New Mommy Thread ~June 2007~
This is the month I dreaded I will be 35 this month. From this birthday on I shall stay 30 forever
.So what are everyones goals this summer besides weightloss? I would like to get my spare bedroom done before august. No one told me how hard it would be to remodel and all with a baby. I would love to get Alyssa to eat foods with texture without spitting them out and crying. It is still a battle with her eating and with her bottles. I would love to get out more as a family but now with my husband having to stay on the ship every 4 days that will be hard. Way to go on the weightloss Lucky

Happy BDay Kris!
No real goals for the summer except rest and relaxation, vacations, and as much beach time as I can get in before I have to go back to work. We are going down to Vero Beach in two weeks and staying down there four days for a Cystic Fibrosis camp... this is our first year going and Jaelyn is really excited... it will be the first time she has ever met anyone else with a condition like hers... i hope she can make some lifelong friends there... in July we have our family reunion in Daytona Beach for 3 days... and I will be back to work when Jaelyn starts school in August.. and sometime in there ... i should decide to start exercising... haha

Just getting another chance to get back on here
I'm at work today - Emma is spending the day with Grandma. I'm not back full-time until the 11th, but I come in once in a while to help get stuff back to normal and help keep up with stuff. Needless to say, work wasn't quite prepare for me to be out on maternity leave just yet ![]() Emma is doing good. She was sleep for at least 4 hours at a time, but for the last week or so it's been only 2-3 hours at a time. I'm assuming maybe it's because she's getting close to her due date or just getting older? She's also been spitting up after eating too - sometimes projectile. Oops - work is calling. ![]()

Here is the latest... a shameless plug, I know.
http://www.onetruemedia.com/otm_site...558a258554f241 paula~ bless your heart.. trying to work and Emma's not sleeping all night. That must be really tough. Thankfully, I had Ty sleeping all night for several weeks before I went back to work. But he's older than Emma too. I would talk to your dr about her spitting up like that . Babies do have reflux, especially preterm babies. they have Reglan for them and it helps wonders. We had pictures today, but I didn't tell Dad. I put together a collage type pic for father's day. They are so cute! Hope I can keep it a secret until then! They won't even come in for 10 days or so. Hmm. goals for this summer. Of course get this baby weight off, but I'd like to redo a spare bedroom too. today we're going to the zoo!! It's Down's syndrome day at the zoo, he's really too little, but I'd like to meet some of the other parents and network. One lady had a little boy one week older than Ty. SHe's very nice, my age and lives close. I hope her son & mine grow up friends too. Jessica~ I hope you're prepared for hurricanes! I heard on the news, they are predicting a record amount this year... be safe! Kris~ when's your actual birthday? I turn 30 every year too now. (I'm only 31 though, but still) Have a great weekend girls!!!

I love all the new slideshows. I am buying one for Jeremy for father's day on dvd, it is basically like the first one but with more pics. This is the link.
http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p...edium=text_url My birthday isnt until June 27th so I still have a few more weeks of being 34 Do any of you who had c-sections have any pain at all? Alyssa will be 8 months in 2 weeks and I still have pain. I know I should have it checked but I hate going to the dr. The pain is more of something I feel when getting on and off the bed or getting up from sitting or say if Alyssa stands on my belly. So I was just wondering if it was normal. Chrystee congrats on Alex rolling over. I remember how excited I was. Alyssa's new thing is pulling herself up on everything. She has been doing it for a few weeks but in select places now it is on every piece of furniture. It is a little scary for me but exciting for her. Jessica I am excited for Jaelyn, that will be fun for her. |

I was kinda wondering about that. I don't really have a lot of pain, but a little sort of. Once in a while if something something presses on my stomach it's sore - it's not by my incision though. |

Krisiee - No, I do not have any pain anymore. I am still a little bit numb around the incision, but my MD said that was normal. Paula, you may still have a little pain, because yours is newer, but by 8 months it should be healed.

Phoebeherself - I think I'm just ready, hopeful and sick of lugging around this huge belly. I know everyone moans at this stage, I'm just glad for airconditioning!
JD - good for you finding activities, I always take the kids to the free movies - by the end of the summer you'll want to shoot yourself however, bring an ipod ![]() |

Good Luck Mrs. I.
Ok, my baby is becoming mobile, and I DON'T LIKE IT. He only wants to sit up now, and if I give him my hands he will pull himself up. He rolled over the other day, and if I lay him on his playmat, he will dig his feet into the carpet, and he moved completely off his mat and turned around! |

Jaelyn and I attempted to take Jamisyn to get her first set of professional portraits today...
all I can say is my babies hate it, never liked it, and give me hell the first go round.... if we are home I get tons of smiles and coo's... when it is time to perform for the camera i get sour puss faces and tears! it is so frustrating... but i remember jaelyn at 3 months... those set of pics look like she is constipated from the face she is making... today macy's were a little better but not much... oh well, thank goodness they were free! |

Where do you ladies take your little ones for professional photos? I really don't think we can swing the large amount of money for a swanky professional. How are those places in the malls? Sears? Heck - doesn't even WalMart have something?

We go to Jcpenny for pics. They're alright.. not the best, but ok. But you can spend a penny there too. One of these days we'll do some nice ones.. probably at 1 year and family pics. Walmart has them, Target has them , Sears, Pennny's.

Mrs.I how are you feeling? I can't wait to see your baby!
Are your babies interested in playing with toys yet? I keep putting things in Mia's hands so she can grab onto them, but so far she's only interested in staring at me and smiling at me. Crystee- Mia is moving around a lot too. At night time when she gets fussy the only way to comfort her is to hold her up so she's almost standing, and she's starting to turn on her belly, half way at least. |

Oh you lucky girls isnt mobility great
. My life has not been the same since. My DH loves it but me it was fun for about 10 mins since I am the one with her all day. Mrs.I I am pretty sure we all hated the last month so I feel so bad for you. I hope it isnt too bad though. The Picture People is a place to get pictures done also but I dont know how much they cost. The pictures I have seen done from them are really nice but I think all the places Mandi mentioned takes nice pictures also. Have I mentioned yet how much I hate feeding Alyssa solids? It is the messiest thing ever. I was always been the person that hated messy babies and now at feeding time I have one. I know it is normal but when she gets her hand on the spoon food goes flying since she likes to bang her spoon on her highchair. Feeding her finger food isnt so bad though she tends to take a bath in it. I know it is a learning experience for her but it is so MESSY. Somedays I just want to cut out 3 holes on a garbage bag and put it over her and then get one for me. My DH always says to her, "baby monkeys arent even as messy as you". She laughs. She thinks whatever daddy says is funny. One new thing she has started though is crawling to me and putting her hands up to be picked up. Cutest thing ever , it melts your heart to be wanted like that when they come to you and want you. |
