OK started a new thread....better late than never I guess . I've been very tired as I'm sure most of us are.

This afternoon I have the u/s to measure baby to see if we need to move DD sooner. I have mixed emotions on all that but it's really not up to me now is it?

It's been tooooooo quiet in here!!! Where and how is everybody???? Check in!

I'm here and baby is doing fine. We went to the er yesterday because I started bleeding. I stopped bleeding later that night. HR and sono were good. I called my doc and will see her tomorrow. This has never happened before in this pregnancy or with my first child. It is very emotianal.

Texoma,

I know that was/is a scary experience for you but I am glad that you and baby are okay! Did they figure out what caused it? I'm sure the doctor will keep a watchful eye on you 2 to make sure you are fine. Do you know if it's a girl or boy yet or are you waiting for a surprise?

This made me think of my mom. My mom had her "period" every 2 weeks until she found out she was about 6 months pregnant with me She finally went to the doctor and found out she was expecting. I was her 6th. I never knew why or asked. I wasn't "planning" on having children before she passed. I bet she's laughing at me since I'm on my 3rd. She did always tell me when I was acting up that she hoped I had two just like me and boy do I. I wish I would have listened more to my mom In hindsight she knew pretty much everything.

My visit went well today. The u/s showed that everything is fine and the baby is weighing over 6 1/2 pounds right now and that he is ok to stay tucked in until the 28th unless I go into labor before then. They did the routine recheck for STD's, HIV, group B strep, etc. I hate that part.

My next appointment is next week. I have my paperwork for anethesia and c-section so I'm good to go.

Can't believe it's 20 days away now!

Well, my plans are changed and they're expediting. Blood pressure is up, uric acid up - so, scheduled for induction a week from tomorrow - she'll be born on Tax Day. I'm a bit ambivalent - I was hoping to go to the 28th - we're still not done with the house, my parents don't arrive until the 24th - they'll have to change their flight.

So, my new due date is 15-Apr. Now I have to settle everything with work, etc. - and on top of all of this, I'm not supposed to work and need to stay off my feet.

Ah well - maybe leaving when things are busy will reinforce my value to the team and project!

Shayla - what's rest? As I type here at 2:48 am.

Methinks the mucous plug just went bye bye a few minutes ago - Very dark color and thick - I might not last til next week . And I'm a wreck - still so much to do - we haven't even set up the baby's room, trying so hard to get things ready last week in the guest room for his mother's few days here. All went well on that front.

John was helping me with my taxes this evening and I couldn't find something, so I just sat in the office and cried and cried. I don't have any baby toiletries - my sister had promised them, saying she knew some good organic things - so I had to call her and say: "Ummmm, Brenda - either you need to get them or I do" (she put in her order while we were on phone). My parents' flight to New York needs to be pushed up quick. I need to wrap up about 5 projects at work. I need to.... and ..... and ...........

I'm starting to feel guilty - that I'm not more excited, just stressed - but, then maybe when she arrives, none of this will matter. Maybe it's all a lesson in learning what matters in life.

Still..........

hi all, i'm new here. just found out last week that i'm pregnant! It wasn't planned, but we were talking about it anyway so it's good news. I figure i'm probably about a month along. My only complaint is that things were going so well on my diet, it was really into it, and whammo i get pregnant. same thing happened last time too. (this will be #3) in the past i haven't been one to really pack on the pounds when i'm pregnant, can't remember exact numbers, but it's usually been less than 20lbs gained after the baby's born. i just wanted to be in better shape before we started trying. had lost close to 20lbs, was hoping for another 20 then i'd be happy. but it'll have to wait i guess... i'd love to try to maintain a very slow weight loss, but i've been so nauseus and i can't stand the idea of eating much meat at all. i just want to gag at the thought of it. seems the symptoms are getting worse w/ each kid. the first was a breeze, the 2nd i was pretty sick and developed HBP the last couple months and was on modified bed rest. i'm just hoping the HBP doesn't come on this time. i haven't been to the doc yet, we're new to the area and the doc that delivered my last 2 is on the other side of the country, hopefully our family doc can make a good recomendation. anyway, just wanted to say hi...

and sbarr- don't worry about things so much. when the baby gets here all that other work stuff just won't matter. and if you don't get everything done, trust me the baby won't care, and everybody else knows that something much more important came up. as for the baby room, when my daughter was born (#1) her crib hadn't even gotten here yet. it was delayed and didn't show up till 2 days after she was born. the place we bought it gave us a bassinet for her to sleep in, and i ended up using it for at least a month, probably closer to 2. it was so convienent having her right there next to our bed. when she woke up at night i'd just bring her in bed to give her her bottle (hormonal issue, can't breast feed or i'd starve my kids) and tuck her back in when she was done. did the same w/ #2. i hated the idea before i actually had a baby though.... and i'm sure you know the crying is just the hormones. i used to ball my eyes out at those kodak comercials. DH used to laugh at me LOL>

anyway, jsut wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

Kimbo! Congrats, I'm on #3 myself. We all pretty much stand the issue regarding meat. Me too. I'm still that way right now. I've kept my weight gain with this pregnancy to under 20 pounds so far but that's not including what I had gained prior to finding out I was pregnant.

Sandra I don't think you are gonna make it til next week either! That plug coming out means your cervix is dilating! Little Lindsey is ready to come on home.

I know how you are feeling - I was relieved that doctor said yesterday that the baby can cook a little longer unless I go too. Crying .... well I'm a crybaby anyways and add the hormones and they need a smiley or a frowny that is pouring tears. I'm stressing over past due paperwork, baby shower at my house this weekend - OMG my house is in total shambles.... My carpet is nasty thanks to 2 kids and 2 cats. I wanted to paint my living room, foyer, hallway before having folks over since waist level and below is covered with handprints, children's various art masterpieces in crayon, marker, and/or ink, and God only knows what the other stuff is I tried magic erasing it, but there's no way in hello that I can do all that before Saturday. I still have to clean the carpet. I am making DH move my king size bed back upstairs by himself and taking down the smaller queen and putting it in the garage. So since I won't have an extra bed there's not alot of worries about people trying to stay over. I think other people stress me out more right now.

My sil is coming into town tomorrow through the weekend to try to help get things in order - yeah right. It'll probably just stress me more.

Sorry to ramble on. Sandra you better get some rest!!!!!! Find time to do it before that precious little bundle gets here and you will never know the meaning again of real rest again

ok, i'm sick as a dog and i'm exausted. i'm only about a month into it and my stomach is so queasy and i'm very weak and FREEZING COLD! this is #3, i was sick w/ #2, but i don't remember it being this bad and darned if i can remember how long it lasted. #1 was a breeze, no sickness and wasn't all that tired. i know everybody's different, and so is every pregnancy for that matter, but somebody give me some hope and tell me this doesn't usually last that long!!

Kim - sorry to hear about the misery - seems there's a bit of misery with each phase of pregnancy.

Hiya Katy and Tucker (he is just toooooo cute) - yes, an end in sight. Miserable right now with a knife sharp pain under my left shoulder blade. My hips are starting to bother me - I guess I should be thankful that I lasted as long as I did with few problems except that bad week in February.

My parents rescheduled their flight and will be here Sat. night - I think I'll probably last until Tuesday. I've been trying to condition my nipples over past couple of days - and they're starting to show a tiny bit of fluid. I'm literally needing to pee like every 15 minutes some of the time.

If this were Thur morning, I could say - 5 days to go....heck, it's after midnight, I'm going to claim it.

sbarr & Shaylabooboo- Painting and carpet cleaning wait. Or call a carpet cleaning company and have them come out real quick. If you have anyone staying with you the first couple weeks (which I highly recommend) make sure you tell them exactly what would help you out the most. They aren't there just to visit the baby. They are there for you and if you need the kitchen cleaned or the laundry folded then don't be shy...tell them.

sbarr-just make sure you have diapers, wipes and a good butt cream. I recommend Corona for really nasty rashes. It is in the pharmacy section and don't be alarmed when you read it is for cattle.

I never got a definitive answer from the er doctor. From the u/s it looked like the placenta was over the cervix opening which could be very bad. I saw my doc on Monday and am now on restricted activity for a month. No gym, no walking too far and no picking up my 2 year old. That is proving to be extremely hard but instead of picking him up 30 times a day we are down to perhaps 4. Also, if I start bleeding again it will be complete bed rest and only getting up to pee. I am a sahm so that would prove to be very difficult. I’m taking it as easy as I can because I really don’t want to go on bed rest.

Can't wait..

So Sandra, sounds like you are having a time with it all. Please don't worry about "stuff" being ready. Basically the first few weeks all you need are diapers, a few receiving blankets and boobs! The rest will come when it comes and seriously the "stuff" that so many people think they need, they don't really need. The baby doesn't care if it has all that stuff anyway, all they want is food (ie: boobs) and to sleep on your chest. So, relax and enjoy the ride - as much as anyone can.

I have a little eating machine. Sascha Lily is now 8.5 pounds (born 6 pounds 15 ounces) a little over 4 weeks ago. She is gorgeous and adorable, but still eating every 2 hours or so so it's exhausting.

My breastfeeding isn't going as well as I had hoped. I am sick with a terrible cold right now and my milk is in very short supply, not that I have enough to begin with, but right now it's worse. I am supplimenting with formula about 50% of the time.

I am so tired and feeling rotten, but having 2 kids under 3 and both quite needy and in diapers is taking it's toll.

So, not much else to report, I am just full on mommy-mode right now.

Love to all

Susan

Just checking in I know I have been MIA for a while but moving to a new house which thankfully is literally 3 minutes from the hospital has been keeping me busy and exhausted. Everything is going fine but babys head is measuring 2 weeks larger than the rest of her my children all have big heads DH is a 7 5/8 in hats so its no suprise but it still scares me thinking about how much larger her head will be by delivery My parents are here and helping me a ton so I have been able to get the rest I need during the day since rest at night is not happening I hope everyone is doing well and the new babies are growing healthy and stronger. I wont be on much still so much to do! take care everyone

Texoma - is there any chance for the placenta to move - there was someone on this thread earlier who thought she had it, but it resolved itself - so, not sure if misdiagnosed or if it can resolve. My best thoughts are with you.

Susan - great to see you - Maddie's picture in your avi always brings a smile to my face. I'm settling down a bit and decided to roll with the punches - nothing's ready, but baby won't care - just need to keep remembering that. Sorry to hear about the BF - glad you're able to do some. Is Maddie still acclimating well to "tiny baby"?

Momof9 - great to see that things are going well for you - I'm still in awe of you being able to do this so many times. I'd love to see your home during the holiday meals!

Melissa - you're soon, also.... glad you're settled in the new house - I know moving can be so stressful - it's great that your parents are around to help out.

So, Katy - when a new pic of Tucker - like with Susan's little girl, those two just make me smile and smile...

Thanks, Sandra, he is such a doll! He loves to snuggle!

That was me who had the placenta previa early on. It will move in 99% of people so let's hope it moves for Texoma!

Hi everybody - how is everyone holding up???

Sandra- you still holding on? If we don't hear good luck with tomorrow! I'm so excited for you!!!!

Right now I'm feeling rough. My left breast has been having a sharp ache that comes and goes, kinda weird. My muscles in my stomach and lower back hurt, and I feel like I don't know if I can make it 2 more weeks. I just feel yucky. I was nauseaous this morning and want to sleep or at least lay down all the time.

We had company since Wednesday last week and that wore me out I think.

I think I've moaned and complained enough.

How is everyone else?
