TTCing but don't know what or how to eat now!
I am TTCing now and have been low carbing for over a year, reached my goal last fall and maintaining. My question is this: what should I eat now that we're trying? I normally keep my carbs around 20-40 a day, with occasional splurging here and there but my weight has been stable for the last 6 months this way. I have heard that losing weight while TTC isn't a good idea because it can interfere with fertility, but gaining weight isn't a good idea either I am assuming? How have you ladies dealt with this issue or am I overthinking it? I don't want to gain weight while TTC just for the reason of not low carbing. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind gaining appropriate weight for pregnancy, but not beforehand KWIM? TIA.

I think if you've been maintaining, you're probably fine! That's kind of my mindset, (with occasional bouts of trying to lose - but we've been TTC for a while now). As long as you're at a healthy weight and eating a good variety of nutritious foods, you should be fine.

I would try to incorporate plenty of veggies, but if your doing that, I dont see why you can't keep doing what your doing. Why would you add in nasty sugar and white flour?

I was TTC for over 6 months with no luck, then heard a news report on how adding more dairy into your diet can actually boost fertility. I've never really looked up online what the facts are behind this, but I added in a portion of plain yogurt every day, and I was pregnant the next month. Coincidence? Probably... but who knows? Just thought I would share.
