Ok my weight tomorrow will be my starting weight. Everyone should weigh tomorrow even if they just got back on plan, so we have a base line to start from.

Hey girls. Just checking in. Okay, I'm game on this 25 pound group challange thing. Good idea Nik!! And you girls are right, why try something else or go off plan for another month when LC is right here and easy to do. I'm going to recommit to doing LC (need to hit the grocery store first) and will WI tomorrow for my official start weight for the challange.

So if you girls don't mind, will you try to keep posting menus so that I get ideas of what I should be eating to stay on plan? I'll post mine as well once I get started - I'll try to grocery shop tomorrow and start Thursday.

Mel - it's so exciting that you're about to become an aunt! Is this your first neice?

Belle - I didn't know what an HEB was either until posting on LCFs. I've seen it mentioned on this site before... Do you not have pork rinds at your local grocery store? If not, I know netrition sells them and has flavored ones too. I'm not a fan at all so I avoid them. that your daughter's surgery goes well and she heals quickly!! Also, make sure you WI tomorrow to get your starting weight (unless you already did). Oh, one more thing......are you going to do strict induction or just under 20 carbs?

Kat - sorry work is hectic right now. At least you like your job so that probably makes it more bearable. Did you get the roof leak fixed? Hopefully.

Christina - wow, you flew right through the 250s. Lucky girl!!

Okay, I'm going to eat dinner. I'll pop back on in a bit to chat some more.

Hi Katy, Nik, and Dessa!!

Amber- I am trying to stay strict induction but I usually end up just staying under 20 carbs. I really want to avoid any processed foods. I need to resist the urge to buy lc bars!! I am worried about days away from the house (like at the hospital, out shopping for the day, etc) I tend to wig out if I am not at home eating the proper food. I guess I need to relax a bit..

Comment on my menu for the day: I did have taco salad for dinner- was yummy. I also had 2 pcs of Hersheys sf chocolate (bad processed crap) No sf jello- didnt have time to make any. I might make some oopsie rolls tonight.

So, now I am thinking- how do you ladies handle eating out? Do you have a game plan or do you just go out and wing it? Do you struggle when you are away from home? Am I just ?

I just wing it when I'm away from home but I do struggle. I usually do salads w/ mayo as dressing. Diet Soda always gets me when I'm out and about. and tonight pizza got me just when I was doing so good too...

Wow Christina!! You look absolutely fantastic!! What size is your dress? You look so slim in the mid-section! How proud was your husband of you? Good job!!!

Belle - eating out on LC is always my struggle. My goal is to start packing big salads to take to work for my lunches full of veggies and a HB egg on top or some chicken diced or bacon or something on most days and then lettuce wrapped sandwiches on other days. I have individual sized bags of almonds and I usually keep one in my purse for emergencies. As far as eating out goes, I try to pick steakhouses or places where there is something I know I can eat. I'm not perfect though and this is usually where I have my problem. I'd definitely keep something in your purse, almonds or an atkins bar or something, for emergencies (like when you're at the HP all day).

I went and took a long walk with my dog - it was really nice.

My dress was a size 22 but it was looser thatn when I bought it so I was happy! it kept falling down all night... at one point the back of my strapless bra was showing talk about classy LOL some lady came running across the ballroom and was like "oh honey... your bra is showing let me fix it for you!!" Hubby says 'I can dress you up but I can't take you anywhere!' I say the same for him LOL he had a few more than usual it was intertesting. He kept oogling over me telling me very loudly 'You're the sexiest woman here and I can't wait to get you home'

Awww... Christina! Don't you just love it when they get all man-ish on you? That should definitely help with the BD'ing, too! You look gorgeous, and I love the color of your dress. It really accentuates your skin and hair color. FANTASTIC!

Yes, I think we should weigh-in on Wednesdays. I'll let you know my starting weight at that time.

Amber: I like to HB about 18 eggs, make a batch of cream cheese muffins, and fry up two pounds of bacon for the week. You can do this! I also measure out my nuts so I don't overeat those. I'm not on strict induction anymore, but here's my menu, anyway:
B: Atkins shake
S: Atkins shake
L: romaine lettuce salad, 4 pcs bacon, 1/4 C shredded cheese, Feta cheese dressing
S: 1/8 C hazelnuts and cashews; 1/5 of a dove dark chocolate bar
D: pork roast w/fat, 1 pc bacon (shared w/DS)
S: heavy cream w/chocolate syrup
Tomorrow, I plan:
B: Egg cream (chilled coffee blended w/sweetener, heavy cream, and two raw eggs)
S: Atkins shake (if necessary; the egg cream is supposed to fill you up.)
L: same as yesterday-it's already packed!
S: Atkins shake if I didn't have it earlier, nuts if it's gone
D: salmon

GOSH, there's so much to reply to!
Mel: Congrats on the fridge and the niece.
Stinky: Good luck with DD tomorrow. My coworker yelled at me b/c he thought I was being "negative" and copping a bad attitude.
Potaty: I also wanted to go w/o drugs, then had the induction, and suffered long and hard before I finally took the epidural. NIGHTMARE!
Amber: I wing it when eating out. There's always a hunk of meat or a side of shrimp you can buy. Eat a salad, drink water, and order meat. Sub broccoli for starch, and you'll be fine.
Kat: Thanks for the well wishes. When is the next round of waiting for BFP's? I'm not O'ing for another two weeks, so I have lots of hopeful energy to focus on this next set. Who's in the 2WW?

Sorry if I missed anyone else! I've been really busy lately. Love and hugs to all.

WEDNESDAY WEIGH IN!!!!

208.0
It's up, but that's okay. I'm claiming it because that pound will come right off. (I've already been to 206.8 this week, and I know I just haven't "settled" into my weight loss.) I'm expecting at least a two pound loss by next Wednesday, and hoping for three!

I slept funny last night and now my shoulder and neck are killing me! It happened the night before but not as bad. Maybe I need a new pillow?? Just took 2 tylenol so hopefully it will help.

Well, off to start my day- Happy Weds Gals!

Hiya girls,

Ok here's my wed weigh in : 235 that's down 2.5 from last week... living i a house with stairs must be paying off! I wish I could count that 2.5 towards our goal but I guess I'll just have to keep it up so I can get a whoosh next week too!

Christina- you look beautiful! that is a beautiful dress and I must say you don't look like a 22 AT ALL!!!!! you look much smaller than that! WTG!

When I am away from home...like all day yesterday... I bring string cheese, or some nuts, and I have been known to eat slim jims (I know they are "frankenfood" but MAN I love those things!)

Alas my yummy pork rinds are gone... I'm gonna have to go shopping soon!

Amber- I have a 10 yr old nephew, a 4 yr old niece, and a 2 yr old niece. All my older sister's children. This is my younger sister's first child. But I still get just as excited about every new one! I can't wait... hoping for tomorrow!

Menu today
B: omelet w/cheese and mushrooms
L: tuna salad, fresh mushrooms dipped in ranch
S: peanut butter
D: not sure yet

Yay the PBP is back! haha What brand do you get? I think I asked you before but I am curious again cuz I forget...I am not a huge fan of pork rinds but I might have to keep an eye out for those salt and vinegar ones!

I was happy to get on the scale and see 5 lbs of water gone in 2 days..not too shabby.

I will be back lata with my menu report

I am jealous of you ladies doing the mini challenge. I forgot to weigh this morning but I have been hovering just below the 200 mark lately. I need to stop drinking pop, so many empty calories!!!!! I am starving from nursing so if I replaced the pop with something with some actual nutritional value I bet I would start moving the scale again and be more satisfied. Pop has always been my vice. After a stressful day, a lot of people have a cigarette or a beer. Not me, I reach for the Pepsi and instantly feel better.

I will be here rooting all of you on!!!!

Well, I stuck to my menu that I posted last night, but I had a dove dark chocolate bar, too. Tonight, I'll remember to pack a bag of nuts instead.) We have a few of us hovering right around onederland. I hope this challenge will push us over the edge. I'm also hoping to see a whoosh with my egg creams. The one I had this morning was NOT bad at all, so I'm encouraged.

Thanks for cheering us on, Potaty!

Here is my menu for today:

B- Atkins shake
L- roast beef, cauliflower mash
S- iced coffee w/cream
D- big salad with roasted chicken
S- I just made a jello/cream cheese dessert. Probably 4 carbs per serving- I was expecting to make more servings but I only got two! Maybe when I eat it, I wont want the whole thing (yea right!) My carbs were pretty low for the day so I have extra space for this treat. Definately only make every once in a while! I will stick to regular sf jello next time..

Po- you totally should ditch the pop (that cracks me up by the way! we dont say pop up here) Thanks for cheering us on!

Nik- no worries- just move on and forget the chocolate...I read a bit about the egg creams..I am nervous to try it though.

Mel- what do you think the carb count would be for the peanut butter you grind in the store? I assume it woud be okay since there is no added ingredients. Not that I am ready for lovey, yummy peanut butter! They also have almond butter that you can do.. yummo

I have been cleaning like a maniac- good exercise, I suppose.. Friday is the surgery day for my DD so I will probably disappear for the day.

Well, to everyone!!

Hey girls. I'm just doing a quick check-in.

Nik - don't feel too bad about the dark chocolate bar - you seem to do okay with having a bit of the dark chocolate in your diet.

Okay, sorry girls...I'm having to make this quick.

katy - can you join us on the WL challange?

I'm having to run unfortunately - today has been so hectic. I did do okay - dinner was LC and I also took a 20 minute walk. Will be completely LC by Friday (still need to get some more groceries). I'm going to WI tomorrow. Unfortunately I remembered after I was fully dressed and didn't dare WI with all my work clothes on!

I'll see you all tomorrow. Happy Hump Day!

Last night we had dress rehearsals for tonight's talent show. (I got up early today to prepare and am wasting time on the net...) So I do this little dance in my skit where I reach up and then reach down, bending at the knee. It's a bit tiring, but I thought it would be fine. I didn't realize I'd have to do this little move 30 times! My quads are so weak that I don't know if I can do it tonight! I told a friend, "The only time I ever bend over like this is if I dropped something, and I only pick it up then if my son's not around to do it for me." JK- a little.

I weigh every day. I know you're not supposed to, but I usually only take an "official" weight every week. Since I'm not keeping track of my daily weigh-ins in my journal at this moment, I want to post my progress:
207.6
I knew it would come down! I'm hoping this egg cream thing for breakfast is going to help me get moving a little faster. And, no more Dove. I won't give up my Lindt, but it has about 1/4 the carbs of the Dove.

What happened-I like to keep a little in my car in case of emergencies. Last night when I got in my car, the emergency bar literally fell into my lap when I got my sunglasses out. Due to rising temperatures, the bar was melty. I couldn't leave it in the car to make a huge mess, and I couldn't throw away QUALITY CHOCOLATE! My kids' skit (that I wrote) was a total flop, so I figured, "Eh, I'll eat the da!@ chocolate!"

Potaty: I didn't mean to exclude you from the challenge! Join if you'd like; please! We can use all the help we can get. I just figured you'd be more focused on making nutritive milk for Tucker than on losing weight right now. Sorry if I seemed unwelcoming!

Nik~I wasn't feeling excluded, I was excluding myself I guess since I am breastfeeding, I didn't take it like that at all! I will of course do my best to lose along with you guys, but I'm thinking 25 lbs. is a bit steep since I can't LC so I'll just do my best, how 'bout that? I promised myself that I will stop drinking pop on Sunday (that gives me a few last hurrahs, haha).

Belle~Where are you from again? Do you say soda? It's so funny how things can be so regional!

Hi, everyone! Hoping all is well. My eyes are too computer-lagged to focus on posts today. We have a lot of work to do at the office in our unit, and i'm trying to get myself a month ahead so they'll have some foster homes ready for licensing while i'm away. I figured if I get one or two extra home in a month for the next 3 months, they'll have their quota for august or maybe september. they're pretty big files with a lot of interviewing, inspecting, and writing, so it's a little more time-consuming than one might think.

I'm trying to encourage DH back into the gym (he's already in great shape without exercise ), so i can just pick up the pace after Elijah's arrival. I'm not sure if I will be able to breast feed d/t the size and location of my fibroid, they're telling me, but i won't be devastated by it, even though i'd like to not only for him but for helping get some of the weight off.
