaby, a very young flybaby. I signed up about 3 weeks ago and have got as far as shining my sink 4-5 times a week! I think it is so hard to focus on just one room. I'm looking forward to Germany for a clean slate.Belle - Thanks for the advice. You just gave me the boost that I needed to get off my butt and start looking into getting my GED. (when I said I dropped everything, I meant EVERYTHING, including leaving school 2/3 of the way through my senior year). I was very independent before I met DH. I worked full time since I was 16. Now I just sit here all day and sometimes I feel like I exist only as a wife and mom. ![]() ![]() Well Jonny leaves tomorrow. It will be the absolute first time he's been away from me longer than 48 hours. I'm hoping this will let me and DH rekindle some romance though. We can take some date nights and I can go with him while his backpiece gets finished up. everyone!!ETA: today was horrible eating wise. I had to make 50 breakfast burritos for a bake sale for hubby's battalion. I had a couple , and a brownie, and a cookie, and some OJ. But with the little guy leaving I will be trying to make it to the gym everyday!! That's my goal at least...Last edited by ArmyWife88 : 05-16-2008 at 06:47 PM. |

Hey girls...been busy.
I'm glad to see Kat back around. We're thinking of getting Wii fit. My yearbook (which just came in last week) has a Wii theme. It's pretty cute! Belle: I'm still thinking of you, girl. Christina: Good luck w/o baby. I hope things go well with the move. It's going to be a long, needed weekend! I tried some Breyer's carb smart ice cream tonight, but it just tasted pretty weird. I don't know... I was at an amusement park all day and really wanted an ice cream, so I decided to wait till I could buy some acceptable stuff. So, my period was supposed to come on mother's day. I've seen nothin'. I'm going to give it a few days, though, and maybe even another week or two. I can expect some minor disruptions from time to time as my body chemistry stabilizes. I'll keep you all updated! Oh, yeah! And I have a VERY interested buyer in my old house! HURRAH!

Nik - that's fantastic about the interested buyer. We're getting our house ready to list right now. I'm scared with the market the way it is but we really want the flexibility to pack up and leave when we find jobs in Georgia.
Christina - good luck being w/o your baby. I'm sure it will be hard but he'll probably have a lot of fun being with his grandparents. I'm also jealous that you get movers to do everything for you. That's a real bonus. Belle - I figure JC might be a good break to get me back to LC. My only issue with LC is that once I'm off plan I really really really struggle to get back on. Sorry about the upcoming O. I hope you guys can work something out and get back to BD'ing soon. ![]() Dessa - good luck with the glucose test. Kat - how are you doing? Did anything trigger your purging impulse? I've been so worried about you - I'm really glad that you're back. Oh, and you'll have to post reviews about the wii fit. I have the wii and we go through phases of playing it a lot and then not playing at all. I'm sadly more addicted to the old school games I buy through wii shop than the new wii games we've bought. I absolutely love donkey kong country. It's so fun. Okay, we're packing up our clutter today and moving it into storage. We've already taken 2 car loads to good will and sold a bunch of stuff on craigs list, so now it's packing time. We're trying to get our house show-ready and hope to have it on the market w/in 2 weeks. It's definitely exhausting trying to do this - I feel for all your ladies who recently moved and who are still dealing with this. Boo... I'll be back on later today.

Belle - The best thing about FlyLady is the... nevermind, as soon as I thought of THE best thing, 76980 more came in my head
I by no means keep up with all the emails or even all the zone cleaning, but I try to "do it now" and use my timer as much as possible and it really works! as you work through your feelings about everything ![]() Dessa - Praise God on the fibroids and for your glucose test!Amber - I'm with Belle on this, whatever works for you and helps you be healthier I was gone cause of being busy with work, but I think being away left some more room for the other issues to creep in, so I'm back to working on em. I think it's often driven by my control issues but that's why I'm a work in progress, LOL. GL with your house staging and showing - no fun, but TOTALLY worth it when you're done!Christina - FlyBaby! I know you'll miss your boy, but have fun enjoying your man ![]() Nik - for ya and woot on the potential buyer -some extra for that!Katy - thanks for the - back at ya! I've struggle with ED since high school, but mostly have given up the purging since college, although the binge urge is still there Well, I've just spent a VERY entertaining 24 or so hours chasing around the cutest little boy! We had such a good time and it just made me even more excited about fostering this fall! It was so cute last night when I was holding him and DH came over to give us both kisses goodnight Doing pertty good on my goals. Heading off to journal on it now...Thanks again for all of your love and support! XOXO |

Hiya
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!Pretty good day of eating for me today. Been running all over the place with DS and his sports. I love it but it does get exhausting! Have to get up for a 10am baseball game tomorrow...but I would rather the 10am game than the 8am game! Atleast I can sleep a lil bit!Nothing new to report with DH- he has Army stuff this weekend so he is pretty busy. I am hoping all my positive emails and behavior will help him to realize I am not ready to throw in the towel just yet. When I look at this past year, I get so mad at myslef for not handling things better. Instead of pushing for him to come home, I should have been pushing for therapy..oh well..hopefully it is not too late...Menu: B- spinach quiche, 2 turkey sausage S- coffee w/cream L- buffalo chicken salad, handful of almonds S- iced coffee w/cream (2) D- cheeseburger, bacon- I cooked up some chicken for the next couple days and had a couple bites.. I know I need to get better with my veggies. I did go to the food store today so I stocked up. Kat- I loved that image of your DH giving you both kisses good night- so sweet! I pulled up the Flylady website but havent had a chance to check it out.. Oh- you totally completely lost me on the 76980 thing...???!!! ![]() sorry I am a bit slow sometimes! ![]() Amber- wow you are a busy woman! We just listed our house on the market (already moved into other home shared with my parents)- I am hoping for a quick sale- the house really needs alot of work though. You are looking to relocate to Georgia? I always like Georgia as we drive thru it on our way to Florida! People seem very nice. Christina- how are you doin without Jonny? I am glad I motivated you to look into your GED- Your situation sounds very similar to my own. I dropped out of college because I got pregnant and really from there on it was all about my kids and my husband. Like I said before, I would not have changed it for the world but I would have focused on myself more. If I can help you with anything, please let me know. I still cant believe you are going to Germany!! That is truly amazing... Po-hope you caught up on some sleep- ![]() ![]() Nik- "lil miss oh so calmly telling us AF hasnt come yet"!!! ![]() thinking of you!! Mel, Dessa, shanidy - hope I dint forget anyone!!Have a great evening and a wonderful relaxed Sunday.... |

Nik: tried some Breyer's carb smart ice cream tonight, but it just tasted pretty weird. I don't know... Man, I used to love that stuff. I bought some a couple of months back and it tasted very bad. I wonder if it was me, or maybe the formula changed, but it was awful. So, unfortunately when I have those dairy desires, I go for the real thing.
Belle: Glad you're still around. It's great therapy to be around others, it really helps a lot. Don't let the upcoming "O" bum you out, let it be an encouraging sign of things to come!Kat: So happy you're back! We missed you! One day at a time.... Mel: Let me know how the movie is, I actually liked the first one very much, it took me a few scenes to get into it, but I really liked it after that. Amber: HIYA! (Couldn't find the siggy, brain fog) Hopefully next year, we'll be doing the big move into our "forever house". I don't look forward to the packing part though.Christina: Go for it!!!!!!!!!!! You'll sure have a cheering section here when you start classes!Katy: Enjoying that little bundle of joy, I see! |
