Endometriosis/excess estrogen from fat cells

I have been having severe TOM cramps for over 2 years now. My doctor highly suspects endometriosis. I will have lap surgery next Tuesday to verify.

I have done lots of research on endometriosis (I googled endometriosis and fat cells) and I have found some information that excess estrogen causes the endo to grow (faster). I have also learned that our bodies produce estrogen in the ovaries and that our fat cells also produce estrogen. I think that by being obese/overweight has caused excess estrogen that has worsened the endo, but I can't find any hard proof of this.

Does anyone know of any articles that address the issue of being overweight and endometriosis problems?

What happens while losing weight (does the endometriosis act up worse because of the body using up fat storage)? My pain has been severe the past 5 months while losing.

And most importantly...When I get to goal and maintain that goal, will the endo stop growing or slow down? I have heard that even when the endo is removed it can grow back, many patients have to have multiple surgeries.

At first I thought I wanted to have a hysterectomy to cure the endo, but after further research, it is the ovaries that cause the growth. And I definitely do not want to do hormone replacement therapy HRT.

At first I thought I wanted to have a partial hysterectomy to cure the endo, but after further research, it is the ovaries that cause the growth. And I definitely do not want to do hormone replacement therapy HRT.
