I am so proud of you making the decision to take care of yourself..... and I'll bet you are able to take better care of your family now too!

I hope your daughter heals quickly! I know how hard it is to not be able to do what you love... My husband soccer team was off for 2 weeks them they had to forfeit and after just 3 weeks he missed playing SOOOOO bad!

Hey gals....another day almost done. Is everyone looking forward to weigh in tomorrow???

DD is doing good. She actually made it down the stairs and joined the living again- haha. Her follow up appt is on thursday so that should be interesting.

Here is my menu today:
B- flax muffin, butter
S- iced coffee w/cream
L- last of my LC chili, zucchini strings, sour cream, ched cheese
S- iced coffee w/cream, 6 macadamia nuts
D- stuffed mushrooms (spinach and feta cheese), sour cream, 3 turkey breakfast sausages

Oiy- feel like I ate a lot today!

Hey girls. Just checkin in quickly.

Menu:
B: quiche
L: salami w/ mayo
D: huge salad w/ fajita chicken, peppers, onions, tomatoes, salsa, and sour cream - yummy!
S: flax muffin with butter

Belle - you ate less than me! But yes, I'm looking forward to WI tomorrow for the first time in months.

Mel - I can't wait to see the pictures

Nik - I'm really sorry about your jerky neighbors. Did you get to speak with them to see why they changed their minds and didn't bother telling you???? I'm sure it will work out eventually but I completely get your frustration.

I'll see you all tomorrow. My short story for today was that I worked way too hard! I'm needing some R&R and need to pack my lunch for tomorrow too. See you tomorrow.

Nik, I forgot to comment about your neighbors- I got all angry when I was reading your post! They better watch out or the LCF GHFB girls will come kick their butts! So sorry Hun....do you feel any better? Does that mean there is no deal? No way to work around it? grr...I am getting all mad again!

Mel, I am also looking forward to pics!

Amber, sorry you worked too hard today...hoping tomorrow is a better day for you Funny how with LC sometimes it feels like you ate a ton, but really, you did not!

Christina- you back on plan?? mac/cheese and smirnoffs will do it every time!

I didn't weigh in today and probably won't until at least Friday. I was on plan all day yesterday and then got in an arguement with DH and I had myself some Screwdrivers. So far so good today though! I have yet to eat lunch but I'll probably have a salad. and we're having chicken and cauliflower for supper. I just need to keep up my water to speed things along. Check back in a bit...

Why I ketostix:

I love that the little stick always changes color for me.
I love that it is a positive!
I love the color purple.
I love that no matter what time of a day I pee on it, it changes color.

So, when the stupid OPK wont turn positive, I pee on a keto stick. When the dang HPT won't turn positive, I pee on a keto stick.

Just me and my ketostix are going to skip around together until one of those other darn tests turn positive!!!

Can you tell I am stressed? Dang OPK wont turn positive!! At least I am stressed with a sense of humor!

Okay, here's my real post.

Belle - haha, I love ketostix too!! Good job with the WI!!

Katy - I LOVE LOVE LOVE your new Avitar picture. It's so precious!!! Did you get them professionally done?

Christina - Ouch!! Step away from the cheesy mac and alcohol. The good thing is that you really do seem motivated to get back on plan immediately. Make sure you stay on plan to get back in ketosis and you'll be fine. Sorry about the fight with your dh.

Mel - yeah!!! Good job on the pound. You and Nik are going to slip right into onderland before we know it. You're getting closer by the second. So....what did you decide to make tonight?

Nik - I hope that you're doing well. I'm worried about you with all these stressful situations in your life right now. I hope things work out quickly and you can get some much needed R&R! Okay, so here's your Rock of Love spoiler.....Brett takes both girls to Cancun for a romantic getaway. Amber gets sluttier and Brett likes it. Daisy gets seasick and he doesn't like it! He says at the finale that he isn't looking for rock of lust or rock of like but rock of love and then picks.....AMBER. I really couldn't care less either way this season but still enjoyed watching it. Next week they'll have the reunion, which should be fun to watch. I really liked Jess from last season but that didn't work so I'm not holding my breath with him and Amber.

Okay so here's today's menu:
B: quiche
L: salami w/ mayo
S: skinny latte from Starbucks (12 carbs - splurged here)
D: chicken wings, ranch, celery, and carrots

Okay, so today was too high in carbs, fat, and calories. I'll do better tomorrow. I'm planning to eat the quiche, a fajita chicken salad for lunch, and then another salad for dinner tomorrow. I'm also vowing to stay far away from starbucks!

I hope everyone had a great day and I'm going to go and lurk. I may pop back in before I get offline. See you all tomorrow either way!

First, Wednesday Weigh - In: Weekly loss of 2.8 pounds for a new weight of 205.2 pounds!!! Who's going to add this up? I'm an English teacher, not a math teacher!

Girls, thanks for the well wishes on the awful situation. 1) I have severed ties with these "friends." Regardless of our differences of opinions, when one is dishonest, that's a deal breaker. 2) There is still a chance the house deal could go through, but it's a slimmer one. 3) I am thanking God for the BETTER deal that must be waiting for me. We only endure hardship to make ourselves ready to reap greater joy. 4) I am struggling to accept the lesson that is waiting in my failed friendship. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, and it is my responsibility to seek the wisdom in this situation. I still don't understand why, though, and I still haven't figured out what I need to do in order to grow stronger and develop more fully from this betrayal. Suggestions?

Diet: Although I wanted to binge yesterday after dwelling on our situation for awhile, I did it with relatively LC foods. Today's menu:
B: egg cream
L: italian meatloaf w/gorgonzola (tasted like lasagna; I'm going to work on this one) and 1/2 an Amber's Flax Muffin
S: 1/2 Amber's Flax Muffin
D: chef salad
S: 2 pc dark chocolate

As if it weren't stressful enough, our computer crashed last night. It won't reboot. I'm currently using a school laptop, which took over 1 1/2 hours to connect to the internet tonight. Finally, it seemed to work! I'm here, aren't I? I'm going to try to download a boot disk so DH can fix our computer tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Amber: Thanks for the ROL update. I'm glad he picked Amber instead of that plastic chick. She was really freaky lookin', seriously! She reminded me of those charicatures on Guitar Hero. WEIRD!

Nik~I can't believe that about your "friends." I am a big believer in things happen for a reason and a lesson learned too, it will be interesting to find out what that will be. Hugs to you and I hope it all works out in the end.

Amber~Great job on the loss!! Have you ever tried a Caffe Americano from Starbucks to save on the carbs? When I LC, I order that plus some heavy cream and it ends up being only the carbs from the cream which was pretty minimal.

Belle~I am the same way with those ketostix! I would pee on them constantly. DH would make fun of my POAS obsession; whether it was a ketostick, OPK or HPT, I was always peeing on something!!!!

Mel~Great job on the loss!

Christina~Keep plugging away! I know it's hard to stay OP but it is so worth it when you do!!! (I need to take my own advice, by the way!)

I had a very rough day. Dh is out of town on business and Tucker has been especially needy lately. I think he's in a growth spurt. I was able to get a shower in but never did get to style my hair, put makeup on, or get dressed decently. I always feel like crap on days like this. I have lunch plans tomorrow though so I'll be leaving the house which always helps. I already showered for tomorrow (Tucker puked in my hair today) and blow dried my hair so it doesn't look horrid tomorrow.

I really need to start watching what I'm eating. After Tucker, my stomach looked so deflated and now it is puffy again. I haven't gained weight but maybe things are retaining water or redistributing. Whatever it is, it isn't pretty. I am going to write out a menu plan and really work on going on a walk every day the weather permits.

When I tried to catch up I realized I was somewhere around 4 or 5 pages behind, so I'm just gonna jump back in. Fill me in on any uber-important happenings, please

Sorry to have abandoned ya'll for a while. Things continue to be hectic at work, but at least this morning I'm getting to sit at my computer for 5 straight minutes The great thing is that in the midst of all the stress I got to go to my mountaintop church camp for a retreat weekend for high schoolers run by high schoolers. It was an amazing experience and I came home truly re-energized in my faith and life

I'm CD3 and DH and I are giving it everything we've got this month after playing it kinda loose (so to speak ) the last several cycles.

On the weight front, I'm happy to report that after greatly increased activity for the last little bit, I'm still hovering in the upper 170s even though my eating hasn't been great. I'm trying to focus a bit on that and am calling today to join the gym by my work. Still determined to be "steamy hot" for the beach (any other Biggest Loser watchers out there?... Bueller? )

Missed you all but thought about and prayed for you daily

Well my lose for the challenge is 4.4 lbs, It was somere at 5.8 but then I slipped up and gained 1.4 lbs back after a few days way off plan.

On another note 25 lbs might not be much of a challenge for us losers.... the way we are going...we're almost 1/2 way there, with only 3 peoples totals.....and it's only been one week! Well at least we know we CAN do it!
