low carb and depo

Hi!
I am new to the boards (and the diet) You are all wonderful and I wish you all continued sucess!
I started my adventure on May 29 and just hit the 18 lb mark. I am doing low carb and watching my calories. So far so good. The hunger is virtually gone and the "head hunger" gets better every day.
I was wondering if anyone else is on the depoprovera shot? I have been on it for years and I think it is wonderful, but I am now wondering if it will affect my weight loss...I have been spotting for the last couple of days (something I haven't done for years) and read somewhere on here that the hormones are stored in your fat cells and released when you are burning fat. Has anyone else experienced this? It seems that my weight loss has stalled a bit while i've been spotting although I have not changed my diet or cheated in any way. (amazing in itself!)
I have a lot to lose-I started at 332, so I look forward to reading the stories for continued inspiration. My diet is now dr supervised although it's basically a version of Kimmers diet which I didn't even realize existed-under 20 carbs and 700-900 calories. I am also taking phentametrazine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
